Arsenal have an “exit strategy” in place should Arsene Wenger decide to step down as manager this summer, according to the Daily Mail
Arsene Wenger penned a new two-year deal with the Gunners last summer after much uncertainty over his future but has been tipped to call it quits halfway through that deal if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League again.
The Daily Mail believes that the most likely scenario is that Wenger will see out his contract but the club have plans ready in case he goes earlier than expected.
The newspaper also claims that they want the issue of Wenger’s long-term future decided this summer in order to avoid uncertainty and will either tie him down to an even longer-term deal or make the announcement that he will leave in 2019.
