FG Pleads As Saudi Arabia Places 15 Nigerians On Death Row

In an attempt to beg for leniency for its citizens, the Federal Government said it would continue to engage Saudi Arabian authorities in negotiations over the fate of Nigerians on death row for alleged drug trafficking in that country.

This disclosure was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja on Friday, February 2, 2018.

The minister made this known on the back of report that there were no fewer than 25 Nigerian drug suspects held in several prisons in Saudi Arabia.

The report indicated that 15 of the suspects were on death row, while three had been executed, leading to a call on Federal Government to intervene.

Onyeama, however, said necessary steps were being taken by Federal Government to engage Saudi Arabian authorities on the matter.

He explained that “regarding Nigerians on death row abroad, we have made very strong intercession over the issue with government of those countries to review the cases and not to execute them.

“However, you know that there is a limit because these are sovereign countries which have their rules and laws.

“But as far as the Saudi Arabia is concerned, we have been intervening at government level with authorities of that country.”

Mourinho: Pogba Was Not Punished With Substitute Role

Featured Image

Jose Mourinho has said his decision to play McTominay in place of Pogba was a tactical decision, and not due to his performance against Tottenham.

Pogba was not at his best in United’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham and was brought on in the 65th minute.

United needed time and could only break through Huddersfield’s defence in the second half.

“I change a few players and the intention was not to punish anyone,” Mourinho told reporters afterwards.
“To punish anyone I also need someone to punish me because we are a team and, when we win we win together, we lose together.

“But I made a few changes thinking about the characteristics of this game and I think this kid [McTominay] has a great desire to recover the ball when the team is not in possession, he’s a kid that chases the ball, that tries to recover high up the pitch and when he has the ball it is always simple and against opponents like Huddersfield, so close and with so many bodies behind the ball, the simplicity sometimes is genius.
“You don’t have space, you have to open spaces by playing simple, so was a decision to play the kid but Paul came on very, very well with a great attitude with the spaces that we had at that time because we were winning 1-0 and Paul could show his talents and his qualities.
“I always try to do what is best for the team in any moment. I prefer to look at it in the beautiful way of a little kid that arrived here with his mum at nine-years-old for the first training session, 10 or 11 years later the kid is playing in a Manchester United shirt in an important match in the Premier League at home at Old Trafford, so I prefer to look at that perspective.

“Paul is a fantastic player, no doubt for me one of the most talented midfield players in the world but to sit on the bench one day is not the end of the world.”

Guardiola: City Is Almost Perfect

Featured Image

Pep Guardiola has hailed the display of City in the 1-1 draw against Burnley, despite missing chances.

City took the lead via a thumping strike from Danilo, however they failed to make good of subsequent chances.

Burnley equalised in the final third and Guardiola can only see a perfect side.

“We played so good,” Guardiola told Sky Sports.

“We missed the last moment to try to score the second one and after, of course playing in the Premier League, especially away in the last 10 minutes with 1-0, anything can happen.

“But we played, in general, an outstanding performance. I’m so happy for the performance.

“We played good. I think to come here and play the way we played, maybe you don’t realise, but the way we played was almost perfect.

“The way we played today, in the build-up, the patience, defending the long balls, second balls, just… we just missed chances to score more goals.”

Mourinho Lauds Huddersfield’s Defence

Featured Image

Jose Mourinho has lauded the compact defence of Huddersfield, in United’s 2-0 win.

Manchester United dominated proceedings in the first half, but could not break Wagner’s men.

Lukaku opened the scoring in the second half, before Sanchez scored from the rebound of his penalty save.

Even though United ultimately won comfortably, Mourinho paid tribute to Huddersfield’s organisation.
“We always had control of the game, but at half-time it was 0-0,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.
“I guess we had around 85 per cent possession in the first half, but it was not enough.
“We kept doing the same in the second and even at 1-0 we were totally in control. Our defensive line was far from the danger areas.

