Ranieri Says, He Is Still Right Man For Leicester

Featured Image

Claudio Ranieri believes he is still the right man to still lead Leicester despite another loss in the league.

The 2-0 loss to fellow strugglers Swansea sent them to 17th and one point clear of relegation.

But Ranieri retains confidence in his own ability and thinks he is the right person to get the club out of their slump, insisting the players still back him.

“Yes, I think I am still the right man for the job,” Ranieri said at his post-match media conference.

“I always question myself but I always say, ‘Come on, we can do something good’.

“I think the strength of the man is to have the right balance. Not to be so high when you win; not to be so down when you lose.

“You can remember what we did last season but you need to stay with your feet on the ground and say we have to react together.

“I don’t think the players have lost belief. When I listen to them speaking, they want to react and do something better. That is important because I am confident when I listen to these words.

“But we have to find a solution soon.”

Ranieri: Leicester Need Luck

Featured Image

Claudio Ranieri has conceded that Leicester need a little luck after their latest 2-0 defeat to Swansea.

Their latest loss is their fifth straight loss, condemning them to 17th and one point above relegation.

Ranieri insists the team remains together and believes a little change of luck is soon to come.

“It is the same, it is unbelievable,” Ranieri told Sky Sports. “We started well against a good team, well organised but the first two shots on goal we conceded two goals. It is unbelievable this season.

“After this it was difficult to go back. We created chances in the second half but it was really difficult to score a goal.

“They defended very well and we tried in every way with individual solutions, to make a cross, to make everything but it was very difficult.

“When you concede a goal from the first shot and concede a goal from the second action, the players say, ‘How can we do it?’

“We stay together because we work very well during the training sessions but also we need a little luck to move our confidence.”

Verratti: Any Player Will Like To Play For Barcelona

Featured Image

Marco Verratti is really satisfied with life at Paris Saint-Germain, but says it’ll be hard to reject Barcelona.

PSG will face Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League, with the first leg on Tuesday.

Verratti believes they have a tough match against a team he considers the best in the world.

And the midfielder conceded that he would be lying if he tried to claim he saw no attraction in one day turning out for the Catalans.

“Even though I am currently in a good project and I feel at home, any player would play for Barcelona,” Verratti told AS.

“They are still the best team in the world. They have the three best players in attack, and [Andres] Iniesta too. Iniesta, [Lionel] Messi and Neymar create a move in a second.”

Conte Believes Top Six Still In Contention For Title

Featured Image

Antonio Conte says the 1-1 draw against Burnley does not mean the title chase is over, as he believes the race is still wide open.

Chelsea are 10 points clear at the top after the draw, but if City win against Burnley, it’ll reduce to eight.

And even though Manchester United are 12 points behind in sixth, Conte believes the top six could still win the title.

“There are 13 games before the end and if anybody thinks the league is finished I can tell you now it’s not,” Conte said.

“There are six teams who can win the league and anything can happen until the end. We must continue to work in this way, to try to win like we did today.

“I’m happy with my players’ commitment and their will to win, but it can happen that you only take a point and not three.

“We have to think only about ourselves, not to look at others. We want to do something important this season. You must play your game and then see the other results.

“Our mentality must be to always try to win. We did this today but sometimes you must understand there are tough games and this was very tough.”

Eddie Hearn: Bellew Can Ruin Haye’s AJ Plan

Featured Image

Eddie Hearn believes Tony Bellew can get himself a shot at a world title fight, if he gets a win against Haye.

The WBC cruiserweight champion has stepped up a division to face Haye and Hearn admits it’ll be hard to convince him to move down if he wins.

Another huge domestic clash with Joshua is the No 1 target for Haye, although Bellew could rip up these plans and put himself forward as a replacement opponent for the IBF heavyweight champion.

“There is a potential for a David Haye fight right now, so if someone beats him then you have to think that person comes into the mix as well,” Hearn told Sky Sports.

“If Tony Bellew beats David Haye, he becomes a huge name and it would be very difficult for him to return to the cruiserweight division, because of the fights available to him in the heavyweight division.

“He feels like if he beats Haye it’s going to open the doors for him in the heavyweight division as well.

