Stoke and Liverpool are interested in signing Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac, according to Kicker.

But the Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac has confirmed preliminary talks have begun with Schalke 04 over a new deal, despite interest from both EPL clubs.

Kolasinac is set to enter the final six months of his current contract on the turn of the year, and won’t be short of suitors as the possibility of a free transfer presents itself.

According to German publication Bild at the beginning of November, Klopp is monitoring Kolasinac’s situation in Gelsenkirchen, with the Bosnian seeking assurances over his role under manager Markus Weinzierl.

Leicester City Make £15.5 Million Bid For Super Eagles Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi

Featured Image

Leicester have made a £15.5m offer for Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, reports Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

The report suggests talks are continuing between the two clubs ahead of a possible move in January.

The 19-year-old, who can play in central midfield or defence, has caught the eye with his mature displays for Genk over the past two seasons.

And now newspaper HLN have reported that Leicester have opened the bidding to sign him when the window opens in January.

They are said to have lodged a cash bid of £15.5m which could rise to £18m in performance related add-ons.

However Genk are holding out for more money for the Nigeria-born starlet, and hope to scoop around £21.5m for any sale.

The club’s technical director Dimitri De Conde told the paper: “Ndidi and [team-mate Leon] Bailey have indicated that they want to stay until the end of the season.

“But suppose there comes a megabid, it is very difficult to keep them here.”

City are expected to try to bring in another central midfielder during the transfer window as Papy Mendy is still struggling to recover from an ankle injury that has kept him out since August.

Leicester City Considering January Bid For Olympiakos Midfielder Luka Milivojevic

Featured Image

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is targeting Serbia international midfielder Luka Milivojevic, according to the Daily Mirror.

Milivojevic is currently plying his trade for Olympiakos.

Since the departure of N’Golo Kante, the Foxes have struggled to find a partner for Danny Drinkwater in the centre of the pitch and it may lead to boss Claudio Ranieri trying to strengthen his squad during the January window.

According to The Mirror, the Foxes have Milivojevic on their radar and they had a chance to cast an eye on the 24-year-old when he played for Serbia against Wales earlier this month.

However, it remains to be seen whether Olympiacos will entertain any bids for the player who has scored three times in 11 outings this season.

Daniel Amartey and Andy King have been used alongside Drinkwater since the start of the season, with summer signing Nampalys Mendy having struggled to recover from an ankle injury.

Domingos Quina Signs First Professional Contract At West Ham

Featured Image

West Ham United have fended off interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs to land midfielder Domingos Quina on a three-year contract.

The former Benfica and Chelsea schoolboy, who turned 17 last Friday was determined to pledge his long-term future to the east London Club.

Quina has already attracted headlines this season after he scored a 40-yard wonder goal against Leicester City for the U23s in October and now hopes to impress Slaven Bilic in the coming weeks and months and become a regular part of the first-team squad.

After signing his contract, Quina told West Ham’s official website: “I am very happy to have signed my first professional contract with West Ham and it has always been my dream. I chose West Ham because it is a great club and they like to give young players opportunities to break into the first-team like Reece Oxford and I hope to do the same.

“I like to enjoy my football and do things which people are not expecting. I really enjoyed my goal against Leicester [in the U23s] and it was a great moment. That was not the first time I had scored a goal like that and hopefully there is more to come.

“I know that talent alone is not enough to see me develop as a player and I just want to keep working hard every day. Hopefully I will get my chance.”

First-team manager Slaven Bilic added: “I am personally delighted with the news. We know a lot about him and he came away with us on pre-season. He is one of those players that you think if he doesn’t make it, then which player will?

“He has got everything and it is now down to us and up to him how much he is going to improve and dedicate his life to achieve something that God gave him. There is no doubt he has something exceptional.

“He is skilful and is one of those players who doesn’t have to think about his first touch because it comes so naturally to him. He is not afraid of challenges and has skill and vision. I have named everything and that is why is we are so happy to see him sign a contract.”

Quina was part of the Portugal side that claimed the Euro Under-17 title in Azerbaijan in May.

West Brom Looking To Sign Charlton Striker Ademola Lookman

Featured Image

West Brom are considering a swoop for Charlton striker Ademola Lookman, according to The Sun

The Sun writes that Nick Hammond has been keeping a close eye on Lookman as Albion prepare to do business in January.

He’s made 40 league appearances since bursting through into their first-team last season, and chips in with his fair share of goals – Lookman has netted eight thus far.

Able to play anywhere from on the wing to a central forward role, the Londoner has also featured twice for England at under-20 level.

