30th AU Summit: Buhari Departs Nigeria For Addis Ababa

Featured Image

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, January 26, departed Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate at the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

It is understood that the President left the Presidential Villa in Abuja via the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for Addis Ababa few hours after observing the weekly Friday Juma’at prayer.

Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, had on January 25, in a statement, disclosed that the highlight of the President’s engagements during the visit would be his statements under the historic theme for the AU Summit, namely: “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation.”

“This is the first time in the 54-year history of the AU that anti-corruption will be made a theme of the gathering of the regional leaders,’’ the statement said.

On July 4, 2017, African leaders unanimously endorsed President Buhari to champion the fight against corruption on the continent. The endorsement, which took place during the 29th Session of the AU, was in recognition of his personal commitment and acclaimed anti-graft drive at the domestic level.

On July 25, 2017, the President, in a letter to President Alpha Conde of Guinea, who is also the out-going AU Chairperson, formally accepted his nomination to lead members of the AU on this crucial crusade against a veritable socio-economic vice that is anti-development.

While thanking his colleagues for the honour, Buhari reiterated his “commitment to contribute towards our collective efforts to strengthen good governance and development on the continent.’’

Motorists Plying Lekki Toll Gate, Ikoyi Link Bridge Will Pay More From February 1

Featured Image

Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) has announced that it will increase the toll tariffs being charged at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza on Lekki-Epe Expressway and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Plaza with effect from Thursday, February 1.

It said that the toll fare increase is as a result of current economic and business realities that have adversely increased the cost of operations and maintenance of the company’s loan obligations.

The LCC also said in a statement that the upward review followed “extensive consultations held with stakeholders in the Eti-Osa/Lekki-Epe Expressway of Lagos State.

Consequently, it announced a review in toll tariffs at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Plaza with effect from Thursday, February 1, 2018.

In a press statement made available on Thursday, the Managing Director, LCC, Mr. Mohammed Hassan, noted that the feedback and recommendations received during the series of consultations held in December 2017 with stakeholders in Eti-Osa Local Government area and its environs considerably influenced the new toll fares to be paid by motorists plying the Expressway and the Link Bridge.

The statement read: “Following extensive consultations held with stakeholders in the Eti-Osa/Lekki-Epe Expressway of Lagos state, the Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC), has announced a review in toll tariffs at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Plaza with effect from Thursday, February 1, 2018.”

“The toll fare increase is as a result of current economic and business realities that have adversely increased the cost of operations and maintenance of the company’s loan obligations.

“Since the commencement of tolling in December 2011, the toll tariffs had remained the same despite the continuous increase in the cost of operations to ensure that the toll plazas and the road infrastructure are well maintained.

“The toll review has also become necessary to enable the company meet its loan obligations to its local and foreign lenders, considering the fact that foreign exchange rates have continued to increase astronomically in the last couple of years. LCC cannot continue to operate or provide the services required from us if we do not review the toll tariffs”.

In the release, the LCC said “many of the consulted stakeholders, including traditional rulers and community leaders, residents’ associations and youth groups, Eti-Osa Local Government officials, members of the media as well as members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Eti-Osa Local Government Area agreed that there was a need for constant upgrade of road facilities, as the Eti-Osa/Lekki-Epe corridor was rapidly becoming an international economic hub for investors.”

Although details of the new rate were not disclosed in the statement, the firm said N100 would be paid by any driver of a mini commuter bus using the Lekki-Epe toll plaza, which is an increase of N20 over the N80 currently being charged.

From ‘Sai Baba’ To ‘Slay’ Baba: Can Buhari Get His Groove Back?

From ‘Sai Baba’ To ‘Slay’ Baba: Can Buhari Get His Groove Back? By Tayo Ogunbiyi

CLICK here to read more opinion articles

Prior to his 2015 electoral victory, President Muhammadu Buhari had contested for the presidency thrice (2003, 2007 and 2011) and lost on all three occasions. But by 2015 when he made the fourth attempt that eventually enthroned him as the nation’s latest horse rider (apology to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo aka ‘Ebora Owu’), his popularity had soared to an all time high. The chant across the country was simply: ‘Sai Baba’. Except, perhaps, for the Late Chief MKO Abiola in the annulled 1993 presidential election, no presidential candidate in the country’s political history had garnered so much extensive approval.

