Asmir Begovic : Antonio Conte Has Higher  Expectations Than Jose Mourinho

Featured Image

Antonio Conte expects more from his players than any manager Asmir Begovic has worked with before.

Begovic was signed by previous Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in July 2015, but feels the Italian brings more intensity to the training ground, which in turn has helped the Blues improve this season.

Begovic told the Mirror: ‘One thing is his intensity. He pays attention to detail every day and the expectations he has on a daily basis are very high.

‘If we reach that high level every day in training then it translates into games. So I think that those expectations are something very new. The way we work on a daily basis is good for us.

‘It is not necessarily longer on the training ground. We manage the hours very well and do whatever work is necessary – sometimes longer if needed, sometimes shorter.’

One of the major improvements made by Conte has been Chelsea’s defence – they have conceded just nine goals in ten Premier League games, compared to 16 at this point last year.

He said: ‘The defensive work is important. He takes a lot of pride in that. But the whole team and the roles of everyone on the pitch are identified equally and every department is important.

‘It starts from the defence, but he puts detail and work into every part of the team.’

Real Madrid Considering Mauricio Pochettino As Zinedine Zidane’s Successor

Featured Image

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is on Real Madrid’s radar, according the Sunday Mirror.

Despite Zinedine Zidane leading Real to Champions League glory last season, there are reportedly doubts over his long-term future.

The club’s president Florentino Perez has proved ruthless in his ambition to keep the Spanish giants on top.

In his first spell in charge he even sacked Vincente Del Bosque despite the former Spain manager winning the Champions League in 2002.

Pochettino could be tempted by a return to La Liga having managed Espanyol from 2009 to 2012.

What is still galling for Perez and the club’s hierarchy is that they haven’t been crowned champions of Spain since 2012, bitter rivals Barcelona winning the league on three occasions and neighbours Atletico Madrid once.

That’s why discussions have started about possible future managerial targets – and right now Pochettino is top of the list.

It is understood chairman Daniel Levy is aware of Real’s interest and will face a fight to stop Pochettino eventually leaving, despite the manager having signed a new five-year contract only last summer.

“Aston Villa Never Explained Why I Didn’t Get A New Contract” –  Stiliyan Petrov

Featured Image

Former Aston Villa midfielder Stiliyan Petrov has told GOALS ON SUNDAY Aston Villa gave him no explanation for not offering him a contract in the summer.

Petrov joined Villa in 2006 from Celtic , but was forced to endure a long period out of the game after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia in 2012.

However, Petrov recovered from the cancer and made his first appearance back in a Villa shirt in July this year during a pre-season friendly with Austrian side GAK.

The 37-year-old had retained hopes of making a return to Villa, who were relegated to the Sky Bet Championship at the end of last season, but he revealed he was only offered a coaching role at the club instead.

“That was the most important thing for me, not to miss sessions, to get the stamina back, I had a chance,” said Petrov, when explaining his efforts to force his way into then Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo’s plans.

“I managed to do that. I thought then I’m on the right role, I’m getting closer, but they’ve told me that I won’t get anything at the club as a player.

“They offered me a role as a coach in the youth system, I didn’t want it. Not yet. I wanted to finish as a footballer. I didn’t have a chance and I think I’ve lost my heart after that because I’ve put so much work in.

“I said before I was ready just to finish as a player. I didn’t want a pay off, I didn’t want to twist their hands about contracts or anything else. I just wanted to finish as a footballer because it was taken away from me.

Petrov added: “They didn’t need to make that decision so early. They didn’t give me a reason. If Di Matteo had turned round and said ‘you know what, you’re not good enough, you’re not fit enough, you’re too old’, then I would have accepted it.”

Liverpool Planning Bid For Another Southampton Player, Sam McQueen

Featured Image

Southampton 21-year-old Sam McQueen is the latest player at the club to be targeted by Liverpool, according to The Sun.

The young full-back has risen to the fore in Claude Puel’s side due to a defensive injury crisis, meaning McQueen has played in the last four games before the visit of Chelsea on Sunday.

McQueen is also attracting the interest of Leicester City, according to the report, but has hinted he wants to earn a regular spot at St Mary’s before considering a move away.