“We had to be patient, but had to keep the intensity high and the pressure. We had to break down the Berlin Wall organised so well by David Wagner.”

Nigerian Student Kidnapped, Killed In Cyprus: Here’s All We Know About Dede’s Death (Video)

Featured Image

While we all celebrated the dawn of February 2018, a certain 28-year-old Nigerian in Cyprus could not make it as he was reportedly killed on Wednesday night, January 31, by eight locals in the Turkish Cyprus’s province of Famagusta.

Reports reaching us from local media outlets in Cyprus indicate that the deceased, Kennedy Toomwabwa Dede, was abducted and killed by some men in the country.

According to police investigation, Dede, who was a student of Eastern Mediterranean University, was assaulted by a group of eight locals, who kidnapped him on Tuesday, took him to the Çanakkale Pond, where he was seriously beaten and killed on Wednesday.

It was gathered that an autopsy conducted at the Famagusta State Hospital confirmed that he died of a cerebral haemorrhage caused by severe blows to the head.

Turkish Cypriot police found his body near the pond outside of the city and detected that he was killed after he was beaten up.

The autopsy report also confirmed that he received several blows to various parts of his body, suffered from severe lung injuries and eventually died after his head was crushed with stone.

Kıbrıs Postası, a Turkish Cypriot-based daily newspaper, reported that three suspects were captured later in the day on February 1, and arraigned in court. The suspects include men and women whose ages range between 16 and 28.

During court sitting, the presiding Judge Gökan Asafoğluları gave an order for the accused, Zekeriya Kurucu, 22, Ozan Korkurt, 18, and Burcu Çelik, 16, to be held in police custody while an investigation is carried out.

Later, it was reported that the police successfully apprehended four other suspects, Nidai Sanli, Onur Kurkurt, Simge Dagdur, and Aydan Sel in connection with the death of the Nigerian man.

Dede’s death is one in many cases of deaths that have come to African migrants in the European countries mostly facilitated by racism.

Meanwhile, a number of university students have staged a protest after news of Taomwabwa’s killing emerged, demanding justice.

Also, the Eastern Mediterranean University administration issued a statement expressing its sorrow over Dede’s death.

In the wake of the killing of Dede, the President of the Nigerian Student Society in Eastern Mediterranean University, who spoke exclusively to iLiteTV, expressed his anger over the incident

“We are black don’t mean we are stupid,” he vented.

If Not For Stardom, My Plan Was To Have A Wife, Two Children – Sir Shina Peters

Featured Image

Afro-Juju music legend, Sir Shina Peter has revealed that fame and fortune were the major factors that hindered his marital plans.

The veteran singer who has children from different women disclosed that his original plan was to have one wife and two children before celebrity spotlight turned everything around for him.

During an Interview with Saturday Beats, Sir Shina Peters said;

“When I think about the fact that I am happily married, it is like a miracle because before now, whenever I finished a show, I would have about 250 women waiting for me. The question people should ask me is that out of all the women that swarmed around me, how did I choose a wife? I would say I was destined to be with my wife. It is not by our making; it was just destiny.

“If not because of my profession, my plan was to have only one wife and two children. But the temptation that comes with this business is too much. I always look at things from the spiritual aspect; do you know how many handkerchiefs women have used to rub my face?

“Do you know how many strange eyebrow pencils they have drawn and used to wink at me? Do you know how many boobs they have shown me while performing? All these things matter. But I thank God for my life. The only thing that I have never indulged in is smoking, regardless the substance. Now I am the head of choir, Cherubim and Seraphim (Church); I am closer to God more than ever,” he said.

The singer spoke about the hard times in his marriage. He pointed out that the most difficult period of his marriage was when his wife was diagnosed with cancer. According to him, the time when his wife was battling with cancer was the most emotional time of his life and survived it with strong faith in God.

