Valverde: Ter Stegen Is Fundamental To Barcelona

Featured Image

Barcelona head coach, Ernesto Valverde has praised goalkeeper, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, saying he is fundamental to the club.

The catalans had a routine victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Suarez, Messi and Aleix Vidal scoring in the 3-0 win.

Ter Stegen was relatively undisturbed, keeping out Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema, earning praise from Valverde.

“Marc is fundamental for us for the saves he makes and because he is the player who starts our moves,” Valverde said of the German.

“Sometimes we are a little nervous when we have the ball close to him but he’s always very calm. They always had a player nearby threatening to rob the ball but Marc reads the game well.”

The welding shop on the refinery construction site is not local content compliant.

I was allowed to gate crash into a party meant exclusively for CNN in the middle of May 2016.

It was a conducted tour of the site of the Dangote refinery, part of a quartet of industrial projects under construction on over 5,000 acres of reclaimed land, in the eastern flank of Lagos.

This piece was written by Toyin Akinosho. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

Our convoy drove on a recently piled sand filled road for over 90 minutes, stopping at points to take in the geography of what place had been earmarked for the petrochemical complex, the fertiliser plant, the receptor terminal of the gas pipeline from the Niger Delta fields; the jetty to which crude oil arrives the refinery and from which petroleum products leave it.

I should be grateful to my hosts, who filled in my name and my colleague’s at terribly short notice. The Dangote Industries management gave me as much access to market intelligence about the $12 billion project as they gave CNN. If there was any information that I missed, and the CNN gained, it was more to do with journalistic enterprise than opportunity.

I say this because, ordinarily, Dangote Industries doesn’t routinely respond to queries from local journalists. The big stories about the company’s projects are those that filter in from the multinational news organisations: Financial Times, Bloomberg and the likes of CNN.

As we were ushered into the welding shop on the fertiliser grounds that Saturday afternoon, I noticed that only two of the over 50 welders in that shop were Nigerians. This minority looked awkward to me and I could sense their anxiety.

One had an air about him that suggested he was probably a supervisor but lacking authority. The other stood in the far corner of the shop, his two hands loosely hanging by his sides. He couldn’t join the buzz of conversation around him because he evidently didn’t belong.

Every welder in that vast room, apart from these two, was clearly an expatriate from the Indian sub-continent. I had to take photographs.

“I thought that this was an operation to benefit the Nigerian workforce, among other things”, I said to Tony Chiejina, Dangote’s Public Affairs manager, who I have known for over 30 years. “How come that in the first place that we are encountering a large workforce on this tour, there are hardly any Nigerians?”

“The type of welding we’re doing here is rather far advanced”, Chiejina replied. “We had to look outwards”.

Chiejina’s response was clearly off the mark. The Nigerian hydrocarbon industry teems with skilled welding talent, at every stage of the welding hierarchy. I should know. I have reported, elsewhere in this medium, a quote by a facilities engineer who used to be my colleague at Chevron, the American oil major: “The guys who worked as welders on the Agbami (a $10 billion deepwater field development project), are riding Okada (motorcycle taxis) in Port Harcourt now”, he had said. “There are just not enough projects to keep people employed”.

In the midst of this absence of projects, a huge construction site like Dangote’s will have just about any homegrown welder it wants. And yet it has chosen to go abroad to source this mostly rudimentary skill set.

Unsatisfied with the response of the company’s official spokesperson, I took my query to his boss. Mansur Ahmed is the Dangote Group’s director in charge of stakeholder relations and corporate communications. When I asked him about the overwhelming number of Indian welders and the clear negligible number of their Nigerian counterparts, he admitted he had noticed. He didn’t attempt to bullshit. He merely shook his head to my query. I understood.

The Dangote Group has been accused of not involving Nigerian owned engineering service companies in the construction of its mammoth industrial complex. Such charges have been dismissed by company consultants who argue that the country lacks enough capacity in the requisite areas.

“Refinery construction is based on licensed patented technology”, said Jide Soyode, technical advisor to Aliko Dangote, founder and proprietor of the Dangote Group. He was re-affirming the statement already attributed to him elsewhere in the Nigerian business media. “So, how much of this technology exists in Nigeria? The last time such was done in Nigeria was 30 years ago and it was not done by any Nigerian company,” he told me, repeating what he said in Vanguard, a local newspaper.