Salomon Rondon has impressed, but adding a young attacker with pace to take over from Berahino – if the 23-year-old does leave The Hawthorns – should be a priority for the Baggies

Competition is fierce, with the report adding that both Crystal Palace and Chelsea have been interested in Lookman recently, but the Baggies will hope to beat their Premier League rivals to the teenager’s signature.

Gelson Martins Attracting Interest From Manchester United And Chelsea

Featured Image

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Sporting Lisbon’s Portugal international winger Gelson Martins, who has a €60m (£51m) buyout clause in his contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, reports Spanish newspaper AS.

Martins is expected to feature when Sporting face Real Madrid in the Champions League tomorrow night.

The winger has risen up through the youth ranks to establish himself as one of the Sporting’s most important players.

And, according to The Sun, Manchester United and Chelsea have had their heads turned by his stunning form.

As well as the Premier League duo, scouts from Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also expected to be in attendance at the Estádio José Alvalade.

Sporting Lisbon are trying to renegotiate Gelson Martins’ contract to raise his buy-out clause from its current 60 million euros

Martins has made 14 appearances so far this season – and also appeared twice for Portugal in World Cup qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Latvia.

The 21-year-old’s fine form has seen him likened to Portugal and Real Madrid legend Luis Figo.

United are keen to bolster their ranks after a difficult start to life under Jose Mourinho.

Former Manchester United Striker Federico Macheda To Undergo Trial At Italian Serie B Club Bari

Featured Image

Federico Macheda is set to have a trial with Serie B side Bari, says Sportitalia.

The former Man Utd forward, 25, is currently a free agent having left Cardiff when his contract expired at the club last summer.

Macheda, 25, saw a switch to Serie A side Pescara fall through earlier this year and was recently on trial at Watford, where he scored a penalty in a run-out for the Under-23s.

The striker’s fall from grace has hit a new low after he was dumped by Cardiff in the summer.

The ex-Manchester United striker, 25, had his Bluebirds contract terminated having scored just six goals in two seasons for the Championship outfit.

It continues a downward spiral for the Italian since bursting onto the scene for United seven years ago.

Aged just 17, Macheda wrote himself into Red Devils folklore by scoring a stunner against Aston Villa in April 2009 on his debut off the bench.

The forward followed up that super strike with a goal in the next league match against Sunderland.

But Macheda struggled to live up to the hype — netting only three more times for United as he was shipped out on loans to Italy, Germany and the English lower leagues.

Michael Carrick The Solution To Manchester United’s Problems?

Featured Image

Michael Carrick, whose contract at Man Utd runs out next summer, has proved he deserves to be an automatic starter for the Red Devils for the rest of the season, according to Ray Wilkins.

Wilkins told SSN HQ: “Mourinho will be extremely upset. I think when you saw his press conference he said it felt like a defeat. I thought United played exceptionally well.

“I think the inclusion of Michael Carrick has to be a permanent for Jose because it allows Herrera – who is finally becoming a Manchester United player in the middle of the field – and Pogba to go and do their work in advanced areas.

“Carrick just gives them that little bit of serenity in the middle of the field when they need to control a game. His passing is fantastic.”

“Also, Phil Jones is starting to look a player once again after a long lay-off. That’s an absolute bonus for Jose.”

Mourinho rued his side’s bad luck after the game as United were consigned to a third straight league draw at home after frustrating outings against Burnley and Stoke.

Wilkins believes United’s fortunes will improve over the course of the season if they can play with the same level of intensity as they did on Saturday.

“Everybody has their good luck and everybody has their bad luck,” Wilkins said. “I wouldn’t say they have been the unluckiest team.

“What I did see on Saturday was an energy that I haven’t seen from them before. They put Arsenal under a huge amount of pressure and, for once, the Arsenal players couldn’t cope with that pressure.

“They were flustered in possession of the ball and they did not play the way I’m sure Arsene [Wenger] would have liked them to play.

“I was very impressed with Manchester United. I thought they looked a good side.

“I personally would have played [Wayne] Rooney through the middle from the start and had [Marcus] Rashford out on the left-hand side. [Anthony] Martial is not having such a good time at the moment.

“But nevertheless it was a good performance. I think before the game if you had offered Jose a point he probably would have taken it.”

Saido Berahino Admits His Career Has Been Struggling Recently

Featured Image

West Brom host Burnley on Monday night and out-of-favour striker Saido Berahino has described the past year as the “most difficult” of his career,

In September 2015, Berahino threatened never to play for West Brom again after then-chairman Jeremy Peace turned down two bids from Tottenham on the final day of the summer transfer window.

The Baggies also rejected offers from Crystal Palace and Stoke City, believed to be in the region of £20m, in July.

The some-time England international has revealed how intense transfer speculation has left him feeling depressed and struggling for focus.

“This last year has been the most difficult of my career and it has left me short of the form and fitness required for the Premier League,” he said.