He said;

“When my wife took ill, it was like the end of the world for me, but God showed his might. That is one aspect of my life that makes me very emotional. The incident made me see the world like it truly is. It made me realise that all these material things are nothing. At a point, my wife asked me to call the lawyers because she wanted to prepare her will but I told her that she was not going anywhere.

“When it was time for me to pay, the doctors that were taking care of her abroad told me that I was wasting my money; they told me that my wife was more or less a waste. I had to shout at them to take my card and withdraw the money from my account before they could listen to me. That night, I knew that she was going to survive the illness; that was faith.

“I believed that my God would not let everything that I had worked for in my life end like that. I learnt a lot about faith during the time my wife was ill because I had to be strong. When everything seems like it is not working, be prepared because God is coming up with something positive. During that period, I could not play for about four months until I saw that my wife was getting better.

“I had to go back to work because I needed to pay the bills. How much do I have? If the likes of Chief M.K.O. Abiola and Ibrahim Babangidas’ wives could die all these people that could afford to buy another life for their wives – if it was possible (for their wives to die), then who am I? It was just the grace of God and the faith that I had.

“The doctors told me that the whole procedure would take about 10 years, but I told them that they were not God. I replied them that at most, she would spend only three years and to God be the glory, she left the hospital three years later. Now she only goes for medical checkup.”

Takeaways From Paddy Adenuga’s Trojan Gambit for Chevron Netherlands

Takeaways From Paddy Adenuga’s Trojan Gambit for Chevron Netherlands, By ‘Tope Fasua

CLICK here to read more opinion articles

I met Paddy Adenuga around the year 2000. It wasn’t long after I joined Equitorial Trust Bank as a business manager and head of marketing at the Ikeja Branch, and he had come for internship. He was still a teenager then. Incredibly handsome, he was also very respectful to all and sundry. We sort of hit it off; became pals of sort. And then he was off. I would meet him by chance somewhere in Abuja several years later, and I believe he still remembered me. We exchanged pleasantries and moved on. Since then, I’ve only seen him in newspapers. The stakes have changed and the interning student is now a big boy. Today Paddy is about 34 years old and has come to his own. He recently wrote a scintillating story about his bid for Chevron Netherlands in his own rights, as a way of making his own name in business. This story has been read by thousands of youth and I just think I should share some takeaways therefrom.

This piece was written by Tope Fasua. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

The story is about how Paddy wanted to buy into an international oil company with expertise, which he could then use as a ‘Trojan Horse’ on which to leverage for bigger oil and gas production and exploration contracts in Africa – namely in Equatorial Guinea, Angola, and of course Nigeria. The idea is that such companies have much better expertise, and there is a bias or tendency in Africa to take them more serious. The story chronicles how Paddy strategised, put a team together, networked, and schemed towards the acquisition of Chevron Netherlands, a company which produces 1,000 barrels of crude oil, and 8,000 barrels of gas per day. It is the story of how far a young man – who was 29 at the time of this bid in 2013 – was willing to go to achieve his aim; a story of passion, daring, friendship, betrayals, mentorship, distrust and, of course, money. Loads of it!

Paddy Adenuga: How Son Of Globacom Boss Nearly Acquired Chevron Netherlands At 29

Here are my takeaways:

First, Paddy is a damn good writer. He’s one of those people who write from their minds. His writeup was racy, highly-readable, some would say unputdownable. He has a perfect control of the language and his vocabulary is fantastic, reflecting years of solid education in the most expensive institutions around the world. Now, this is very important for a guy like that. Very few people with his monied background bother to write anything. Nigeria is a land of secrets, yet writers are very important in shaping progressive societies. In the development of the United States, for example, as far back of the 1700s, writers shaped the opinion of society. The Federalist Papers, which justified the need for a Federation, are a bunch of 85 articles written in a space of two years by the trio of Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison. Reading them is like reading any normal weekly article today.