This piece was written by Tayo Ogunbiyi. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

A couple of factors were responsible for the change in Buhari’s political fortune. First, his predecessor, the Lucky One, had squandered all the goodwill that offered him the presidency. Second, Nigerians saw in Buhari a man of spotless integrity who could be entrusted with the nation’s treasury. Third, Nigerians believed he could decisively tackle the nation’s mounting security problem. Fourth, the coalition of political parties that formed the APC gave Buhari a better platform than he previously had. Fifth, Nigerians were simply fed up with then ruling political party and were willing to give Buhari a chance.

So, Buhari rode on the back of all these aforementioned dynamics to become, perhaps, the most widely elected President in the nation’s political annals. But then, in a funny twist of events, the once famous Buhari, who can never do any wrong, has suddenly become a villain. Suddenly, the man Nigerians love to hail with the chant of ‘Sai Baba’ is literarily being slain on a daily basis, curiously by his erstwhile fanatical promoters.

Just recently, fiery Lagos Pastor and a top notch Buhari’s advocate, Tunde Bakare, held a State of the Nation parley at the headquarters of his church in Lagos. The verdict? Buhari has failed the country. In quick sequence came Buhari battering from across the country. Various organisations and individuals that were once avowed Buhari’s backers have suddenly become his strong critics. Indeed, a famous priest who once predicted Buhari ascendancy to the presidency recently warned him not to take Nigerians for granted.

At the home front, the President isn’t equally finding things easy as the First Lady was once alleged to have said that she wouldn’t campaign for the President’s re-election except he puts his political house in order. The latest in the catalogue of anti Buhari sentiment, currently pervading the country, came from no other source than the self acclaimed ‘Conscience of the Nation’, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Now, the question is: How did the President fritter away the goodwill he so much enjoyed at such a critical moment as this? Why is Nigerians’ patience suddenly running out with the president? Well, like every such intricate socio-political issue, the answer to the questions is multifaceted. For one, the president is perceived by many to be too slow in his handling of salient national matters. It took him about six months to put in place a cabinet while appointing members into the various boards of national parastatals took him much more. This is just to mention a few instances.

Also, the President has been broadly accused of engaging in unconcealed nepotism. It has been alleged that the sacred cows in his government are his kinsmen who are largely untouchable. The President has also been accused of favoring those from his part of the country in terms of appointments. In this case, appointments into top national security posts have particularly been alleged to be lopsided.

Additionally, the President’s handling of the tricky killer herdsmen’s question hasn’t been too convincing. While speaking on this particular subject, Pastor Tunde Bakare accused the President of gross bias. He cited the example of how the military were swiftly deployed to fish out Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB gang. He wondered why same speed was not employed in the case of the Benue genocide where hapless people were gruesomely murdered. All over the country, herdsmen are becoming a nuisance and great security threats, but there seems not to be an all out onslaught against them. The insinuation in many quarters, therefore, is that the President is not willing to tackle the knotty issue because ‘his’ people are involved.

Now, in-spite of recent decline in the President’s approval rating, if he wishes he could still warm himself back into the hearts of his disgruntled compatriots, especially the masses who so much believed in him. For one, the President needs to become swifter in his handling of urgent national matters. His recent assertion that he needs to take his time in taking certain decisions doesn’t really suffice. A man whose house is on fire does not have the luxury of time. Swift decisions and actions must be taken on critical national matters to move the country forward. What we need at this critical time in the country is strong leadership. Shrinking from taking the right decisions and actions at the appropriate won’t do the country much good.

Also, the President must be wary of sycophants whose stock in trade is lies and deception. They are hypocrites with self-seeking agenda. They did same with Abacha. For the right price, they can wine and dine with the devil himself. Therefore, the President needs to be discerning with the kind of stuffs such people feed him with. He needs to pay more attention to what his critics are saying. In most cases, critics are better than sycophants.

Equally, the President needs to be more visible. Nigerians want to see and hear their President. It has often been said that President is a man of little words. No! This shouldn’t be the case. He is the leader of a nation of over 170 million people and they are eager to see and hear him. He needs to allay their fears. He needs to say things that would encourage and inspire them. He needs to sometimes move out of the Aso Rock to relate with the ordinary Nigerians. The Vice-President did this quite well while the President was away on medical treatment. He needs to engage the people on several burning national issues. There are several platforms through which this can be done.

