Ciara And Russell Wilson Get Married In Secret

Featured Image

Ciara and Russell Wilson are finally a couple after the lovebirds exchanged vows in a secret ceremony at Peckforton Castle, Liverpool, England.

And that’s a huge goodbye to their celibacy pact as the duo can finally smash, legally.

Friends and family including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Rowland witnessed Ciara walk down the aisle in a Roberto Cavalli gown as both bride and groom promised each other forever, Wednesday, (June, 6).

Due to the extreme privacy of the event, photographs aren’t made public yet as the couple employed a strict ‘no device’ policy at their wedding.

E! confirmed guests were required to drop their mobile gadgets before entering the venue to avoid photographs. They were also instructed to keep their knowledge of the affair on the down low as the newly weds didn’t want to publicize their private affair.

The singer and NFL player began dating in April 2015 and announced their engagement earlier this year.

Ciara and Russell made a celibacy pact to wait till marriage before having sex.

Despite public impression on the strength of a relationship surviving without sex, Ciara and Russell held the fort and can now say “goodbye celibacy” and “hello great sex”.

Season 7 Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ May Be Delayed – Winter is finally here in the Westeros and the 7 kingdoms, but we might have to wait a little while to see it.

The producers of the hugely-followed show Game of Thrones, have revealed that the show’s 7th season might be delayed as production is yet to start.

READ: Watch The Trailer For Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss both revealed that production had been delayed due to the wait for gloomy weather to fit the season’s theme.

“We don’t have an air date yet,” the duo said. “We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ — and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

New seasons of Game of Thrones usually debut in March or April, so we just might have to wait a little more.

“I, manager of England, will ask the giant Harry Kane not to hit crucial free-kicks but to be on the other end of it for a header. Especially if you are going to hit that free-kick to the moon.

“I, manager of England, will take Sir Alex Ferguson as my special advisor and my good friend Peter Schmeichel for the assistant job. So for the same price, you will get Tintin and the Captain Haddock!”

Memo To Buhari: Take A Hard Look At Nigeria’s Map – Okey Ndibe

Featured Image

Memo To Buhari: Take A Hard Look At Nigeria’s Map

I recently surveyed President Muhammadu Buhari’s top appointments and was left wondering when last he took a long, hard look at Nigeria’s map. Before the president makes another important political appointment, he would do well to spend some time looking at the map of the country that’s under his charge.

This piece was written by Okey Ndibe. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

President Buhari’s disdain for geopolitical spread and religious diversity in his appointments is so stark as to constitute a scandal. As far as appointments go, it’s as if the man believes that Nigeria is reducible to one half of its geography, the North, and one major religion, Islam.

As a presidential candidate, Mr. Buhari was frequently characterised as a man given to excessive clannishness. Some critics alleged that his fealty to the northern half of Nigeria and partiality to fellow adherents of the Islamic faith trumped his belief in Nigeria and commitment to treat people of other faiths with fairness.

Since his presidential ambition aroused such anxiety, Mr. Buhari might have taken care to reassure Nigerians—as he stated in his inaugural speech—that he belonged to all of them. Instead, he seems to have gone out of his way to validate his critics’ worst fears. His personnel decisions as president have suggested a man whose mindset is as sectional as his political instincts are terrible. In one year as president, his appointments have deeply disappointed many Nigerians’ expectations of equity. He has operated as if unaware of the longstanding requirement that important political appointments ought to reflect the country’s federal character.

I believe every section of Nigeria has a pool of talented people. Therefore, the president’s default stance, choosing candidates for major positions from his own geographic area and religious group, is troubling. Is Mr. Buhari’s vision so blinkered that, each time he looks at Nigeria, he sees (mostly) Muslims and Northerners? And has he no handlers and advisers willing to speak honestly to him, to save him from his parochial instincts, to tell him, quite simply, that his appointments don’t tell a flattering story about him?

During Mr. Buhari’s first few months in office, some excused his lopsided appointments on the ground that he needed to surround himself with people he knew closely, whose loyalty he could count on. But even that apologia was untenable. Here was a man who ran for the Nigerian Presidency four times before he got elected. I don’t recall him professing that, if elected, he would fashion himself primarily into a Northern president. Surely, we should expect that a man who spent so much time and energy seeking to govern his country would have made some effort to broaden his base of loyalists.

Besides, a president never relies entirely—or even primarily—on his own wits when it comes to matters of appointment. He has his contacts within a party to draw from. He also has the apparatuses of the state to help him make judicious appointments. A man who runs a country—and one as complex as Nigeria—should not simply hand jobs only to people within his circle of familiarity.