In late October 2017, I ran into Simbi Wabote, executive secretary of the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the regulatory agency set up to monitor compliance of local content in the oil industry.

I knew that he and members of his board had been conducted on a tour of the Dangote Industrial complex, as recently as August 2017, so I asked him if he saw what I saw at the welding shop. He responded in the affirmative.

Wasn’t he distressed? I pressed.

“The complex is situated in a Free Trade Zone”, Wabote told me, so the NCDMB can’t act on that clear case of poor compliance with the National Content legislation. The NCDMB board discovered on the tour that Dangote Industries was ignorant of the availability of certain technologies that have been domiciled in the country. “We told them there were at least four coating plants”, Wabote said. “They didn’t know about that”.

Was Dangote feigning ignorance of some of the engineering capacity domiciled in-country?

Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), an umbrella group of Nigerian oil service engineering contractors, continuously campaigns against being shut out of the jobs in the Dangote industrial complex. “There are many components of a refinery”, Bank Anthony Okoroafor, PETAN chairman, has been quoted as saying. “There is a tank farm that would have several storage tanks; we have storage tanks for crude, and storage tanks for finished products. They would have pipelines. There are pipelines instrumentations, civil engineering works, metering, and all these components can be done by PETAN companies”.

I try to separate the claims and counter-claims between Mr. Soyode and PETAN regarding services available in country, from the symbolism of what I witnessed in the welding shop that afternoon in May 2016. The point is, whether or not you engage Nigerian service providers, it is not the most optimal thing to do, in a third world country of 180 million people with over 40 percent unemployment, to import welders from Asia for a job as basic as welding.

Dangote Industries has talked up its commitment to building a technically honed Nigerian workforce. It has made noises about sending Nigerian engineers to India for training in batches of 50. For these engineers, it says there will be classroom training for one month, and on the job training for one year, which involves working with real time experts in the industry everyday. In a presentation to the Nigerian vice president months before my visit, the company said it was engaging 7,500 people in direct and indirect jobs and will have 60,000 contractors and 10,000 service providers on site during the project stage of the refinery construction.

Given what I saw, I wonder what to believe.

NNPC: Landing Cost Of Petrol Is N171 Per Litre | FG Pays Subsidy Of N26 Per Litre

Featured Image

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has disclosed that the current Landing Cost of petrol is N171 per litre – meaning that at N145 per litre, the Federal Government is currently paying a subsidy of N26 on a litre of the commodity.

The Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mr. Maikanti Baru, said this on Sunday while speaking with reporters in Abuja on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

According to him, the normal consumption of PMS in Nigeria had risen to over 50 million litres per day, due to hoarding and diversion, mainly as a result of cross-border smuggling, due to the PMS price disparity that exists between Nigeria and its neighbours.

The Nation reports that while commenting on the Landing Cost of PMS, Baru said the Cost, Insurance and Freight price of PMS was $620 per metric tonne, adding that at N305 to a dollar, the landing cost translates to N171 per litre.

The GMD however said the Federal Government has given approval for preferential and speedy treatment to be given to vessels carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also called petrol, to end the lingering crisis in Nigeria.

He added that the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Customs and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA are currently expediting the clearance of fuel vessels and anchorage services to facilitate speedy product transfers to various depots including during weekends and public holidays.

The NNPC helmsman noted that President Muhammadu Buhari is deeply concerned about the fuel crisis and had ordered al stakeholders involved, including security agencies to ensure a speedy resolution of the situation.

In addition, he disclosed that the NNPC had commenced a 24-hour loading and sales operations at all depots and its mega stations across the country.

“Major marketers were also advised to carry out 24-hour operations, most of whom have been complying. This has increased load-out from the Depots significantly and continuous sales at the filling stations nationwide,” Baru noted.

Emmanuel Eboue Is Now Poor

Featured Image

Former Arsenal and Galatasaray defender, Emmanuel Eboue has suffered a dip in fortunes and apparently sleeps on the floor of a friend’s house, according to reports.