Finally, the President must allay the fears of Nigerians on the allegation of bigotry being leveled against him. He must see the entire country as his constituency. After all, his mandate is a pan Nigerian one. Thus, he must not be seen to favour one section of the country at the expense of the other. In the words of former Senate President, late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo: ‘If you are emotionally attached to your tribe, religion, or political leaning to the point that the truth and justice become secondary considerations, your education is useless. Your exposure is useless. If you cannot reason beyond petty sentiments, you are a liability to mankind’.

For the President, the clock is ticking and time is running out. History would not be kind to him if he squanders the unique goodwill upon which he rode to the presidency. We have had enough tales of failure. He cannot afford to fail!

2019 Elections: 30 Political Parties To Field One Candidate

Featured Image

Thirty registered political parties have resolved to come together to produce and support one presidential candidate within the coalition for the 2019 general elections.

The parties, under the aegis of ‎Coalition for a New Nigeria (CNN), have Alhaji Abdulkadir Salam of the Labour Party (LP) as Chairman, Barrister Godson Okoye of the United Democratic Party (UDP) as Secretary and Dr. Yunusa Tanko of the National Conscience Party (NCP) as Spokesman.

This comes after the now famous letter written by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, asking President Muhammadu Buhari to forget a second term on grounds of non-performance.

Speaking to reporters in Abuja yesterday, the coalition’s spokesman, Dr. Tanko, a former National Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), said the 30 parties were consulting widely to seize power from APC in 2019. ‎Adding that their aim was to strengthen the nations economy and put an end to “bad governance” that had led to poverty, insecurity and nepotism in the country.

The coalition said the APC-led government had failed to ‎take decisive action over rampant killings in the country and accused the Buhari-led government of allowing the nation to gradually slide into a state of anarchy.

“We are determined to take over power in 2019, and we are 30 political parties ‎working together. We are concerned about the state of the nation.”

“We are going to bring all the 30 political parties together on the 30th to show you how ready and prepared we are. We are working together to support a candidate within the coalition,” Dr. Tanko said.

Nigeria Approves 3 New Police Area Commands For Oyo

Featured Image

The Nigerian Government on Thursday approved three new area commands for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Oyo State to complement the existing ones and boost security network.

The approval was announced by Mr Abiodun Odude, the State Commissioner of Police, during a courtesy call on State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, yesterday in Ibadan, the state capital.

It is understood that the new area commands are located in Eruwa, Iganna and Saki areas of the state.

Odude said that the new commands in Saki would be headed by ACP. Abubakar Baba, Eruwa by ACP. Sola Oketunji, ACP. Dayo Ariyo would be in charge of Iganna Command.

Odude commended the governor for his administration’s continuous support for the state police command, saying that such had assisted the police in maintaining peace, law and order.

He also thanked the governor and other stakeholders for their combined efforts and cooperation in making policing less cumbersome across the state.

“Oyo State is one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria today and this is not achieved overnight.

“I can easily say it was achieved through continuous support given by the present administration in the state under your able leadership.

“The administration is sparing no expense in providing logistics supports and all other things needed to get the job done and today we are the best for it.

“The people are happy for the reign of peace, which has culminated into good business environment for investors,” he said.

Responding, the governor lauded the Federal Government for acceding to the state’s clarion call for the establishment of more police commands in the state.

Ajimobi said that there was a pending request for the establishment of three additional commands, calling on the federal government to grant it soon.

He commended the gallantry of the officers and men of the state police command in ridding the state of criminalities, stressing that his administration was committed to the sustenance of peace and security.

“Paucity of fund accounted for the inability of our government to assist the police and other security formations more than we are doing now in our drive for a near zero crime rate in the state.

“We should be more grateful to the police authority in Oyo State, because through them, we were able to transform the state from the notorious era of violence to a very peaceful state today,” he said.

“We keep our players.

“We have added Mkhitaryan and lost Sanchez.

“Will anything else happen? At the moment, I don’t know.

“It is far from close.

“It is possible we will recruit someone else but I won’t give you a name.”

Potential Lawsuit? “I Wasn’t Paid Royalties For My Work On Juice…” Producer Adey Says

Featured Image

Nigerian Producer, Adey was a guest on The M.A.T.S Podcast and during the show, he revealed that Tinny Entertainment did not pay any royalties for his production work on Ycee‘s hit track, Juice and he is already exploring the possibilities of a lawsuit against the label.