Second, Paddy did great in trying to step away from his father’s shadow. His dad is very reclusive. Different strategies for different ages, perhaps. Meanwhile Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr. also has one of the best masteries of the English language I know, having interacted very briefly with him up close. His vocabulary is out of this world and he deploys it to full effect. Many may not know this about the man, whose sharp edge of the tongue anyone would do good to avoid. He also takes delight in stunning people with his kindness.

Third, Paddy’s story shows that everything starts with a dream. Whereas he has more space to dream as he doesn’t have problems with hunger and desperate survival, still the story tells of how anything that has become real and big starts with the thoughts in one’s head. A guy sits down and asks himself ‘why cant I do this or that?’, gets up and puts it into action. That is what life is about. Many people think big stuff daily but don’t put anything into action. Paddy’s Trojan horse strategy was classic. Not everyone will be able to attend Texas Military Academy, where he learnt ancient Greek history, but the Internet has made everything available today. In the blogs where his story has been shared, many young Nigerians are commenting, some almost falling over themselves with hope. The trick is that the most important step is to START. Things needn’t be perfect from the beginning, but only starters could ever win.

Fourth, resources are good when you have them. Paddy already had an office in Lagos, and a townhouse in London. He also had one-on-one access to top dogs in the industry, like Vance Querio (then Addax COO), Edgar the banker, Richard Kent of Jeffries the Investment Bankers, with speciality in the oil sector, and loaded mentors. He also has endless access and visas or a foreign passport to go anywhere he wishes. He was ready to deal in large amounts ranging between $50 million and $100 million, plus bank borrowing much larger than that. Ha! This is where our drooling youth of Nigeria must be careful. Very very few people at 29, even at 59, could have access to the volumes of money the guy was ready to transact in. I would advise that rather than jump into debts just to prove that you are a big dreamer, weigh your risks first. Build a foundation. Paddy is aware that if it all went bust – and it did – he has a rich family to run back to. If you don’t have such, be careful. I am saying this to a few Nigerian boys whom I know have borrowed to the hilt and are only waiting for disaster to strike. Many heavy borrowers and big spenders have been known to become paupers.. As for Paddy, these are great leverages he has, even though many children don’t know what to do with theirs. He tried to put his resources to good use. Kudos to him

Fifth, I also detected a few signs of naivety in Paddy’s gambit. Sounds great doesn’t it? Paddy’s gambit. He overestimated the myth that the barriers and costs of doing business in Europe were much lower than in Africa. False. As he later discovered, EPN, the NNPC of The Netherlands, was bidding for the same asset he was bidding for, and surprisingly, EPN was more interested in the 1,000 barrels of crude oil that Chevron produced (which was deemed to be a weak asset), than the gas which had more prospects. This raises red flags. What does EPN know that Paddy didn’t? There was also a hidden bidder – which eventually won. So not everything was transparent. Then there is the choice of his company name – The Catalan Corporation. He may be a supporter of Barcelona FC, where Lionel Messi plays – though he didn’t mention it – he only liked the name he said, but in the business turf this portrays something else. The name conjures Spanish conquistadors. And with a company logo which is a coat of arms with a cross embedded in it, ha! Torquemada is here! Europe has a deep, dark history that isn’t obvious to many of us in Africa as we only focus on colonisation. The Spanish Inquisition is one of such. And because of such history, decisions are taken today either in reward, or revenge. The point is that in order to get what you want, avoid controversies. A nice, innocent-sounding English name, and a logo that bears no religious hangovers may have helped Paddy sail in the beginning with less hassles. Never mix emotions with business. I have a bit of experience pushing my own peanuts businesses abroad. I have seen that unlike us here, where we operate an open sesame, the rest of the world holds their dollar on a tight leash and determine who they give it to – in spite of the pretences to low barriers and transparency. As a matter of fact, nothing goes to foreigners if ever they can avoid it. But here, we deprive locals and favour foreigners, though hopefully things are changing – at least in the oil sector.