In a sad interview with The Mirror, the defender revealed he was pushed to the brink of suicide.

The former Ivory Coast international made millions in Europe, but has now lost it all.

The right back, who is currently unable to play football because of ill-health, lost all his assets to his wife Aurelie after a divorce battle.

He was ordered by a judge to transfer his home to Aurelie, so the former Arsenal defender has since hidden from bailiffs for three weeks.

“I can’t afford the money to continue to have any lawyer or barrister. I am in the house but I am scared. Because I don’t know what time the police will come.” Eboue told The Mirror.

“Sometimes I shut off the lights because I don’t want people to know that I am inside. I put everything behind the door.”

Eboue spoke about being naive and has warned other young African footballers to learn from the mistakes he made:

“I look back and say ’Emmanuel, you have been naive… why didn’t you think about that before?’ It is hard. Very, very hard. The money I earned, I sent it to my wife for our children.” Eboue said.

“In Turkey I earned eight million euros. I sent seven million back home. Whatever she tells me to sign, I sign.

“She is my wife. The problems with FIFA were because of people advising me. People who are supposed to care. But it was because of them FIFA banned me.”

This year has been very great for me and I am thankful to God and all my fans. I have been very busy and it has been a roller-coaster for me. I don’t take it for granted, and I will always put my best into all that I do. It is about showcasing Nigeria to the world in the proper light, and I am glad that there is now more focus on African music. There are indeed a lot of talents out here.”

Meanwhile, the singer spoke about the reason behind his visit to his hood in Surulere earlier this year. He said;

“I am a Surulere boy through and through. That is my identity and I’m proud of where I come from. I went back to the hood to see my people and to spread some love. I have spent the most part of this year travelling, so when I had the opportunity to mingle with my people, I took it.”

Capello: Ibrahimovic Could Not Shoot

Featured Image

Fabio Capello says Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a player that could not shoot when he arrived at Juventus.

The Swede arrived at Juventus from Ajax in 2004, as a striker with a growing reputation, but in need of smoothening.

Capello has taken credit for that and believes he played a key role in Ibrahimovic’s rise to the top.

“When Ibrahimovic arrived at Juventus, he was not good at shooting,” Capello told Sky Italia.

“Mino Raiola said to me: ‘Zlatan is really strong, he breaks the hands of the goalkeepers’.

“I said to him: ‘Listen to me, for the moment he only broke the windows of the gym’.

“Then Ibrahimovic began to train every day and, obviously, as everyone knows, he improved a lot.”

He added: “I targeted Ibrahimovic when I was Roma coach.

“Juventus made an incredible purchase, they bought him for €16 million payable in four payments. At Ajax they decided he would not be a great player. They preferred to keep Mido, who was easier to manage.

“Ibrahimovic also had some problems at Juve, for example with [Jonathan] Zebina, but then [Luciano] Moggi arrived and settled everything.”

Finally, Buhari Speaks On Ongoing Fuel Scarcity

Featured Image

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday sympathised with Nigerians on the lingering fuel scarcity currently being experienced in the country.

#FuelScarcity: DPR Shuts 52 Filling Stations As Fuel Price Hits N400 In Abuja

The president, who is expressing his sympathy three weeks after filling stations started grappling with shortages, said he has directed relevant regulators to step up “surveillance and bring an end to hoarding and price inflation by marketers.”

“The fuel scarcity being experienced nationwide is regrettable. I sympathize with all Nigerians on having to endure needless fuel queues.

“I’m being regularly briefed, especially on the NNPC’s interventions to ensure that there is enough petrol available during this period & beyond,” the president said on Twitter.

“I have the NNPC’s assurance that the situation will improve significantly over the next few days, as new shipments and supplies are distributed across the country.

“I have also directed the regulators to step up their surveillance and bring an end to hoarding and price inflation by marketers,

“Let me also assure that the relevant agencies will continue to provide updates on the situation. I thank you all for your patience and understanding,” he said.

The president has been criticised by opposition party politicians for failing to address the crisis on time.

Last week, an opposition governor, Ayodele Fayose, had asked Buhari to resign as the minister of petroleum, accusing the Nigerian government of deliberately reducing supply in order to jack up the price of the product.