McQueen told the Southampton Daily Echo: “You just have to worry about what’s right in front of you, but I would hope that I would still stay with the first team and hopefully still get some game time.

“I need to try and impress as much as I can in the games that I get, so hopefully if I get any more chances I need to do my absolute best.

“I need to get forward as much as I can, defend well and do the things that the manager’s asked.

“I need to try and put myself in a position to be selected. It’s up to him [Puel], but I need to do everything I can to try and put myself forward.”

Jose Mourinho Bans Bastian Schweinsteiger From Playing For Manchester United Reserve Team

Featured Image

Bastian Schweinsteiger’s move away from Manchester United looks to be edging closer with the retired Germany international banned from playing for United’s under-23 side, according to the Mirror.

The £170,000-a-week midfielder has been frozen out by Mourinho and was not named in United’s 25-man squad for the Premier League this season.

He is not even required for duty on Thursday nights after he was omitted from the Europa League squad as well.

Schweinsteiger, 32, was also left out of the team photo for the current campaign and has not played since March.

Reserve boss Warren Joyce had asked Jose Mourinho to play Schweinsteiger in the U23 Premier League, but Mourinho refused the request, with the 32-year-old midfielder not being able to feature for any United side.

he president of the Bundesliga champions, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said earlier this year. “I could hardly believe it. One or two players are going to think long and hard in future about whether they want to go to such a club.

“Nothing like that has ever happened at Bayern Munich.”

Boko Haram Hiring Youths To Supply Fuel – NSCDC

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Borno state has raised the alarm that youths in Maiduguri, the state capital, are now being recruited by Boko Haram to supply fuel in Gamboru Ngala area of the state.

In a statement issued on Sunday and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri, the Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi stated that the command had intercepted a reasonable quantity of fuel packaged in a carton of groundnut oil, bound for Gamboru Ngala.

He said since Boko Haram are running out of food and other supplies, they have employed all sorts of means to replenish stock.

The statement read: “The command had so far arrested a suspect, who confessed that he did not know the owner of the consignment that he was asked to deliver to the insurgents trapped in Gamboru Ngala.

“He later confessed that each of the five litres of fuel is sold at N15,000 to the insurgents.

“You will recall we raised the alarm that some agents of Boko Haram were transporting stolen cows from Mafa, Kalabalge and Bomboshe axis in the state to cattle market in Maiduguri.

“The Boko Haram usually send the cows to their agents in the city who will then sell them and repatriate either cash or fuel to the terrorists.

“We are therefore warning the people especially drivers not to accept or convey any form of message that looks suspicious to any one, especially along the Gamboru axis.

“We are also warning the drivers, park owners and union groups to always check their passengers and their luggages to avoid transporting bad elements that would cause havoc in the society.

Why The North Appears To Dominate Nigeria – Reno Omokri

Why The North Appears To Dominate Nigeria, By Reno Omokri

To understand why there seems to be a Northern domination of the Nigerian polity (as against a Hausa or Fulani domination, which is a myth), one has to read and understand the principle of unity found in Genesis 11:6:

“The LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

This piece was written by Reno Omokri. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of

The above verse of scripture is the bedrock of the seeming Northern dominance in Nigeria. You see, even if a people are more intelligent and educated than their neighbours, they will nevertheless serve those neighbours if they are not united and the neighbour is united, because unity is greater than both education and intelligence.

To understand the Northern psyche, try to join several social media fora. In such fora, you will find that Southern Nigerians are very indiscipline in the way they use words to run down their leaders and people. Nothing is sacrosanct to them.

Southerners can and have insulted their political, traditional and spiritual leaders, using some of the foulest language on earth. I know of young Southern Nigerians who have called former President Jonathan a ‘pig’ and Southern elders who have called his wife a ‘hippo’, and others who have used the most insulting words on the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

When we behave like this, we show ourselves as pedestrian to our Northern brothers. We indicate that we are a people of a lower culture, because no matter how educated you are, if you cannot respect your own fathers (whether they deserve respect or not) then you are lower than an illiterate who respects his father.