“He’s in the final stages of his career. Not as in this is his last fight, but probably last five or six fights, so he’s looking at the biggest fights possible to bow out on. Obviously they would be in the heavyweight division rather than the cruiserweight division.”

Ranieri: We Don’t Score, But We Keep Conceding

Featured Image

Claudio Ranieri believes his side have two major problems, they fail to score, but keep conceding goals.

Leicester lost 2-0 to Swansea, sending them to 17th on the table and one point above relegation zone. They’re also the first defending champions not to have scored in six straight games.

And even though Ranieri has a vote of confidence from the Leicester City hierarchy, the pressure is mounting.

“We have two problems – we concede goals and we don’t score,” Ranieri said to Sky Sports.

“We have to speak together to find a solution, it is not possible to continue in this way.

“I wanted this game to be the start of a ‘new season’, but it is the same, it is unbelievable this season.

“We started well against a good team but their first two shots on goal are goals and it is very difficult to come back from that. We created chances in the second half but they defended very, very well.

“We wanted to make a good result against another team near the relegation zone. Our mind is on the Premier League. The FA Cup and Champions League is something different.

“We want to play well and be safe in the Premier League. Our main target is to be safe in the Premier League.”

Pochettino: I Still Follow PSG

Featured Image

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino may be in charge of an EPL club, but still follows his former club Paris Saint-Germain.

The 44-year-old manager played at Paris Saint-Germain for three seasons and made almost 100 appearances.

The former international defender is, however, prepared to admit that he still follows events at Parc des Princes closely and that he considers PSG to be his team.

Pochettino told SFR Sport: “I try to watch all I can. And of course, PSG.

“My team is PSG – I love PSG. I spent nearly three years there.

“I spent some time, six months, with Bordeaux too but I was captain at PSG and that will always be special for me.”

Pochettino has previously expressed a desire to return to France at some stage during his coaching career.

He told radio station RMC in April 2016: “I’ve always said that I would be pleased to join a great club like PSG.

“Come to Paris? I hope so. It is true that it would please me. It’s part of my dreams.”

Ibrahimovic: We Can Win Three Trophies

Featured Image

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes Manchester United have the better chance of claiming three trophies, while their other counterparts might win nothing.

United were fifth after winning 2-0 against Watford, but Liverpool’s victory dropped them back to sixth.

Ibrahimovic believes United are in better shape to claim trophies than the majority of their rivals.

“We just need to keep going,” Ibrahimovic told reporters after the win over Watford.

“We want to go through the Europa League and we have a good game at home against St Etienne.

“From five trophies this season, we have won one [the Community Shield] and we are still in four.

“I think from the four teams in front, only one will become champions.

“The rest will not get a trophy, but we have one and we can get our second one [the EFL Cup], and we are still in the Europa League and FA Cup, so if we don’t become champions in the Premier League, at least we can try and win two or three trophies.”

Conte Disappointed To Draw Against Burnley

Featured Image

Chelsea’s inability to secure a win against Burnley, instead getting a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor is disappointing to Antonio Conte.

Chelsea went ahead as early as the seventh minute, with Moses assisting Pedro’s goal. Brady equalised with a stunning freekick.

Chelsea really attacked, but couldn’t break the resilience Burnley put up and that did not sit well with Conte.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Chelsea boss Conte said: “We must be disappointed for this point because I think they stopped our game. We could have won, it’s a pity because we started really well and created chances to score goals and then Burnley found the draw with the free-kick.

“But now it’s important to re-start. It’s a draw, we take a point but we must be a bit disappointed.

“It’s a pity because we started very well, we kept the situation under control and also created many chances to score the goal in this time, maybe we can kill the game but it didn’t happen.

“Then [they scored] a free-kick, then second half it became a physical game with the long ball.

“We don’t know this type of game, the long ball is not easy to play here with Burnley. They took 29 points here now after this game, from 30 points in the table.

“At home for sure they’re a strong team, but I think we’re disappointed not to win.”

“For sure, we already know this [that Chelsea have to work hard],” he added.