The Producer who also produced Olamide‘s Wavy Level last year added that he got more money from Olamide than he got from Tinny Entertainment for “Juice” which was a much bigger song than “Wavy Level“.

Speaking on the Podcast, Adey said:

“I haven’t gotten any (money). I made more money from ‘Wavy level’ than I have made from ‘Juice’. The problem with Nigeria is that if you show your soft side too much, people always take you for a ‘d**khead’. That’s the truth about it. That’s why everyone is so guarded and so angry around here. You make one small step towards trusting someone, and they turn around and dump it on you.”

“For me, the type of person I am, I will keep it moving. Regardless of ‘Juice’ or not, my life will still go on. What me I’m personally about is actually doing the right thing. I get upset when people who are close to you take measures to make sure they don’t do the right thing.”

Speaking on taking the case to court, Adey said;

“It’s happening…they should be aware that it is coming. Both parties believe that they are right, but what is actually right is the black and white on the paper. I don’t want to dwell on it too much, but the fact of it is that it is a disservice to me.”

PDP To Commence E-Registration Of Members Nationwide

Featured Image

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has announced that the party will soon commence electronic registration of members nationwide.

Secondus unveiled the party’s plan at a time when the chairman of the reconciliation committee, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, met with aggrieved members of the party, This Day reports

Speaking on Thursday, January 25, Dickson urged the aggrieved members to stay in the party and help to rebuild and reposition it for electoral victory.

Secondus, also at a meeting with the Forum of Ministers yesterday in Abuja, assured them that the leadership keeps an open door policy.

He further told them that the party would soon kick start the electronic registration of members nationwide as part of its reform strategy.

“The best way to go is organising transparent elections. He said the new NWC will not go the old ways but will have to abide by the constitution of the party. We will also devolve powers to the local level, away from the usual powerful people from Abuja,” he said.

Secondus said the NWC was also putting all the necessary strategies together and that by 2019, the PDP would be returned back to power by Nigerians since the APC’s has failed abysmally.

Saraki Complains That National Assembly Needs More Money

Featured Image

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has lamented that contrary to public perception that the National Assembly is being overfunded, that in reality, it is grappling with funding constraints in carrying out its statutory functions.

This was made in a statement issued by his special assistant on print media, Chuks Okocha.

Okocha quoted him as saying this when he paid a visit to the chairman and members of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) at its temporary office located in Utako, Abuja, on Thursday.

Responding to the request of Adamu Fika, chairman of the commission, to have a permanent office of the commission inside the national assembly complex, Saraki pledged the support of the leadership towards the project.

He, however, noted that adequate funding remained the major challenge facing the national assembly.

“One of the things that I see here is the issue of budgetary constraints,” he said.

“However, the impression around the country is often that the national assembly has too much money. But we have seen the challenges of the last few years.

“As we work through the number of bills passed, the public hearings held, and the number of ad hoc committees that have been established — we know the challenges of not being able to fund some of our activities.

“So far, I am happy to report that despite these constraints, the 8th senate has been able to surpass all previous senates in the number of bills that we have passed in two years — despite the funding gaps.

“We know that as we continue over time, people will begin to have more confidence in the national assembly.

“However, right now, the challenges that we have are the issue of perception, and the issue of funding. We need to work hard to change this.”

Senate Issues NNPC 7-Day Ultimatum To End Fuel Scarcity In Nigeria

Featured Image

The Senate on Thursday called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to end the lingering scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) and long queues in filling stations across the country within seven days.

This order was followed by a unanimous adoption of the report of the Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) on the fuel crisis in the country at plenary.

The resolution followed the adoption of a report by the Senate and House of Representatives’ Joint Committee on Petroleum Resources following a closed-door meeting between the committee and the NNPC leadership on Wednesday.

In the report presented by its Chairman, Sen. Kabiru Marafa, the committee recommended that NNPC should be given seven days ultimatum to end long queues in fuel stations in the country.

It also recommended that the Department for Petroleum Resources should double efforts to enforce compliance with government’s regulated pump price of petroleum products.

“During our recess, the committee moved around some cities, including Abuja and Lagos, to ascertain the situation on ground.

“When we thought that we were making progress, we just realised that the queues were resurfacing in fuel stations.