Sixth, I hope all readers also researched some of the technical terms used in the article? The young man schooled us in some of the intricacies of the trade. ‘Reserve Based Lending’ for example, means lending against crude oil reserves or the revenue stream from the oil well serving as collateral. Then there is the interesting terminology called “Abandex”. In the particular instance of the asset that Paddy pitched for, the Dutch government required an Abandonment fee of $300 million to be paid by any developer who decides to quit the oil well, in order for the site to be returned to the exact natural state it was initially. Hear him: “Essentially the Dutch government required all operators to restore their areas of operation back to how nature intended – which meant all infrastructure had to be removed at the end of production. The cost of this is what is termed “abandonment liability” or “abandex””. Incredible isn’t it? Imagine buying an asset for say $50 million, or less, and then paying $300 million if you realise the asset is crap! You see how the oyibos protect themselves and their people, their lands and their water? I doubt if we have anything close to this in Nigeria, or if anybody cares. At the negotiating table for this kind of asset in Nigeria, our government people are probably thinking of how they can be structured into the deal, while Nigeria goes to Hell.

Seven, Let me lump up some other takeaways. The banks were not ready to help as usual. When the risk seems high, banks usually back off everywhere. At some point Paddy was high and dry, and would have had to look for the funding from anywhere had he won the bid for Chevron Netherlands. Also, the Euro-Americans are way too smart. They invented the game. They saw how Paddy’s Catalan wanted to absorb the gas “abandex” and leave the oil, even though he was advised to do so by the guys on his side. Were they playing games with Paddy? The guys who advised him should know that the trick woulds be detected.

Eighth, perhaps the most important lesson in the whole episode happened in the end. Paddy’s story ended in a crescendo. I have now learnt that he’s been a scriptwriter since 15! Anyway, having given his best and spent what in my estimation could be as much as $5 million, if not more (hiring an expensive team, expensive, status travels, membership of prestigious, members-only clubs, acquisition of five jet-black, brand new Mercedes S-Class for a particular meeting, and many likely fees to even get in on the action – I know how those oyibo guys play), Paddy went back to Nigeria deflated, only to discover that his friend in Lagos was on one-on-one friendship terms with the MD of Petrogas Oman, the company that won the bid! He had broached his dream with this friend of his, Remi, but had not elaborated. If he had, perhaps he would have won the bid or be part of a Joint Venture that bought the asset. This tells us that many times, the thing we are looking for in Sokoto, is right in our pockets. (Sokoto). We should never put down little contacts. Even though Remi is also said to be a big boy here, but I’ve seen where drivers, assistants and middle managers provide the information and even introductions that one requires to clinch a deal. For me, I believe a deal stands a better chance of flying if one talks about it – in a strategic way though – with one’s associates than when one keeps it on a hush. Yes, people steal ideas, but no one can work an idea better than the owner of the idea. Indeed when I’m stumped about some of my little transactions (nowhere near the kind of deals that will interest Paddy), I’m known to put out a word to all my friends on Facebook. I’ve tried it many times. There is no contact I want in the world that I cannot get from my 5,000 friends on Facebook and their friends. However, no one has been born who can utilise ALL the opportunities that come their ways, because opportunities are often disguised as challenges – hence unrecognisable or infeasible – or the sheer fact that we cannot be everywhere at the same time. Just get your bit, and move on.

So to the guy that may yet become the “Alexander the Great of African Oil”, as he had hoped, or indeed of any other sector he chooses, I’m glad he has realised the need for one to write their own stories. I identify with such big thinking because that is what I’ve striven to do with our political project, ANRP. Calling people to help has worked for me, and even if I’m no longer on the scene, I believe things will keep moving. I believe that with the daring Paddy has shown, he has won a very important garland; and that is failure. People are afraid of failure, and challenges, but those two elements are very essential for greatness. People who are very afraid of failure and challenges, usually remain mediocre through life.