“Now there are 13 games. We know the way is a long way to go, but it is important to continue to work in this way, to play this type of game, to fight.”

Pedro: Chelsea Still Have Strong Lead At The Top

Featured Image

Pedro believes Chelsea still have the edge over the other teams in the EPL, as they went ten points clear at the top.

Chelsea faced a tough time at Turf Moor, playing a 1-1 draw, with Pedro opening the scoring thanks to a Moses assist.

However, Manchester City could close that gap to eight if they win against Bournemouth, and Pedro understands the tough outing at Burnley is the nature of the EPL.

“We know we have a good advantage, but this league is very difficult,” He said at Turf Moor. “We want to lose as few as points as possible, step-by-step, and [try to] win the title. It will be difficult until the end, now Manchester City could be closer.

“But there are many great rivals like Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United. Now we have to think in the Cup, we have a lot of difficult opponents. We are more compact, and [that helps us to] stay at the top of the table. It is also reflected on the field.”

“I have more minutes and the team is playing better. I’m scoring when I have the chance and that’s good for me and for the team. I hope to keep doing like that. I feel good, confortable with my team-mates, with the team, physically.”

How Whistle-Blowers Recovered Another $151m, N8b Loot For Nigeria

Featured Image

The Federal Government of Nigeria has said it recovered another $151m and N8bn looted funds from three sources through whistle-blowers.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos, said actionable information given by whistle-blowers to the office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation led to the recovery of the looted fund.

PHOTOS: How EFCC Uncovered $9.8million From Residence Of Ex-NNPC GMD Andrew Yakubu

He said the looted funds do not include the $9.2m in cash allegedly owned by a former Group Managing Director of the NNPC, also a dividend of the whistle-blower policy.

He said, “The biggest amount of $136.7m was recovered from an account in a commercial bank, where the money was kept under an apparently fake
account name.

“This was followed by N7bn and $15m from another person and N1bn from yet another.”

The minister reiterated the position of government that there was a primitive and mindless looting of the national treasury under the last administration.

EFCC Recovers Billions In Cash In Home Of Ex-NNPC GMD

He said the whistle-blower policy has started yielding fruit, few months after its adoption by the government.

He said, “The whistle-blower policy is barely two months old and Nigerians have started feeling its impact, how a few people squirrelled away public funds.

“It is doubtful if any economy in the world will not feel the impact of such mind-boggling looting of the treasury as was experienced in Nigeria.

“Yet whatever has been recovered so far, including the $9.2m by the EFCC, is just a tip of the iceberg.”

The minister appealed to Nigerians with useful information on looted funds to continue to provide the authorities with such information, saying confidentiality will be maintained with regards to the source of the information.

He also reminded Nigerians of the financial reward aspect of the policy.

“If there is a voluntary return of stolen or concealed public funds or assets on the account of the information provided, the whistle blower may be entitled to anywhere between 2.5 per cent (Minimum) and 5.0 per cent (Maximum) of the total amount recovered.”

Pastors Are Jesus Killers – Femi Aribisala

Pastors Are Jesus Killers, By Femi Aribisala

CLICK here to read more opinion articles

Christians are told lies so repeatedly; many no longer recognise the truth. Answer me on this: did your pastor happen to mention that Jesus was killed by pastors?

This piece was written by Femi Aribisala. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

Not likely! Pastors don’t want people to know their fore-fathers killed Jesus; otherwise they would soon recognise they too are in the same business. Jesus says to the pastors of old: “You are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.” (Matthew 23:31). Even so, the pastors of today testify against themselves that they are the descendants of those who killed Jesus.

Testimony of Jesus

Let me tell you a story you must have heard before but have probably been led to misunderstand. Jesus told the story to some pastors and they were very angry with him because they recognised it was a veiled attack on them. They even wanted to kill him right there and then but held back because of the crowds. Perhaps you need to listen to the story one more time.

“There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.”

“Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.” (Matthew 21:33-40).

Let us get certain things straight about this true-to-life story. The landowner is God. The servants of the landowner are the prophets. The son is Jesus Christ. The vinedressers are the priests and the pastors.