“We also engaged with the NNPC and other stakeholders and we were informed that there were challenges of supply coupled with massive smuggling of petroleum products to neighbouring countries for higher prices.

“Also, there is the problem of marketers selling above approved pump price,’’ the report stated.

Reacting to this, President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, asked the NNPC to ensure compliance with the resolution and endeavour to end the queues within seven days.

“The Fight With Davido Was My Biggest Battle Ever” — Dele Momodu

Featured Image

The Ovation Magazine boss, Dele Momodu who is an Uncle to Davido’s first baby mama, Sophie Momodu has said the fight with Davido 3 years ago was the greatest ever battle he’s had to face in life.

Recall, the fight started when the Issue of Imade’s custody, sprang up between both Adeleke and Momodu families. Notable of the events surrounding the fight was when an attempt by Davido and his family to smuggle Imade abroad without her mother’s consent was foiled by the ovation boss, Dele Momodu.

However, Davido made the fight lyrical by throwing jabs at Dele Momodu at every opportunity to get involved in a song. The popular line by Davido “Dele na my boy, Dele na my boy” on the song “Bad Baddo Baddest” by Falz with Olamide was believed to be an attempt to ridicule Dele Momodu. The issue was later resolved in an outdoor meeting between the Momodu’s and the Adeleke’s.

While, addressing housemates at the ongoing Celebrity Housemates reality TV Show, Dele Momodu disclosed that his fight with Davido has to be the biggest battle he has ever fought in life. He stated that the fight was way bigger than the one he had with the Late Military President, Sanni Abacha.

In his words;

“Fighting with David was my biggest battle ever. It was bigger than fighting Abacha because of the blistering popularity of David; he is an extremely popular guy and it was very unfortunate, (the devil is a liar) because a baby was involved; very beautiful girl, Imade.”

“When it happened, I tried my best to avoid a collision with the family because I am very close to the family especially because of Senator Ademola Adeleke. We used to sleep in the same house when I was in exile in London. Whenever Sen. Ademola was around, he would call me and then pick me up to his house and I’ll sleep there and when I need to go back to my own house he would drop me.”

“So when the baby issue came, I didn’t know about it, if Sophie (Davido’s first Babymama) didn’t tell me she was pregnant, I wouldn’t have known, she was able to hide it perfectly from everyone.” he said.

7 Governors, 20 Senators, 100 Reps’ Members Back Obasanjo’s Coalition For Nigeria | Launch On Jan. 31

As former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, mobilises politicians and other Nigerians to sign on to his Coalition for Nigeria project – a movement that is aimed to oust President Muhammadu Buhari from office – there are strong indications that about seven governors, 20 senators and over 100 House of Representatives members have agreed in principle with Baba to go into this coalition.

“At the last count, seven governors, 20 senators and over 100 House of Representatives members have agreed in principle with Baba to go into this coalition,” a close associate of the former president told Premium Times.

It is understood that Mr. Obasanjo held meetings with former Nigerian leaders, serving governors, lawmakers and other key leaders across the country before arriving at the decision.

This is even as the movement, which is currently being coordinated by a former governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, is due to launch on January 31.

“Mr. Oyinlola is now acting as the national spokesman; such roles would be appointed at all levels, including state, senatorial zones, down to ward level,” said another source.

Mr. Obasanjo advocated the establishment of the movement at a time he said that the two major politial parties in Nigeria – the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – are unfit to provide leadership.

Obasanjo had on Tuesday issued a scathing public statement on the Buhari administration, advising the president to take a “deserved rest” and urging Nigerians to vote him out should Mr. Buhari insist on running.

On Wednesday, the Nigerian government replied him, outlining many achievements of the government.

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode on Commerce, Deji Tinubu, is reported to have slumped and died.

According to reports doing the rounds on the internet, Deji, who was the former Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, died late on Thursday during a novelty match in the Epe area of Lagos State.

He was said to be playing football with other members of the State Executive Council after the end of the second day of the ongoing Retreat for Permanent Secretaries, directors and executives members late Thursday in Epe when he slumped and died.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday signed an agreement with top Swedish football coach, Thomas Dennerby, to take the role of Head Coach of eight-time African champions, Super Falcons.

Dennerby was appointed as head coach on a two-year deal subject to renewal.