The entire story reminds me of the 1997 Apple advert, which is a poem of sort, credited to Robert Siltanen

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Dear Paddy… stay crazy…

IGP Wants Anti-Grazing Law Suspended To End Herdsmen Killings

Featured Image

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has blamed the anti-grazing law implemented by the Benue State Government as the cause of the crises which claimed no less than 73 lives in Logo and Guma local government areas of the state early in the New Year.

Consequently, he requested that the anti-grazing law should be put on hold until ranches are established.

Idris said these on Friday when he met with the Senate Committee on Police Affairs to brief them on his level of compliance with the Senate directive to apprehend the perpetrators of the Benue attacks and hand them over to the state Attorney General for prosecution.

The Senate had given the police boss a 14-day ultimatum to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the killing of 73 residents in Benue State.

Following his inability to make the arrests as well as give updates on the issue, the Senate on Wednesday resolved to summon Mr. Idris, to give explanations as it vowed not to overlook the matter.

Yesterday, when he appeared before the senate committee on police, Idris explained the efforts of the police to quell killings.

A source at the meeting which Idris had with the lawmakers quoted him as saying the clashes between farmers and herdsmen escalated because of the anti-grazing law.

“He (IGP) said the anti-grazing law is the issue and that it should be stopped temporarily but brought back after the ranches have been put in place by the federal government,” the source said.

“He blamed the escalation of the clashes on the implementation of the anti-grazing law.”

The source added that the IGP said about 140 people had been arrested in connection with Benue killings.

“He said that about 140 people have been arrested so far and most of them have been charged to court for prosecution. And he said that investigations are still ongoing for those who are yet to be charged to court,” the source said.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 5: Housemates Bond Gets Tighter

Featured Image

As is expected of every big brother show, the housemates of #bbnaija season 3 seem to be bonding and getting closer.

As the saying goes, when the going gets tough, only the tough gets going when they have friends to carry them along. The newly formed couples in the #bbnaija house seem to be living this saying as they make biggies idea of creating them a good one.

With the wager loss and the aubsequent punishment from big brother, it has turned out to be a pretty frustrating experience to say the least, for the #bbnaija housemates, so much so that Housemates turned to each other for support and more.

The pair of miracle and Nina seem to be getting more explicit as the day goes by, eveb as they express their feelings by teasing, giggling and gazing into each other’s eyes like a pair of old lovers.

Oddly enough, the pair of K.brule and Khloe seem to have fallen for each other, despite the volatile nature of the latter. Khloe appears to have taken so much heat from the #bbnaija House, but that doesn’t seem to be a good enough justification for her mood swings, especially when the pair of Cee-C and Tobi are close by.

Why there isnt much to say about the pace at which Cee-C and Tobi have multiplied their public display of affection, as Tobi’s soft strokes of Cee-C hair, him massaging her feet, and the obvious intimacy is plain to see.

Despite the fact that both have stolen the limelight from the duo of Bambam and Teddy A, it doesnt seem to be a bad thing as the bond of the two kept diffusing.

Angel could be seen hovering over Ahneeka like bees over honey and Rico Swavey didn’t bat an eyelid. He however did catch up as he gave Ahneeka her first guitar lesson.

It seems we are up for more sparks and fireworks as the days go by. With the #bbnaija housemates letting their guards down ,things will only get more intense and explosive.

As from July 16, it will become mandatory for judges and staff of Nigerian courts to communicate court documents with lawyers by electronic mail, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, has said.

The CJN made this known on Friday, February 2, at the launch of the newly retrofitted court and legal email system at the Supreme Court, Abuja.

Onnoghen said this would basically be between judges, lawyers and court staff.

He said the email system, which is a unique feature of the day’s event, will replace manual forms of communication between judges, court staff and lawyers.

His words: “I will like to implore all judges and lawyers to join us on this quest for excellence by subscribing to, and acquiring the legal email, as manual forms of communication within the Nigerian Courts will soon be phased out.

“Henceforth lawyers who have acquired the Legal Email can now communicate electronically with the courts and with each other. However, by July 16, it becomes mandatory.