“The thinking is that by the time the scarcity persists for like one month, with Nigerians already buying at N200 per litre, the people will jump at it if petrol price is increased from N145 to N185 per litre,” Fayose said in a statement last week.

Slaven Bilic Considering Options For Next Managerial Job

Featured Image

Former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has told Goals on Sunday that he is considering options for his next job.

Last month, Slaven Bilic was sacked as boss of West Ham United, but with Swansea City, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday all without a manager, the Croatian has been linked with the vacant roles at those respective clubs.

“Many people are calling from here or abroad. A lot of people are calling and I am weighing up the options,” he said.

Asked if he wanted to stay in the Premier League, he said: “I like it here, I was here as a player and a manager and I don’t feel a strange here and there is no language barrier. This is the place to be, but it doesn’t have to be, so it depends more on the club or the project. If a good project and good club comes from another country then I would probably do that.”

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Criticises Fans Calling For Carlos Carvalhal To Be Sacked

Featured Image

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri says fans who have chanted for boss Carlos Carvalhal to be sacked have “crossed the line”.

The Owls, who have made the Sky Bet Championship play-offs in the last two seasons, are having a disappointing time of it this term and Saturday’s defeat to Middlesbrough made it seven games without a win.

“I do not feel good when I see some fans talk very bad about Carlos,” said Chansiri in a statement.

“In his first season, he was treated with full respect and many people were scared I would sack him, or scared he would leave, they asked me to please let him stay, please keep him, he is the best we have ever had.

“But today some people want to drive him out of our club, they cross the line with some abusive things they say. Now he is a very bad coach all of a sudden – maybe some people have short memories.”

Southampton Striker Charlie Austin Charged With Violent Conduct

Featured Image

The Football Association has charged Southampton striker Charlie Austin with violent conduct after an incident in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Charlie Austin caught Huddersfield goalkeeper,Jonas Lossl on the nose, leaving him bloodied and needing over four minutes of medical attention.

Head coach Mauricio Pellegrino defended his player over the incident, but Huddersfield counterpart David Wagner claimed that the 28-year-old should have been given a red card.

The German, 46, said: “It was a very ugly, nasty challenge, this should never happen.

“There was so much distance from the goalkeeper and the ball, Jonas was so early on the ball.

“This should never happen. Unfortunately Charlie Austin made the wrong decision at the moment, and this happened.

“I have seen the video footage.

“The opponent hurts an opponent on purpose, even if I don’t like to say that, but it looks like it.”

The FA has decided that Austin’s kick was deliberate, resulting in a charge of violent conduct which could lead to a three-match suspension.

Southampton and Austin have the option to appeal, but the frontman also sustained a hamstring injury during Saturday’s fixture and is likely to be absent until 2018.

Should a three-game ban be enforced, Austin will miss fixtures with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

Gattuso: I Am The Least Of Milan’s Problems

Featured Image

Gennaro Gattuso has dismissed talk of him resigning from his post at AC Milan, insisting he is the least of the club’s problems.

Gattuso took over from Montella, but has only won one fixture of his four games in charge.

Milan’s recent loss was a 2-0 loss to Atalanta, which cannot overshadow the 3-0 loss to struggling Verona last weekend.

Speaking to Mediaset Premium, Gattuso insisted walking away after less than a month in charge was not the solution.

“Many things didn’t work, though at the start we had the right approach. Once we went behind, it turned into an uphill struggle,” he said.

“It’s a complicated situation, the fans are protesting and we can’t think of continuing the season like this. But I don’t see people holding back or not trying to give their best. I see people who give their all, but evidently we are fragile.

“Today I am the Milan coach, but I am the least of our problems. It’s not just about fitness levels, but here is also the psychological component. When what we are doing is not enough, we must become a team and to do that we need to make fewer mistakes.

“If I thought that I was the problem, then I would resign immediately. If I thought the players weren’t behind me, I’d resign. But that’s not it.”

“We lack determination, hunger and grit,” he said. “I also think we should stop making comparisons with the past. There were different players and a different club.

“We have to focus on the present, a present full of difficulties which we must all find a way out of together.

“When I say we are not a team, I mean it and I can see it. When we run into difficult moments, we cannot react. It’s simply a fact. It’s not the fault of individual players.”