In Exodus 20:12, God commanded us to honour our father and our mother. He did not say we should honour them because they are honourable or because they deserve respect. He said we should honour them because He as God commands it. And he attached a promise to that command – “Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”

Northerners understand this principle. The principle is that you should honour your own father and mother, not your neighbour’s father and mother. They are honouring their fathers and their mothers and that is why God is ensuring that they “will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” That is why they are ruling and leading, and deservedly so!

And if you notice, the average Northerner will join you a Southerner to insult your leaders and fathers. If you want to insult ex-President Jonathan, they will join you. If you want to insult Pastor Oritsejafor or his successor, Pastor Ayokunle, they will join you. If you want to insult the Oba of Benin or the Ooni of Ife, they will join you. Even if you want to insult Southern leaders like Chief Olu Falae and Afenifere or Alex Ekwueme and Ohana’eze Nd’Igbo or even Chief E.K. Clark and the South South People’s Assembly, they will join you.

However, the minute the matter shifts to Northern leaders or elders or traditional rulers, the Northerner will show the stuff he is made out of and will not join you in insulting his or her elders and institutions. It does not matter if that particular leader, elder or traditional ruler is more guilty of an offense than his Southern counterpart. As long as he is Northern, the average Northerner, commendably, has the discipline to respect his own.

I urge you, if you are a Southerner, to think back to all those Northerners who joined you in insulting and rubbishing the then President Goodluck Jonathan. Are they doing the same to President Buhari? Are they supporting you when you call attention to the president’s misdeeds?

Where are those Northerners who left the North to sit down with you in Ojota to dance to Pasuma Wonder as you demonstrated against Jonathan for removing the subsidy on petroleum products? Did you hear even a whisper from them when President Buhari did even what Jonathan did not do and increased fuel without increasing salary? (Jonathan increased salaries before increasing fuel price).

Or have you noticed that they are making excuses for the president? Are you seeing that the same persons who joined you in rubbishing Dr. Jonathan are calling on you to exercise patience with President Buhari?

What about when the Sultan of Sokoto defended Fulani herdsmen and asked the media not to criminalise them and said that criminals who kill people during fights for grazing grounds are to be differentiated from herdsmen, did your Northern neighbours pounce on him the way you pounced on Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor when he called on Christians to defend themselves against the radical Islamic sect of Boko Haram?

I remember young Southerners who called Pastor Oritsejafor every evil and foul name in the world when he said that. They were gleefully joined by their Northern neighbours. But now that the case has been reversed, have those who joined you to rubbish pastor Oritsejafor invited you to do same to the Sultan? Of course not!

You see, when you sell your own mother for a penny, you cannot expect your neighbour to price her for a pound. And when you neighbour sets the price of his mother at a pound, he will never sell her to you for a penny.

Those Southerners on Twitter and Facebook who were championing the downfall of then President Jonathan are now providing excuses to justify the downfall of our beloved naira from ₦225 to a dollar that Jonathan left it to ₦470 to a dollar today.

As vile as you and I down south consider the late General Sani Abacha to be, he is still beloved up North so much so that more monuments and facilities are named after him in the North than are named after any other Northerner, with the arguable exception of the late Murtala Mohammed.

This is a man of whom it has been established beyond every reasonable doubt that he was a thief, and not just a thief but a blatant one, of whose loot hundreds of millions of dollars of are still being repatriated to Nigeria from foreign countries today. Yet, when our corruption hating President Muhammadu Buhari went to pay homage to him on the tenth anniversary of his death, he said and I quote “Abacha never stole”!

Yet today, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will arrest those who served in the previous administration without providing any evidence, Southerners will deride and convict these people simply because an EFCC “source” leaked to the press that they are guilty!

So, to all those who called Jonathan, who gave us the third fastest growing economy in the world a ‘pig’, you can now see that your neighbours who laughed with you when you did that know in their heart that you are the real ‘pig’ because they will never trust a man like you who insults his own mother and father to please his friend with any type of power.

They may not like me, but I assure you, if push comes to shove, they will prefer me and others like me because they know that a man who respects his father and mother is a man who understands power!