What you may not have realised is that, precisely because Jesus told this story against pastors, they have gone to great lengths to distort it. They now insist it was not the vinedressers who killed the son of the landowner, but that the landowner himself killed his own son. They tell men God sacrificed Jesus for their sins, instead of the fact that pastors killed Jesus in order to continue in their own sins.

Mercy and Not Sacrifice

Jeremiah says: “Among my people are found wicked men; they lie in wait as one who sets snares; they set a trap; they catch men.” (Jeremiah 5:26). Who are these wicked men? Make no mistake about it; pastors are at the top of the list.

Hosea says: “The priests are like a gang of robbers who wait in ambush for a man. Even on the road to the holy place at Shechem they commit murder. And they do all this evil deliberately!” (Hosea 6:9). Today, there are even gangs of Catholic priests raping young boys.

Jesus said prophetically to the Pharisees: “If you had known what this means, I desire mercy and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.” (Matthew 12:7). What did he mean? He meant if they understood the love of God, they would not kill him, an innocent man, in order to protect their corrupt lifestyles. If pastors today knew the love of God, they would not continue to kill Jesus by misrepresenting him.

A man walked in on a gang of men robbing a bank. He switched on the light and declared: “Repent. I am the light of the world.” What do you think the robbers did to him? They had him killed, switched off the light and continued with their robbery. They then claimed it was God who killed him as a sacrifice for the sins of men. But God demonstrated unequivocally that he was not responsible for Jesus’ death by raising him from the dead.

Fleecing the Flock

Jesus says: “I am the good pastor.” (John 10:11). “All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers.” (John 10:8). Those who came after him are no different. Their primary focus is to fleece people of their money so as to build up their own kingdoms. Jeremiah says: “They are as greedy as dogs, never satisfied; they are stupid pastors who only look after their own interest, each trying to get as much as he can for himself from every possible source.” (Isaiah 56:11).

In many respects, what holds today is no different from the falsehood popularised in the days of Martin Luther, when priests maintained a man could purchase forgiveness of sins for a dead relative by giving money to the Catholic Church. The Dominican monk, Johann Tetzel, was one of those sent out by the pope to preach this message in order to raise money for the church.

His message was straightforward: give money and your sins will be forgiven. Like the pastors of today, he came up with a popular refrain: “As soon as a coin in the coffer rings, the soul from purgatory springs.”

Unrighteous Pastors

Jesus came to set the captives free by giving us true first-hand information about God. But after he did, pastors have endeavoured to distort even the true portrait he gave. They pretend to reveal God to men but have a vested interest in ensuring they don’t know him. How would they continue to rip people off if they were to know the truth of Jesus’ message that makes men free? (John 8:32). The result is that more falsehood about God is taught in the churches today than almost anywhere else.

So what does Jesus do about this? First, he tells us a parable that a man travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho was attacked by armed robbers and left for dead. A priest came along, saw the dying man but quickly walked away. A pastor also came along but he too ignored the dying man. Finally, a Good Samaritan came along. He bound up the wounds of the poor man, took him to the hospital and paid for all his medical expenses. When the man recovers, should he remain the disciple of priests and pastors? Certainly not!

Jesus is the Good Samaritan. One of his major assignments is to convince us that the presumed principal custodians of our faith; the chief priests, the Pharisees, the religious hierarchy; indeed the pastors, bishops and popes of our churches, are ungodly and unrighteous. Accordingly he says to them: “Assuredly, tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.” (Matthew 21:31).

Jesus’ life demonstrates this conclusively because these so-called “men of God” kill him, an innocent man, in order to protect their interests and positions. Jesus’ adversaries were not “sinners” but “holy” and religious pastors. Therefore, contrary to what it seems, many of those who claim to speak for God are not of God. Instead, they rob men of God. They rob them of his knowledge by presenting counterfeit portraits of God. They rob them so that they and not God would be the gods of their lives.

Arsene Wenger Rejects Arsenal Exit Claims

Featured Image

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refuted Ian Wright’s claims about his long-term future at the North London club after his side claimed a 2-0 victory over Hull at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, former Gunners striker Wright claimed that his former boss admitted his time at Arsenal was “coming to an end”, but the Frenchman insisted he had been misinterpreted.

