Hafeez. One of Nigeria’s most promising new artists, this is a fast rising entertainer with a story of sheer determination, diligence and raw talent.
Hafeez was raised in Kaduna, northern Nigeria. Hausa is his native language and this is heavily featured in his musical content. The ambitious young artist has proclaimed himself the “Sarikin sautin arewa” – King of northern music.
He started recording and performing from his early teenage years. It was during these years he became close friends with an aspiring producer “Platinum Toxx” who went on to spearhead the acclaimed production super house “Studio Magic”. The pair later re-united to create more music. This includes “Waye Babanka”, Hafeez’s well-received introductory single. Hafeez and Studio Magic are currently working on his debut project.
He draws inspiration from various diverse sources when creating his music. Being a northern artist, he is heavily inspired by Hausa musical legends such as Dan Maraya jos and Mamman Shata. Other influences include artists such as D’Banj, he recalls being heavily influenced by MOHITS.
The young talent aims to entertain, inspire and elevate with his music. He promises to be a force to be reckoned with in the African entertainment industry.