“Constant speculation in the media doesn’t help and I have made this statement in the hope that it will respect my privacy and determination to get my career back on track.”

“I want to thank the club for its support throughout what has been a period of turmoil for me. It may not have always seemed as if I have appreciated the efforts of everyone here to help me but believe me I do.

“Albion has been my second home and the club that has brought me this far. It has never turned its back on me and when I need it most has been at my side.

“I want to thank my team-mates who have been willing me on and providing positive support. I want nothing more than to earn my place alongside them and get back on the pitch scoring again.

“I also need to speak directly to the Albion fans. I know many are angry with me and feel I have let down their club. I have to deal with that criticism.

“But I know from the messages of support I receive there are many who still believe in me I want them to know that I intend to do everything I can to repay that faith while also hopefully winning over those who doubt me.”

Arsenal And Manchester City Still Monitoring Juventus 16-year-old Wonderkid Moise Kean

Featured Image

Man City and Arsenal are both closely following Juventus forward Moise Kean, reports Corriere dello Sport.

The 16-year-old made his Serie A debut as a substitute for the Italian champions against Pescara on Saturday.

And now Juve are set to hand the youngster a three-year deal, his first professional contract, in order to keep him out of the Premier League duo’s clutches.

He has been likened to Mario Balotelli and on Saturday became the youngest ever Serie A player when coming off the bench in Juve’s 3-0 win over Pescara.

And bosses at Juventus Stadium are determined to keep him in Turin.

According to the report, Kean is highly thought of and Juve hope to do a deal with Raiola soon, having already worked with him when signing and then selling Paul Pogba.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side stretched their lead at the top of the Serie A table to seven points with the win, although Roma can close the gap against Atalanta.

The defending champions have won four in a row as they chase a sixth successive title.

Kean has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal for his performances at youth level.

Everton Join Race To Sign Torino Striker Andrea Belotti

Featured Image

Everton have been scouting Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports in the Italian press.

The Toffees ran their eye over the Italy international as he scored two late goals in his side’s 2-0 win at Crotone on Sunday.

However, it is believed the Serie A club want to extend the 22-year-old’s deal in Turin that currently runs until the summer of 2020.

Everton’s search for a striker to help out Romelu Lukaku is no secret, Belotti being the latest forward’s name to pop up in the transfer rumor mill.

Ronald Koeman needs to bolster his squad in January, ideally signing at least two forwards to lessen his star striker’s goal-scoring load. Liverpool are still favorites to win the Belotti sweepstakes, especially as Daniel Sturridge is reported to be on his way out of Anfield, possibly to AC Milan.

Jose Mourinho Explains Why He Left Rooney On The Bench Against Arsenal

Featured Image

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has revealed he left Wayne Rooney out of the starting team to face Arsenal because of his lack of pace compared to his other striking options.

The Manchester United boss fielded Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial against the Gunners, though Rooney came off the bench in the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

“I thought we were going to have the ball,” Mourinho told national newspapers. “Arsenal are a team who let the opponents play.

“I thought we would have space and the ball would arrive quite easily to the attacking players.

“I believed ones like Mata, Martial and Rashford were faster than Wayne, better attacking opponents one to one in the last line. I thought it was the best option.”

Napoli To Make Loan Bid For Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma

Featured Image

Napoli want to take Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma on loan in the January transfer window, says Sport Mediaset.

The France international is currently recovering from a long-term knee injury and the Serie A club hope to offer him valuable game time in the second half of the season as he looks to get back up to speed.

SportMediaset claims Napoli will offer to bring Zouma to Italy for six months as they seek cover for Kalidou Koulibaly.

The centre-back – ironically the subject of a big-money bid from Chelsea last summer – will miss the start of 2017 when he heads to the African Cup of Nations with Senegal.

And Napoli reckon Zouma would be perfect to fill in and potentially partner Koulibaly once he returns to the San Paolo.

Report : Gareth Southgate Interviewed For England Job

Featured Image

Gareth Southgate will be interviewed for the vacant England manager’s job at St George’s Park on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

The interview will be conducted by FA chief executive Martin Glenn, FA chairman Greg Clarke and FA technical director Dan Ashworth, as well as Graeme Le Saux and Howard Wilkinson.

Whilst all five men will be present at the interview, only Glenn, Clarke and Ashworth will make the final decision on any appointment.

Southgate’s four-match stint as interim manager came to an end last Tuesday, with Glenn admitting the 46-year-old was in a “strong position” to secure the role on a permanent basis.

However, Glenn did not rule out interviewing other candidates and it is  understood that Southgate will only consider accepting a contract that runs until the end of Euro 2020 and puts him on financial parity with both his predecessors and other external contenders.