Last week, several acquaintances emailed me a piece by Segun Odunuyi x-raying the sectional character of President Buhari’s appointments in the security sector. Mr. Odunuyi began by stating, “With the recent appointment of a new Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria’s entire security architecture took on a distinct sectional shape.” He then gave a breakdown of the heads of the various security departments, showing that virtually all of them were Northern Muslims. They include Defence Minister, Mansur Dan-Ali; the Director General of the Department of State Security, Mamman Daura; Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Abubakar Sadique; IG of Police, Ibrahim Idris; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Controller General of Immigration, Muhammed Babandede; Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu; the Comptroller-General of Customs, Colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd.); Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Prisons Service, Ahmed Ja’afaru; Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, and Minister of the Interior, General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd.).

I’m willing to hazard that no previous Nigerian head of state, military or elected, ever had a record as clannish as the current president’s. As far as appointments go, he has utterly failed to demonstrate any broadness of spirit.

“Save for the Chief of Defence Staff (a Yoruba) and the Chief of Naval Staff (from Cross River), Nigeria’s entire defence structure with its command and control systems is controlled by one section of the country. Save for the Navy (whose operations, of course, are mainly coastal), Northern Muslims command every security organisation where men lawfully bear arms in Nigeria,” wrote Mr. Odunuyi.

Apparently, his piece has been widely circulated on the Internet. I must state that I identify with his deep concern.

Forget the question of whether these appointees are competent and above board. Even if the case could be made that they are a bunch of stellar performers, one can nevertheless raise the question: Are there no men and women from other parts of Nigeria and from different faiths who could have acquitted themselves well in these positions? Another question: Does President Buhari see Nigeria’s security machinery as the near-exclusive domain of Northerners and Muslims? Is it the case that he regards Nigerian Christians and those who hail from the country’s southern half as collectively disloyal, untrustworthy, even potential or real enemies of the state?

Nigeria is beset by numerous crises, including Islamist insurgency in the North-East, resurgent militancy in the Niger Delta, the agitation for Biafran secession in the South-East, and intermittent deadly attacks by Fulani herdsmen. The scale and spread of these crises demand a security team that is representative of the country’s ethno-religious diversity. I suspect that the sectional composition of President Buhari’s security team, the president’s initial hectoring response to militants in the Niger Delta, and the Nigerian state’s trigger-happy assaults on pro-Biafran agitators, have fertilised the perception that the Buhari Presidency was bent on an agenda of conquest.

A climate of mutual trust among Nigeria’s constituent ethnic units and religious groups is essential for repairing the country’s torn fabric. And that sense of trust is particularly shredded by President Buhari’s costly policy of looking inward, or Northward, any time he has an important appointment to make.

Apart from creating the impression that his vision of Nigeria is a deeply fractured one, President Buhari’s record of appointments has proved disastrous in other ways. Just last week, the Police Service Commission announced the retirement of 21 Assistant Inspectors General of Police, all of them senior to Mr. Idris, the president’s choice for acting IGP. Unless Mr. Buhari can demonstrate that the acting IG is something of a police genius and all the retired officers were deadwoods or worse, his decision to elevate Mr. Idris over many of his superiors has cost Nigeria the service and experience of too many officers who were not statutorily due for retirement. It’s called a waste of manpower.

It may be the case that the president is incapable of broadening his horizon when he has a job to fill. In that event, it behooves those closest to him—especially the Muslims and Northerners whose counsel he is likely to listen to—to point him to higher ideals of fairness. These advisers ought to alert the president to take a hard look at the map of Nigeria—especially its southern half—when next he must make a significant appointment.

Was A Remix for Kolewerk By Koker “Totally Needed“?

Featured Image

Chocolate City’s music artiste “Koker“, was one of the most played artistes in 2015 after he surfaced with the Fuji influenced Reinhard and L3 produced tune titled ‘Do Something’.

He’s well known for fusing rhythm and blues together with Fuji, coupled with his unique and catchy vocals.

Earlier this year–February 9th, 2016 to be precise–he released the killer tune KoleWerk. A well appreciated tune with phrases such as “Shu!! shuperu.. Warri!! Warrido???“ “ATM password; baby kolewerk“ that have become a trend.

The buzz for the original version of KoleWerk was loud for a while till someone reduced the volume.

On the 17th of June, 2016, a remix of KoleWerk was released, and it featured the ever burning Olamide.

After listening to the song, I pondered awhile, if the remix was necessarily needed.

But he got the right person on the song, and also at the right time; just when Olamide’s Who U Epp was trending –Tiempo perfecto (Perfect timing)–.

Olamide switched the song with his indigenous rap ability and flowing skills delivering funny lines like “Oju pupa idi dudu” with Notable Lyrics: “Ko ni da fun awon to ni ara baba o ya //  eko wole ewe lo jade // a ti kpa a ti kun // a wa ni eyan MAYORKUN // ori iya mi eleko …

If you understand Yoruba you’d get what Olamide did with that line –making reference to Mayorkun’s “Eleko”-.

Koker on the other hand, delivered some tweaked lyrics –if not totally brand new lyrics– and also took advantage of the present fuel price in a quick verse –see some lines below–

Baddoo Koker, KoleWerk // ela o // O Ma Ti Werk // fuel 145, KoleWerk // u wan hangout // omoge sho ma trek?.“

Was A Remix “Totally Needed“?

