Things gets hotter as Frat Boys schools us on what “a real cypher looks like”

Featuring Eclipse, Blaq Bones, Holyfield, Vemor and Mr. Makn, the VS Class Alumni vibe off each other’s energy to create an incredible mash.

With DJ Factor on the ones and twos, Vemor attacks the beat first, exuding the same confidence that earned him a spot on the Hennessy VS Class of 2014. “All these rappers think they’re schooling me//but they don’t know I’ve been skipping classes” he spits. Vemor quickly throws in a hook then rounds up with a technology-inspired pun.

Current winner of VS Class, Holy Field lives up to his reputation of lyrical prowess as he takes over the mic delivering what might be some of the session’s best punchlines “funny stories you call me ‘Holy’ but in effect//it means I’m no saint”

Blaq Bones shortly takes over; throwing some jabs as he spits “Ask for TBoss/I got Bobrisky without make up//ask for a rapper they gave me Efe//back to the wrap, I hustle like Efe//but I can actually rap”.

Makn then dives into his own verse, bringing an aggressive delivery to the mic, reminding us of the reason he earned the bragging right of VS Class Season 2 “Class is back in session//Y’all just sit tight and watch greatness manifesting”

Finally, Eclipse adds an unexpected dose of drama to the cypher by delivering his eerie verse “I’m a problem kid//I cause trouble//that’s Lil Kesh and Sess combined//this year is real rapping//best yáll just pantomime//I took a lot of shots but I dodged ‘em all//yet, you’re welcome to the matrix”

Tottenham have announced the signing of Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain.

The right-back has signed a contract with the club until 2022.

On Wednesday, the right-back was told that the French courts had downgraded the criminal conviction he received for assaulting a police officer last year, allowing him to successfully submit a normal work permit application.

Serge Aurier said – This is a huge and exciting opportunity at a massive football club and I am determined to prove myself as a professional both on and off the pitch.

“This is a fresh start for me and I will do everything to make the Spurs fanbase, which is huge and diverse, proud of me. The fans are the most important people at any club and I am looking forward to showing them and everyone at Spurs the real Serge Aurier.”

#DeadlineDay : Liverpool Announce Signing Of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain From Arsenal For £40M

Featured Image

Liverpool have signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal in a deal worth up to £40 million.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, 24, had a year remaining on his contract at Arsenal but moves on as he seeks to secure regular football in his preferred midfield role.

The deal takes Liverpool’s spending in this transfer window to around £130 million, at least, although RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita will not join until next year and Dominic Solanke’s price is to be determined by tribunal.

In a statment on the Liverpool website, Oxlade-Chamberlain said he was “delighted” to have become the club’s fourth signing of the summer.

“I’m currently away with England, so I’m at St George’s Park,” Oxlade-Chamberlain said. “Firstly, I’m delighted to have signed for Liverpool and a big thank-you to everyone here at the FA that has made this possible, using the facilities. It has been a massive help.

“I’m not going to say too much today; I’m here with England and we’ve got two big games coming up, so I want to focus on them. But I can’t wait to get to Melwood and you’ll hear first from me on LFCTV.”

Manager Jürgen Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “I am really, really happy we have got Alex signed. Since the last game I have been waiting and hoping we could make this transfer – and when I got the news he was ours it was fantastic.

“I remember the first time I saw him play live – it was at Dortmund in 2014 and he came on as a sub that day and made a big impact. He stood out immediately because of his pace and skills and his attitude in such a big game for a young player; I remember him chasing back to make a brilliant challenge on Mkhitaryan in the box to save a certain goal.

“We won that game but lost the return match at Arsenal when he started and played well, I think he hit the post. Since then I have followed him and when I heard it may be possible to sign him I didn’t need to think twice.

“I hear a lot of talk about positions but let’s talk about the player; he is someone with really good abilities who always gives everything for his team. A player that is positive and willing to take risks to try and make positive things happen.

“He may still be young but he has a lot of experience in the Premier League, Champions League and for his country. Already he is a very, very good player and I think he has the mentality and desire to get even better – and that excites me.

“This is someone making a tough decision to leave one great club and come to another great club and I think he had many options, so to get him means I am delighted.

“He didn’t make an easy decision but I think he made a great one to go on this journey with this squad of talented boys and our great supporters.”

Strike Continues As Osinbajo Takes Over FG’s Negotiating Team With ASUU

Featured Image

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday appointed his Vice Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to lead the Federal Government’s team to negotiate with the striking lecturers of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to facilitate the resolution of some of the contentious issues.

The decision to hand over the negotiation team to Osinbajo was reached during the federal executive council meeting presided over by the president.