Zinedine Zidane Accepts Criticism For Not Starting Isco In El Clasico Defeat

Featured Image

Zinedine Zidane has insisted that he will happily accept criticism for his decision to leave out Isco for the 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Isco was the surprise omission from Los Blancos’ starting lineup to face their El Clasico rivals and did not even feature from the bench.

Zidane instead used the more defensive Mateo Kovacic from the off in an attempt to limit Lionel Messi’s influence, which worked in the first half but had less effect in the second as Barca netted three times to run away with it.

Isco Tells Spanish Media To Stop Spreading Sh*T After El Clasico Defeat

Speaking to beIN SPORTS after the match, the under-fire Frenchman said: “I have to make decisions. The idea was to keep an eye on Messi, and Mateo did well. We made a decision and that’s it.

“I’m making decisions as a coach. The decision was Kovacic on the pitch and Isco on the bench at the start. Then, because of how the match went, I was not able to use Isco.

“I had to use Nacho because of the red card [for Dani Carvajal] and had two changes left with one player less. That changes the game. I’m the coach and it’s always going to be like that while I’m here.

“I will not regret anything. If you score in the first half the match is different. I know I will take the criticism, but that’s football, and it will not change how I think. I make these decisions and I accept what happens.”

How Alexis Sanchez Changed His Mind On Signing New Arsenal Contract

Featured Image

Alexis Sanchez verbally agreed to extend his contract at the club 12 months ago, only to change his mind in the second half of last season.

Alexis Sanchez appears certain to leave the Emirates Stadium in the next two transfer windows, either as a free agent in the summer or for a reasonable price in January.

Sanchez has made clear that he does not intend to commit to a new deal although, according to The Times, that was not the case last December as he shook hands on fresh terms with Gunners chiefs.

Arsenal’s humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 is understood to have been the biggest factor behind the Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain target changing his mind, and he made it clear at the end of 2016-17 that he wanted to leave.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is not contemplating any form of hike in the pump price of petroleum products.

Mr. Mustapha disclosed this on Saturday at the handing over ceremony of the mantle of leadership as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Inland Waterways Authority ( NIWA) at the authority’s headquarters in Lokoja.

He said the fuel scarcity being experienced in the country over the last two weeks was being addressed by relevant agencies of government adding that the long queues would ease off soon.

The SGF  attributed the scarcity to “greed” on the part of the marketers who created artificial shortfall to make profits.

Mr. Mustapha lamented the attitude of some Nigerians who derive pleasure from seeing others suffer by inflicting pains on the people adding that it was unfair and ungodly for marketers to take advantage of the rush by the people to celebrate Christmas and New year.

“I can assure the people that a day or two after the yuletide, the queue will ease out. The marketers created the scarcity but we have engaged all the relevant stakeholders and we are confident that it will soon normalise.

“We are not thinking about increase in the pump price. We have not discussed it and we will not increase the price” he said, adding that panic buying was unwarranted as there was much product available.

He commended the staff of NIWA for their cooperation and commitment to duty while he headed the authority saying that he would remain an ambassador of the authority and was now in a better position to advance its cause.

He noted that his 15 months at the helm of affairs of the organisation afforded him great opportunity to add value to his life adding that it was NIWA that propped him up for the present assignment.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that  Mustapha, who  assumed office as MD of NIWA on July 11, 2016, reiterated the need to  strengthen the law setting up the authority to enable it succeed in its statutory role of administering the inland waterways.

In his response, the acting Managing Director of the authority, Danladi Ibrahim assured the “Boss of Bosses” that every project he started before leaving would be pursued and executed with vigour.

“NIWA is your baby sir, it is our prayers that you nurse the baby to maturity. We will continue to consult you anytime the need arises sir, please don’t be tired of us”, he said.

White House Denies Report Trump Said Haitian Immigrants ‘All Have AIDS’ | Nigerians Live In ‘Huts’

Featured Image

The White House has reacted with a denial to a report that President Donald Trump suggested Haitian immigrants “all have AIDS” and that Nigerian immigrants would “never go back to their huts”.