And that, my friend, is the reason for the seeming political dominance of Northern Nigeria over Southern Nigeria. They are united and because of their unity, “nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Mkhitaryan Calms United Faithfuls, Says Better Days To Come

Featured Image

Manchester United has had a lacklustre start to the EPL season and Henrikh Mkhitaryan had moved to reassure the fans and believes better days will come.

But the 27-year-old, seemingly suggesting that he is not seeking an immediate exit from the club, has tweeted to reassure supporters that things will get better this season.

The text, posted on social media site Twitter, read: “Better days will come for us! We march on. One for all and all for one!”

Alan Shearer : Zlatan Ibrahimovic And Marcus Rashford Should Be Partnered Together

Featured Image

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Premier League goal woes would be resolved by partnering him with Marcus Rashford up front, according to Alan Shearer.

The Swedish striker has failed to score in his last six games in the English top flight and fired another blank against Burnley on Saturday.

Resolute defending and superb saves from Tom Heaton played a big part in keeping him off the scoresheet at Old Trafford. However, the former Newcastle striker believes Ibrahimovic’s improvement in the second-half suggests he would benefit from playing alongside a striker with pace such as Rashford.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer said: ‘He looked better when Rashford went up front with him in the second-half. It added more pace to the game.

‘Ibrahimovic has never been blessed with great pace, but when you get to your thirties, you lose a yard of pace. Craig Bellamy came to help me at Newcastle with his pace.

‘I feel as though that’s what Manchester United need, to have him up front along with Rashford to ask more questions going in behind rather than facing up all the time.’

Ibrahimovic individually had 12 shots on goal without finding the back of the net as United failed to score with any of their 37 strikes. Shearer suggested that the striker ‘could have still been playing now’ without scoring

He continued: ‘You’d fancy him to walk away with at least four or five. Tom Heaton made some brilliant saves, one of which was just superb. They kept on going, they kept on passing it, they kept on creating the chances.

‘Some of (Burnley’s) defending was brilliant. You just know that it isn’t working for you whatever you try.’

Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands shortly after half-time after airing his frustrations at the referee Mark Clattenburg. Shearer believes the Portuguese manager is growing frustrated at United.

‘He doesn’t know his best XI yet,’ he added. ‘He’s playing around with the team and the formation as well. He’s still trying to work it all out.’

MK Dons To Consider Ryan Giggs As Potential New Manager

Featured Image

MK Dons will check on the availability of Ryan Giggs before choosing their next manager to replace Karl Robinson.

The League One strugglers – who languish 20th in the table – are looking for a replacement for Karl Robinson, who was axed after more than six years at the helm.

It is reported that chairman Pete Winkelman is keen to bring in a big name to help lift spirits after a disastrous season.

Winkelman has previously employed Paul Ince and Roberto Di Matteo and would like to see if Giggs would consider starting his career there with the former Manchester United idol having withdrawn any interest in Wigan Athletic.

Another candidate is former MK Dons player Paul Mitchell who is better known for his successful work as the Head of Recruitment and Southampton and Tottenham.

Though Mitchell hasn’t worked as a first-team manager before, Winkelman won’t rule candidates out on that criteria feeling an injection energy is important after the club seemed to go stale under Robinson following relegation from The Championship in May.

Former LA Galaxy Manager Warns Club Not To Sign Wayne Rooney

Featured Image

Former LA Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas has warned against the club trying to sign Man Utd skipper Wayne Rooney.

The five-time MLS Cup winners have been linked with a move for Rooney, who has had to settle for a substitute’s role for club and country in recent matches, despite Jose Mourinho’s assertion that the England captain is not for sale.

Lalas said in the Sun on Sunday: “They got little return on the Steven Gerrard investment and does Rooney still have much to give and something which works in the MLS, even if he is five years younger than Gerrard?

“Are you replacing a player who had limited involvement and limited impact, with yet another player who will have limited involvement and limited impact? If Rooney, at 31, doesn’t still have the things which made him great, then it’s problematic.

“Living in Beverly Hills is great. But if you don’t couple it with performances on the field then you are just stealing money. The player he is now isn’t the player of 10 years ago – but then no one is.”