Southgate, who was placed in interim control following the departure of Sam Allardyce in September, led England two wins and two draws during his four-match spell in charge.

Home wins over Malta and Scotland as well as a draw away in Slovenia has left England top of Group F in their quest to secure qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

England conceded two late goals in Southgate’s final match as interim boss to draw 2-2 in a friendly with Spain, with Real Madrid midfielder Isco scoring a 96th-minute equaliser.

Chelsea haven’t lost to Tottenham at the Stamford Bridge since 1990, their last visit to the Bridge cost them the EPL title, with Hazard equalising 2-2 late on to hand Leicester City the title.

“We have to think, game by game, and now we have Tottenham at home. It is going to be a massive three points for us and we have to rest now and then start getting ready for Saturday.

“Lots of people [say how big this game is], more than the players – it is the fans, [who tell me]. I know they always remind me that this London derby is special and hopefully we can get the three points on Saturday. The army chief restated that 60 per cent of the remnants of the terrorists were not Nigerians and appealed to the citizens to contribute to the efforts to flush them out of the country.

“It is very clear that the Boko Haram terrorists have been defeated.

“To continue to have any doubt in this regard or to continue to re-echo or insinuate that these terrorists have not been defeated is only a way of encouraging these terrorists,’’ Mr. Buratai said.

Between The Holy Spirit And Google – Motunrayo Famuyiwa-Alaka

In this days when everything has gone ‘E’, Google appears to be getting more attention than it deserves. When you have a question; all you need do is Google it! From soft furnishing, to house prospecting, to job searching, to relationship building, to office etiquette – answers abound!

Are you thinking about finding a mate, improving your relationship, getting married, getting pregnant, raising children, choosing the right school for your child or helping your ward out of a bad habit? It is Google to the rescue!

This piece was written by Motunrayo Famuyiwa-Alaka. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

Increasingly, Christians are searching the Internet for answers on having a buoyant prayer life, the fruit of the spirit, living a godly life and such like. Teachers of God’s word can even get a whole sermon booklet filled from Google searches. God forbid that we soon wake up in the morning and Google ‘what is God saying today?’

I discern that Christians (myself inclusive) are beginning to substitute the place of the Holy Spirit with the Internet. We are constantly falling into the trap of being ‘Google-led’.

So what? Is there something wrong with enriching one’s knowledge on issues through Google? Hardly so! What is dangerous though is depending on Google and other Internet sources on direction in the place of walking with God through the Holy Spirit.

Those who are led by the Spirit (not Google) are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Google and other search engines may have collections of facts but only the Bible offers the truth. Jesus Christ through the scriptures has directed that we depend on the Holy Spirit for teachings on Him – the way, the truth, the life . (John 16:13)

The Holy Spirit has the answer s on everything. Do you have a burden over career and work fulfilment? Ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you on the way to go. Are you dealing with a habit that is making a mess of your life? Pray that the Spirit of God will teach you on the grace to say ‘NO’ and the strength to keep the flesh under.

Quit asking for answers on a child acting waywardly in all the wrong places; the Holy Spirit has answers according to the will of God to help turn a stony heart into flesh. Is your marriage threatening to fall apart and your spouse unreachable? Be encouraged. When Jesus promised to send a helper that will teach you all things, He had that too in mind.

The next time you have a question in your heart, take some time out to ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the truth according to God’s will. You may still wish to check the Internet for facts on issues from time to time but the focus must be on your relationship with God the Holy Spirit.

If you turn to the Holy Spirit as quickly as you do Google and even more, you will get answers with the peace that comes from knowing you are in the will of God. That is definitely beyond the collection of possible answers the Internet may offer.

The Ebonyi Police Command has stated that it will begin to impound and prosecute drivers of vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses who have not obtained the newly approved permit.

This disclosure was made by its Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. George Okafor, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abakaliki on Monday.

Mr Okafor, further said that the new permit, which contains bio data of the car owner – including the photograph, fingerprints, name and date of birth, among others – carries extra security features, aimed to prevent hoodlums from using such vehicles for crimes.

His words: “The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on assumption of duty as the new IGP, left no one in doubt on his readiness to fight crime to a standstill, hence he came up with the idea of computerized tinted glass permit.

“The idea is to enable the police to have vital information about persons being issued with the tinted car permit which will assist in checking usage of such cars for crimes.

“Many suspects have been known to hide inside tinted glass cars to commit heinous crimes and this is what the police want to checkmate.“

“Both the online registration and issuance of the permit are done at our headquarters here and I want to use this opportunity to advise people who use tinted car glasses who have not obtained the new one to do so.

“We have created enough awareness on the issue and the police want the cooperation of the affected people in this regard since security business is everyone’s business.’’