Strike Continues As ASUU Shuns Meeting With Nigerian Govt

Speaking with State House correspondents shortly after the meeting, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige expressed the government’s regret over the prolonged strike which he said had paralysed academic activities in the nation’s universities.

His words: “The government sympathises with the parents, even with the students who are supposed to be taking their degree exams and promotion exams now but have been forced by circumstances beyond their control to be at home.

“I have my child at home as we speak. So, government is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that we reach a conclusive agreement with ASUU so that they can go back to the classroom. This is the first national strike that this government is facing and we want to discuss.

“At Council today (yesterday), the vice president has taken over some aspects of the negotiation and discussion. So we are continuing the meeting in his office and when we finish, we will get back to ASUU with another round of meeting.

“We are hopeful that with another round of meeting, we will be able to go an appreciable extent to solve some of the outstanding issues.” Also, the minister blamed the private sector for the delay in constituting the committee to review the minimum wage.”

“On the national minimum wage committee, the government side is ready with four ministers – labour and employment, finance, budget and planning. I can’t remember the last one now but we have our team ready.

“We also have the head of service of the federation and the acting secretary to the government of the federation on the government team. The chairman will be unveiled when we have a full component of the committee. The aspect that is delaying from inaugurating the committee is the organised private sector.”

ASUU, an umbrella body of all university lecturers in the country, is currently on strike over the federal government’s failure to fulfil its 2009/2013 agreement with the union.

Kevin Mirallas has featured four times this season for Everton, but was left out of the matchday squad for last Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Chelsea with manager Ronald Koeman questioning his attitude.

Ronald Koeman said “I don’t know” when asked if Mirallas could leave before the window shuts but we understand that the Blues are open to offers for the Belgium international.

Mirallas’ old club Olympiakos has been in talks with Everton but they have now been ruled out of the race to sign him because the Blues do not want to loan him out.

The forward signed a new three year deal with Everton in May but has struggled to force his way into Koeman’s plans so far this season, having made just two starts.

Doctors under the auspices of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) will on Monday, September 4, 2017, begin an indefinite strike nationwide to press home their demands to the federal government.

The industrial action is due to the failure of the federal government to meet their demands which include payment of salary arrears, attending to stagnated promotion and halting the alleged diversion of funds meant for them by chief medical directors (CMDs).

Strike Continues As ASUU Shuns Meeting With Nigerian Govt

The lingering issues also include the demand for the enrolment of the medical personnel on the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System (IPPIS), remediation of shortfall in their salaries, defraying arrears of members in both in state and federal tertiary health facilities as well as implementation of the adjusted house officers’ entry level since 2014.

Ahead of the strike action, the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano (AKTH) branch of NARD on Wednesday staged a peaceful march to support the cause.

The association’s National President, Dr. John Onyebueze, said the exercise was shifted due to the coming Eid el Kabir celebration.

In a statement read by the branch president, Dr. Ahmad Rufai at a press conference in Kano, Onyebueze said the association was disturbed that neither the federal nor the state government showed commitment to the issues at stake.

The national president maintained that his members, despite their commitment and selfless services to humanity, would not beg to be paid.

#DeadlineDay: Crystal Palace Table Bid For Manchester City Defender Eliaquim Mangala

Featured Image

Crystal Palace have made a bid to sign Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala.

Despite reports elsewhere, it has NOT been rejected. However, they’re still hoping to sign Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool who remains their first choice.

City ideally need to get Mangala’s £140,000 a week salary off their wage bill before wrapping up a deal for Evans, who is also wanted by Arsenal and Leicester, a distant third in the running.

West Brom were hoping to sign Mangala on loan as Evans’ replacement but the France centre-half is reticent about moving to the Hawthorns.

Now Palace, who have lost their opening three Premier League games under Frank de Boer, are ready to rescue his career.

It is set to be a dramatic deadline day for struggling Palace who are determined to land a centre-back.

If they fail, they could even make yet another attempt to land Sakho, 27, who is understood to be keen to seal a move to Palace having played for the club on loan last season.

Leicester City have rejected a bid of £25m from Bournemouth for winger Demarai Gray

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is now weighing up a deadline day attempt to prise the 21-year-old away from the King Power Stadium but it would take a significantly increased offer. Howe saw an initial bid of £20m dismissed earlier in the window.

Leicester’s Thai owners are adamant that given his age and promise, combined with a contract that has three years to run, Gray is worth a considerable amount in the current market.

Demarai Gray wants more first-team football having started only 10 Premier League matches since joining from Birmingham in a £3.5m move in January 2016, but Leicester are ready to offer an improved deal as a sign of commitment.