Conte: Terry Will Get No Special Treatment

Featured Image

John Terry’s status as captain of Chelsea will not stop Antonio Conte from relegating him to the bench.

The Italian says he will not treat the centre-back any different. The 35-year-old made a return to the starting XI in Chelsea’s 2-1 EFL cup loss to West Ham on Wednesday. He has been out of action due to an ankle injury.

Terry had been an unused substitute for Chelsea’s previous two matches and is expected to be back on the bench when Conte’s men travel to play Southampton on Sunday, with the Italian not giving the long-serving centre-back any special treatment.

“My decisions are only for the best for the team, for the club and to win,” Conte told reporters.

“If one player is captain or vice-captain, it’s not important.

“It’s important to find the right solution to take the best decision for the team, in this moment. Yes, I can make a mistake, but I always try to make the best decision.

“We win together and we lose together in every circumstance. I have always to take the best decision for the team, never for an individual player.

“It’s logical that John came back from injury and it’s not easy to restart and to find quickly the right shape. I’m satisfied [with] him and the team.

“John is an important player for us – if he plays or if he doesn’t play – for the changing room, for his team-mates, for the club.”

Conte Has Asked Ferguson Not To Write Off Chelsea

Featured Image

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte believes it is too soon for Sir Alex Ferguson to write off Chelsea’s chances of winning the EPL.

The former Manchester United manager highlighted his club, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham as clubs capable of winning the league.

With Chelsea’s 4-0 thumping of Manchester United at Stamford Bridge not seeming to impress Ferguson.

Conte respects Ferguson’s opinion, but believes with hard work, his men can be illimitable.

“I respect a lot what he said, but I know that we are working very well,” the former Juventus and Italy boss said.

“I think now we are now in a good way to improve a lot and to become a team that can stay (in contention) until the end to get something.

“Our ambition must be always to play to win every game. Always. It’s important. I try to transfer this to my players in every moment, in every day, every week, in every game.

“We must be ambitious. But to be ambitious you must work a lot.”

Conte was asked if Chelsea, beaten in the EFL Cup at West Ham on Wednesday, were ahead of schedule in terms of his expectation levels, almost four months into the job.

He said: “I’m very happy for the work that we are doing. And I’m sure that if we continue in this way, we can have good satisfaction for our work.

“It’s important now to be focused on the work during the training session, on the game, game by game and to try to improve in every game.

“And to be ambitious, to work for the maximum always. You can reach this (aim) or not, but it’s important to work a lot with this target.”

Antonio Conte : I Didn’t Know N’Golo Kante Before Coming To England

Featured Image

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted he didn’t know who N’golo Kante was before arriving in England, but is now a big fan of what he brings to the side
It did not take long, though, for the Italian to get up to speed, with Chelsea luring the 25-year-old away from the King Power Stadium in a £32 million deal.

Conte now concedes that the Blues have secured themselves the “complete midfielder”, with Kante having shown during his short time in west London that he is about much more than merely breaking up play and making life easier for the more creative talents around him.

“Did I know him before I came here? The answer is no. I do now,” said Conte.

“I think he’s a complete midfielder, not only a defensive midfielder.

“I like when N’Golo goes to press the play in the system we are playing now, I like it a lot. N’Golo is very good.

“I remember before the game against Leicester, many people said that he is a different player compared to last year, when he played for them.

“But I said N’Golo is playing very well at the moment and we are very pleased to have him here in the side playing for us.”

Kante has impressed alongside Nemanja Matic in the Chelsea engine room, and opened his goal account for the club in the Blues’ recent 4-0 drubbing of Manchester United.

AC Milan Considering Bid For Leicester City Striker Shinji Okazaki

Milan are weighing up a move for Leicester striker Shinji Okazaki, reports Premium Sport.

Okazaki, who played a key role as Leicester won the Premier League in 2015/16, has started only half of the Foxes’ 10 league games this season.