The contract also enables Dennerby to come into the job with an assistant, Mr. Jorgen Petersson, another highly experienced Swedish coach nominated by Dennerby himself.

Dennerby coached the Swedish women’s national team for seven years and led them to a third-place finish at the 2011 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Germany.

He has been saddled with the responsibility of taking the African champions to another level, where they can compete for honours at the Fifa Women’s World Cup and the Olympics.

“The NFF decided to go for a coach of the calibre of Thomas Dennerby for three reasons,” NFF Second Vice President Shehu Dikko told the federation’s official website.

“To sustain and enhance the Super Falcons’ dominance on the African scene; to take the Falcons and the other women teams to the next level of challenging for laurels at global competitions like the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup.

“And to generally lay the foundation for the real development of women’s football in our country.”

“Dennerby will live in Nigeria most of the time and support the other women teams whenever he has the time. The contract is until the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in the initial, with the right for automatic renewal subject to meeting performance milestones as agreed. He will be in Nigeria very soon for the public unveiling.”

“The NFF Technical and Development Committee has already shortlisted three Nigerians to work with Messrs Dennerby and Petersson as assistant coaches and goalkeeper trainer. These three will resume work soon to start preparing the team for the upcoming WAFU Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire pending the resumption of Dennerby and Petersson.”

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho Signs Contract Extension Till 2020

Featured Image

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has signed a contract extension in a move that sees him commit his future to the Old Trafford club until at least 2020, with an option for a further year.

The 54-year-old’s previous deal at Old Trafford was due to expire in 2019.

Mourinho said he was “delighted” that United “feel and trust that I am the right manager for this great club for the foreseeable future”.

His words: “I am really honoured and proud to be Manchester United manager. I would like to say a big thank you to the owners and to Mr Woodward for the recognition of my hard work and dedication. I am delighted they feel and trust that I am the right manager for this great club for the foreseeable future.

“We have set very high standards – winning three trophies in one season – but those are the standards I expect my teams to aim for. We are creating the conditions for a brilliant and successful future for Manchester United.

“My thanks, of course, go to my staff and to my players; without their empathy and friendship this wouldn’t be possible. I love my players and it is a pleasure to know that we are going to be together for at least the next three years.

“And I cannot finish without thanking the fans for their support and for making me feel at home so quickly. I repeat, to be Manchester United manager is an honour every day and I am really happy.”

On his part, Ed Woodward praised Mourinho for his “exceptional work rate and professionalism”, as well as for “embracing the club’s desire to promote top-quality young players”.

He said: “Jose has already achieved a great deal as Manchester United manager and I am delighted that he has agreed to extend his commitment until at least 2020. His work rate and professionalism are exceptional and he has embraced the club’s desire to promote top quality young players to the first team. He has brought an energy and a sense of purpose to everything that he does and I am sure that will continue to bring results for the fans and the club.”

If Mourinho does stay at United until 2020, it will be his longest single spell in charge of a team.

The former Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss spent three years at Stamford Bridge between 2004 and 2007, returning for a second two-year period between 2013 and 2015.

He also managed Madrid over three years, between 2010 and 2013.

Other than Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby, who spent nearly 27 and 24 years in charge respectively, United’s longest serving post-war manager is Ron Atkinson, who was manager for five years and five months before making way for Ferguson in October 1986.

As expected, the three of us went together when we got to where Matthew was, I explained that I wanted a duet/collaboration with Pasuma and the first thing he said was “what’s the colour of my underwear” ‘I felt offended but still kept my cool and cautioned him that I was a married woman and I don’t take such talks for fun. He said my marriage is bull shit and my ring is fake.

He laughed and mocked me in the midst of all the men and said ‘PASUMA” will never sleep with someone like me more than once that I should take my private part elsewhere. He laughed again still making jest of me and said it’s a must either I like it or not he’ll get a particular “kazeem” to sleep with me by all means and he will give me 400k.

Alhaja S. Gold also cautioned him and he insulted the woman as well. He told me to watch my back that Kazeem is coming for me. I was scared, please tell him to provide the so called KAZZEM and he must assure me of my safety in 7 days or we meet in COURT! I Respect “alhaji Pasuma” a lot as a father that’s why I’m a bit patient now because he’s not aware of what MATTHEW did. I’ve contacted my Lawyer because I fear for my LIFE AND WOMANHOOD!!