…In my opinion, I’d say yes, a remix for the song was totally needed.

Sure, the remix is banger but I don’t think it’s anything close to the original version. But to me, the remix served as a refreshment on what a 🔥 talent Koker is.

So, if you haven’t listened to this joint, it’s never to late to do so, and don’t forget that my opinion may differ from what you think.

Giaccherini Dreams Of Chelsea Move – Agent

Featured Image

Italy international, Emanuele Giaccherini is hoping to get a dream move to Chelsea. As he wants to reunite with Conte at Chelsea, according to his agent.

The 31-year-old impressed at the Euro 2016, with Italy, before they lost on penalties to Germany.

The midfielder was impressive while on loan at Bologna, after falling out of favour with Sunderland. He made just 11 appearances for the club, since the start of the 2014/15 season.

His agent also stated that Bologna, Torino and Fiorentina inquired about the possibility of signing the 31-year old.

But the prospect of joining Conte’s revolution at Chelsea would be tough to turn down, confirmed representative Furio Valcareggi.

“Do we have an agreement with the Granata [Torino]? Not at this time,” he told GazzaMercato. “There has been contact made and there is interest.

“Torino inquired about the costs and requirements of a possible deal, now we are both reflecting. But it is the same for Fiorentina and Bologna, who are assessing the situation before moving forward.

“Chelsea remain a dream.”

Conte takes charge of Chelsea later this month after two years as Italy coach and is believed keen to bring a number of his Italy proteges with him to Stamford Bridge.

Ingram On Filling Bryant’s Shoes: I Welcome The Pressure

Featured Image

Brandon Ingram has a small frame, and now he has to deal with the pressure of filling Kobe Bryant’s shoes at the Lakers.

The No. 2 overall pick in the NBA 2016 Draft, learnt on Tuesday, he’ll be taking over Bryant’s practice locker.

Talk about pressure.

“I saw where my locker was, and I definitely knew it was Kobe’s locker,” Ingram said Tuesday at his introductory news conference at the Los Angeles Lakers’ training facility. “I know [general manager] Mitch [Kupchak] told me I had some big shoes to fill when I came in here, but I liked it. I like the pressure that’s on me right now. It’s going to motivate me to do good things on the court. It’s all good pressure for me.”

Ivan Zubac, who was the Lakers selection with the No. 32 overall pick, was introduced alongside Ingram. And he was asked if he is jealous that Ingram inherited Bryant’s locker, as Zubac was a die-hard Bryant and Lakers fan growing up.

Zubac laughed. “No, he can have that pressure,” he said.

Ingram will have to vie for the small forward starting position with 12-year veteran Luol Deng.

Yet the top draft pick is not intimidated by the challenge it poses. But intends to win the spot and learn from Dieng in the process.

“I haven’t talked to him yet, but I plan to pick his brain on different things,” Ingram said. “He’s been in this league for a very long time. I hear nothing but good things about him. In practice, I plan on competing against him each and every day. It’s up to the coaches who starts.”

If Ingram can’t outperform Deng and earn his way into the starting lineup, he will be upset. At the end of the day, though, he said he will do whatever new head coach Luke Walton asks of him, including accepting a bench role or fewer minutes.

“Of course, from my competitive side, it matters to me,” Ingram said. “But if I have to be a reserve, I’ll be coachable enough to do whatever the coach tells me to do.”

Ferguson: Mourinho Made The Wrong Decision In Returning To Chelsea

Featured Image

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Mourinho made a wrong decision in returning to Chelsea for a second stint.

The Portuguese left the Stamford Bridge before Christmas last year. And has replaced LVG at Manchester United.

Mourinho won the league on his return back to the Bridge. But he was dismissed after he won only nine of 16 games in the following season.

And Ferguson, a friend of the former Real Madrid and Inter coach as well as a club ambassador at United, believes Mourinho should never have returned to Chelsea.

“I thought Jose was wrong to go back to Chelsea, I really do,” the legendary former United boss told Sky Sports at a charity event.

“I think it’s always difficult going back to somewhere for a second time.

“The ability, charisma and personality, his success is high, won a European Cup twice with different clubs, won a Europa [League] with Porto, winning titles with all the teams he’s managed. His record – you can’t ignore that.

“I think Manchester United is the right kind of club for him, I really do. I think we’ll do well.”

United finished fifth in the league last season, but Mourinho has already added Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly to his squad with further signings likely.

The TUC also gave Governor Abiola Ajimobi, a 15-day ultimatum to pay the six months salary arrears due to the state civil servants or resign from office.

The statement called on philanthropists, clerics and well-meaning Nigerians and the international community to save the soul of Oyo civil servants through the distribution of foods and other relief materials.

The statement said that it was worrisome that about 26 other state governments were owing salary arrears of close to five months; subjecting their workers to poverty and penury.