And according to Premium Sport, the Rossoneri are considering launching a move for the Japan international, who is under contract until 2019.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri recently praised the Japanese striker after his performance against Crystal Palace last week

‘He is a hard worker – sometimes he’s not so close to goal but when ball is around the box Shinji is always there,’ said Ranieri. ‘He is important for the team because he presses a lot. He is our dilly-ding dilly-dong, he wakes up our players – he has the bell!

‘I watched the match against Crystal Palace, we went back to our philosophy, everybody concentrated, everybody close with right discipline, that’s why I said I recognise the team. It’s important they don’t go back, that they stay this way.’

Klopp On Liverpool’s Shaky Defence: We Will Sort It Out

Featured Image

Jurgen Klopp is insistent the Liverpool defence will be sorted in time, after his defenders committed errors that led to two avoidable goals.

Dejan Lovren was the first culprit, his error affording James MacArthur the chance to cancel out Emre Can’s opener. However, he made amends by scoring moments later.

MacArthur found the net just after the half-hour mark, this time Alberto Moreno failed to close down Zaha, whose cross assisted the former Wigan Athletic midfielder to complete his brace.

Further Liverpool goals from Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino ultimately sealed victory for Klopp’s men and the German is certain they will shape up at the other end with time.

“We will sort the defence and then, what happens [regarding a title challenge], we will see,” he told reporters.

“They can defend really well, it’s normal and I know for this game that everybody will talk about this.

“But inside a football team I don’t think it’s new. I don’t go into the dressing room and say ‘you are a really bad defender and you are the goalkeeper, where are you?’

“They are all human beings. We work on it and I am completely convinced about the quality. If they make mistakes and stay in the game then it’s a very good test for them and they stayed.

“I’m happy with the reaction. Not with the situation, not with the start of the game, that’s what we have to work on. I’m fine, we will work on it and see where it leads us to.”

MUSIC: Imanse – Original Somebody

Featured Image

Fast rising songstress, Imanse, is getting a lot of attention from the Nigerian music industry with her eccentric, bold and fierce sound.

Many music reviewers admit falling in love with her music the first time they heard it… she is unmistakably original. A fusion of Afrobeat, Pop, R&B and Soul music that takes us back to the good old days of sweet melody and great hooks.

Imanse, not taking any time to bask in the success of her song “Gbona” featuring Falz The Bad Guy, has put out another melodic sizzler, “Original Somebody”.

It is pure beauty the way Imanse’s music fuses different musical cultures into a seamless rendition in “Original Somebody”, where she boldly played with different Nigerian languages in this perfect delivery of afrobeat, pop, and dance piece.

Even high life lovers would find a groove in this song.

“Original Somebody” is a witty love song that has Imanse’s signature guitar strings. She comes consistent with a particular rhyming pattern in the lyrics of this afro eat song; she didn’t miss out a single line. The ingenious guitar play was by ace guitarist; ‘Fiokee’.

The song was produced by DJ Coublon and written by Imanse and Klem.

Imanse seems to see the need for a fresh, ethnic voice in the Nigerian music scene and is set to carve that niche for her talented self. She no doubt has, what it takes to hold that sway.

She is a prolific songwriter that has written several songs for a Broadway play in Maryland in the US, “No Limit” which was a huge success.

Imanse pushes the boundaries with “Original Somebody” as she showcases her smooth and clear voice with her boastful theatrical music background.

Burnley Goalkeeper Tom Heaton Says He Nearly Broke His Arm Against Manchester United

Featured Image

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has described the feeling of taking a Zlatan Ibrahimovic shot in full force.

Heaton, who was in inspired form as Burnley battled for a famous 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, repeatedly denied Manchester United who had an astonishing 37 shots on goal during the stalemate.

Of those 37 attempts, under-pressure veteran striker Ibrahimovic attempted to beat Heaton on 12 occasions but failed taking his goalless run to six games.

‘I knew I had two men behind me on the line so I thought I’d get out, close the space and spread,’ Heaton said after a stunning save denied Ibrahimovic.

‘Thankfully it has hit me but it nearly broke my arm!’ the goalkeeper joked.

‘We came with a gameplan, put in an incredible shift and hung in there,’ Heaton added on reflection.

‘Much has been made about our away form but what a place to come and get our first point.’