According to the New York Times, Mr Trump was said to have made the comments during a meeting with senior staff about levels of immigration in June, at which he complained too many were receiving US visas.

He was said to have grumbled that 15,000 Haitians who entered the United States in the preceding months “all have AIDS” and that the 40,000 Nigerian visitors would never “go back to their huts” in Africa.

Trump was also said to have complained about 2,500 people who had traveled to the US from Afghanistan, which he said was a terrorist haven, according to a New York Times report citing two officials who had either attended or were briefed on the meeting.

However, the White House denied the report that Mr Trump used the words “AIDS” or “huts” in reference to immigrants, calling the suggestions “lies based on anonymous sources”.

Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, said John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, and Rex Tillerson, the US Secretary of State, were all in the meeting and denied Mr Trump used the reported words.

She said: “General Kelly, General McMaster, Secretary Tillerson, and all other senior staff actually in the meeting deny these outrageous claims.

“And it’s both sad and telling the New York Times would print the lies of their anonymous ‘sources’ anyway”.

The New York Times said its report was the product of more than three dozen interviews.

The explosive and disparaging remarks about immigrants attributed to the president were sourced to a pair of unnamed officials, one who the news outlet said were present in the meeting, and another who was briefed about the comments by a second attendee.

But the Times says several other participants told them they “did not recall” the President using those words.

The $1bn Song, Remix And Sad Lyrics – Umar Sa’ad Hassan

After Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state announced that the governors of the 36 states had resolved to donate $1bn out of the excess crude account to the Buhari administration for it to fight the boko haram insurgency, either 1 of 2 things was bound to happen.Either Buhari and his loyalists blame Jonathan and the PDP for making the war very expensive instead of telling us how the funds were going to be spent or they will try to justify what is practically unjustifiable. They chose the latter.

But selling it was none easier than finding a Nokia 3310.Particularly noteworthy was the lack of vigour that accompanied the defence by core Buharists. The lies are starting to get embarrassing. Public opinion was a one-way traffic with the overwhelming summation that the Buhari administration is no different from the one before it.
Vice-President Yomi Osinbajo understood the damage done and moved to mitigate it by telling us the funds were not meant for the war on Boko Haram alone but also for ‘security issues’ in all the states. That hasn’t seem to have done much good.Rather what it has only proven is that even the government is starting to find its own lies ridiculous.

Fayose Heads To Court, Wants Ekiti Share Of $1Billion For Fight Against ‘Hunger Haram’

One thing is obvious however-every narrative from who should know including Osinbajo’s, places Boko Haram at the forefront.

The same boko haram Buhari promised to squash within 2 months if voted President and the very same boko haram he has come out to say is defeated. The Boko Haram sect currently has no captured territories or camps and that technically implies the bulk of the work would revolve round sourcing intelligence. The government certainly doesn’t intend to install CCTV cameras everywhere in the North East so even a quarter of a billion dollars is too much for that.Osinbajo’s damage control could come much cleaner.

Not that he could do much anyways, because no matter the form,it would still appear a knee jerk reaction to the most plausible explanation offered by Gov Fayose and the PDP that the money is intended to be used as campaign funds for 2019.

Boko Haram: Nigeria’s VP Offers Clarification On “Controversial” $1Billion Fund

The government will not yield to the many calls for a break down of how the money would be utilized because it is not being honest with us. A government that prides itself on ear-marking record-breaking sums for capital expenditure but still can’t boast half what the government we ‘changed’ could at this stage. One that still won’t let us know why President Buhari said there was no Abacha loot when the Swiss government is about to send us the latest instalment of $321M.

Interestingly, the $1bn donation provided an insight into why President Buhari is not serious about looking into why some states still owed 6-month salaries despite the Paris club refunds. He turned a blind eye when the Bauchi State governor went as far as saying he wasn’t obligated to pay wages owed civil servants with the funds.Perhaps PMB recognized they were going to be quite useful. When I compare the Buhari we thought we knew to the Buhari we now actually know, I can’t help labelling him the biggest scam ever pulled.

Excess Crude Account: Nigerian Governors Approve $1 Billion To Fight Boko Haram

If it smells like a fish, then its a fish. There is something not right about the $1bn song and even the remix hasn’t fixed it.