“The Supreme Court will only serve processes by electronic means. (Legal mail). Hence all new filings as from July 16 must bear counsel’s legal email address.

“To ensure compliance, it is also imperative that all other heads of Courts aquire the Legal email addresses for their Courts from the JITPO Committee, especially for the Litigation Department staff.

“All courts are also encouraged to start using the email for serving lawyers. In addition, communication between the various Judicial bodies will soon be through the official email system only, thereby harnessing the benefits of the system in terms of confidentiality, integrity and availability.”

#BBNaija 2018 Day 5: Bit to Wins The First Payporte Arena Games For Big Brother Naija Season 3

Featured Image

Big brother nigeria has come to be known for its arena games which holds every Friday and Bitto to became the first winner for #bbnaija season 3.

The first Payporte Arena Games of the season kicked off with all the #bbnaija housemates feeling excited. It began with the Head of House, Tobi reading out the instructions of the nights game to the Housemates.

There was however a moment of confusion as the housemates didn’t know whether they were allowed to move away from the Punishment bowls or stay put, close to them.

For what seemed like a minute, the #bbnaija housemates could be seen exchanging anxious glances before Big Brother’s voice could be heard over the loudspeakers that punishments were suspended until further notice.

For the Games, the #bbnaija Housemates were instructed to complete an obstacle course, crawl through a tunnel, pile tires up into a tower and solve a jigsaw puzzle in the shape of the Big Brother eye for the chance to win a luxury treatment the following day.

The game commenced as soon as the #bbnaija started Housemates had put their safety gears on. All the housemates went through the hurdles and bitto emerged victorious as the end of the games, much to everyones surprise.

Big brother sounded stunned ,even as he had earlier taken a dig at bitto, by saying “you are more athletic than you look”. Bitto hoeever wasnt the only on to get a jab from biggie, as K.brule suffered the same fate.

Biggie had exhibited his dry sense of humour when he pulled K.Brule’s leg when the latter missed a piece of the jigsaw and launched “it is doubtful that you have a career as a painter”. K.Brule took it in good stride as he knows hos skills are in music and he is a good musician.

With Bitto to emerging winner of the payporte arena games, we wait to see the treat big brother would give him for his effort.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 5: Wager Loss Raises The Stakes For The Housemates

Featured Image

After the wager loss of the previous day, it appears the #bbnaija housemates have come to the realisation that the stakes have risen.

Day 5 in the #bbnaija house saw most of the Housemates, excluding the trio of Bitto, K.Brule and Dee-One getting in a high intensity dance work out.

The bump and grind left all the housemates that participated feeling high, which was what they needed exactly after the disappointments of the previous night.

After losing the Task Presentation, the #bbnaija Housemates had a brief discussion that centered on how to be better. In time, the housemates were soon back to their lively spirits.

As the day went by, Big Brother announced to all of the Housemates that Tobi had a secret task to siphon secrets from two Housemates. Tobi was required to share the secrets with all of the #bbnaija Housemates.

Furthermore, the pair of Bambam and Teddy A spoke about their dreams for their future. Teddy A appeared to pay rapt attention, even though we don’t know if he was actually paying attention or playing the game.

The pair of Khloe and K.Brule appeared to have had quite an intimate moment as the pair connected over pillow talk. It was evident that K.Brule hoped that he and Khloe would be more than just a strategic pair but Khloe still seems to have him at arms length.

Tobi and Cee-C on their part, seem glued to each other as they move their conversations everywhere around the #bbnaija house. The head of house, Tobi seems like a charismatic and charming fellow and that appears to be working well on Cee-c.

Cee-C however doesnt seem to be bonding well with Members of The Black Knight team, as she doesn’t seem to be well known to other Housemates.

Big Brother is however asserting his dominance over the #bbnaija housemates, especially regarding the blatant disregard of the House rules. It is left to be seen how the #bbnaija housemates respond to biggie’s punishment and how much worse things can get if they continue to fail to comply.