“I don’t know what Ian Wright said,” Wenger said. “I could be tired because I get up early in the morning and I finish late at night, so I am tired, yes. But I didn’t give any indication about my future.”

“It was a question and answer with members of the Diamond Club. That’s in the evening so there were many people there. We had a little dinner before but it was not the two of us. There were four or five.

“I appreciate you want me to rest but I’m not ready for that.”

What did Ian Wright Actually Say?

Wright, who played under Wenger for two seasons between 1996 and 1998, reiterated during his analysis on Saturday’s Match of the Day that he believes Wenger will go.

“We were at a question and answer session and the way he was speaking and his demeanour… it’s my opinion. I could be wrong,” said the 53-year-old.

“I still think he has some massive decisions to make and think it could be his last season.”

Southampton Manager Claude Puel Delighted With New Signing Manolo Gabbiadini

Featured Image
Claude Puel has paid tribute to Manolo Gabbiadini, his £17m January signing from Napoli, who made it three goals from two Southamptonappearances with a double in their 4-0 win over Sunderland today.

“It’s a good adaptation,” said Puel of Gabbiadini, who has three goals after his first two games as a Saints player.

“I said this when he came in, he is a good, technical player. He gives quality to the team, because he doesn’t lose the ball. We can find him between the lines, with good control, good passing.

“He can keep the ball and, after, he can give good solutions – good runs behind the defenders, and he has the ability to make the difference and to score. This is important for us, because since the beginning of the season we have had many chances, without being clinical, and this is important.

“I am happy also for Shane to score. All of this gives confidence to all the players, not just Gabbiadini.”

“I’m Not Worth £42.5 Million” – Nikola Kalinic Explains Why He Rejected Tianjin Quanjian Offer

Featured Image

Former Blackburn striker Nikola Kalinic has claimed he turned down a move to the Chinese Super League because he doesn’t think he’s worth his release clause.

The Croatia forward was reportedly the subject of a £42.5m bid from Tianjin Quanjian.

He told Corriere della Sera in Italy: “It would have been a done deal if I had said yes, even if I’m not sure what the club would have said.

“[Tianjin manager Fabio] Cannavaro called me, but for me the issue closed and has never been reopened.

“I’m not really worth the €50m [£42.5m] release clause and I doubt anyone will spend that for me.”

‘I want to point out I didn’t know precisely how much the offer was but money isn’t everything in life.

‘I only just arrived in the football that really matters a year and a half ago and I didn’t want to leave now.’

Nikola Kalinic, 29, who struggled to make an impression in the Premier League at Ewood Park, has found more success in Florence, scoring 10 goals so far this season.

Jose Mourinho Doesn’t Expect David de Gea To Join His ‘Friends’ At Real Madrid

Featured Image

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho does not expect any underhand tactics from his “friends” at Real Madrid amid growing talk of a summer move for David de Gea.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez this week said “someone is messing around” when quizzed about the current speculation and Mourinho does not expect those at the club he managed for three years to resort to skulduggery.

“With Mr Perez and his right arm Jose Angel Sanchez, they are some of the people in football that I can say that I didn’t work for them and it is over,” the United boss, in charge at the Bernabeu from 2010-2013, said.

“I can say that we are friends forever, big friends. I like them a lot, they like me a lot. We are friends and friends speak – not every day because they have their life and I have my life.

“But friends speak, friends are open, friends don’t hide things, friends are honest.

“So if at the end of the season I want one of their players or they want one of my players, it is not through the press that we are going to change messages or are going to send noises.

“We will be very, very, very direct, so it is one of the clubs that I am not worried (about) at all because we are friends.

“And if something has to happen, it will happen between us and not with you, so it’s the kind of club I am really cool with.”

Asked if he was confident that De Gea, who says he is “very happy” and focused at United, would remain at Old Trafford, Mourinho said: “I have nothing to say, really, because, as I was saying, I am not going to speak about hypothetical things.

“The only thing that is real is that he is my player, I am happy with him.

“I know that he is happy with me and there is nothing else. Absolutely nothing else.”
