Zodwa Wabantu: Zambia Deports South African Dancer – Who Performs Without Underwear

Featured Image

The authorities of Zambia on Saturday, March 10, deported a controversial female South African dancer, Zodwa Wabantu, who is popularly known for performing without underwear.

According to Reuters, the reason for her deportation was over concerns about Christian morality and fears that her performance would “undermine national values”.

It is understood that Zodwa had been billed to perform at an album launch later on Saturday evening, but was sent back when she landed in the morning at the Kenneth Kaunda international airport.

“I can confirm that Zodwa has been deported back to South Africa by the immigration department,” her promoter Lucky Munakampe told AFP, adding no reasons were given for her deportation.

Last week, Zambia’s religious affairs minister Godfridah Sumaili told AFP that Zodwa would not be allowed to perform in the country.

“Zambia is a Christian nation where morality and ethics have to be followed. We don’t expect a woman to dance without underwear,” Sumaili said.

In the same vein, the organizers of the show said in a statement earlier this week that Zambia’s National Arts Council had rejected their application.

“The Council stated that… Zodwa’s performances were not in the public interest and undermined our national values,” the statement said.

Speaking on the incident, Zodwa told TshisaLIVE that she arrived in Zambia late on Friday night ahead of a scheduled performance in the country on Saturday evening.

Sunday Times quoted the news outlet as saying that she was stopped by immigration authorities and escorted to a hotel with no real explanation about what was happening.

“They stopped me at the airport and said I couldn’t perform. They didn’t give me any reasons. I think our promoters were also in the dark. I didn’t even leave the hotel,” she said.

Zodwa said a fight ensued between her promoters and Zambian authorities, and after hours of discussion, she was told she would be put on the first flight back to South Africa.

Zambia is a largely conservative country where the majority of people practice Christianity.

Last year the censorship board in neighbouring Zimbabwe barred Wabantu from performing at an annual carnival after a protest by a local actress.

Following a backlash, censorship authorities later backtracked and allowed Wabantu to perform at a private venue, but she refused to go saying she was afraid.

Featured Image

In the matter filed against Kiss Daniel by his former label, G-Worldwide, the Federal High Court in Lagos ruled yesterday that having made a case for the grant of injunctions against the artists, on the basis that the same evidence which was presented for the grant of the injunctions are same with those submitted to the court for the trial and main issue, the court is constrained to make an order for an accelerated hearing and trial of the matter.

Recall that the court had order the parties to maintain status quo under the recording contract in December 2017, and by virtue of the fact that both parties have submitted themselves to the court, parties are to refrain from taking any steps or doing any act that may affect the final decision of the court.

The parties are to come before the court on 16th May, 2018 with their witnesses – Emperor Geezy and Kiss Daniel on that day to tender their evidence and testify.

Akon Speaks On 2020 Presidential Run With Mark Zuckerberg As VP (VIDEO)

Featured Image

Popular American-Senegalese singer, Aliaume Thiam, better known by his stage name as Akon, has hinted that he would probably ‘run’ for the office of becoming America’s number 1 citizen and in doing so, he would pick Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg as his running mate.

In an interview with a pressman on Friday at Los Angeles which was captured by TMZ, the 44-year-old singer spoke about debating with President Donald Trump and lecturing him on governance.

When asked how he would defeat President Trump if he was to hypothetically ‘run’ in 2020, and what his campaign strategy would be, he said “I would love to debate Donald Trump. Matter of fact, I would just want to challenge him.”

“If I was to run for President I would actually ask [Mark Zuckerberg] to be my running man.

“Because I think sometimes it takes people from the outside to really see life differently, to make differences,” he says in the video below.

Akon added that President Trump has been making a difference “but the question is if the difference is positive or negative. I think Trump would have been a great president if he made decisions for the people.”

“If he was as passionate as he is for his own interests as he is for the people, oh he would have made an amazing president,” he said.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: YCee To Serenade At The Live Shows

Featured Image

The #bbnaija live show stage will be taking things a notch higher as multi-talented rapper and songwriter YCee will be gracing the live shows on day 42.

YCee is definitely a man of many facets, having started out in 2012 as an underground rapper and in just three years he went on to being nominated as “Best Artist in African Pop” category at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards for his song “Condo”. His music dynamism and creativity has enabled him to rub shoulders with the high and mighty in the music industry and this has also brought him to the #bbnaija stage.

Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Oludemilade Martin Alejo has been making musical waves both locally and internationally. Last year, he burst onto the UK scene with his smash hit, “Juice” featuring fellow international Nigerian artist Maleek Berry. The musical track garnered millions of views worldwide and infiltrated not only the modern African music scene but also the world music scene.

His “First Wave” EP, which was an eight track compilation of hip-pop/afropop brought some serious heat with the track produced by Adey becoming one of Nigeria’s biggest songs of the year. It also made huge waves in the diaspora, as it stayed on top of a number of musical charts for weeks.

Most recently YCee has teamed up with another new international powerhouse for his latest single, “Say Bye Bye” featuring Ghanian artist Eugy, just as Team Salut handled the musical production aspect.

With YCee expected to perform a number of his hit songs on the #bbnaija stage on sunday, it is certain that both the audience and viewers will definitely be in for a time of their lives as he is set to perform his hit song “Juice” and a medley of “Bye Bye” and “Omo Alhaji” from his repertoire of music.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: The Alex Effect

Featured Image

Alex is one of the few #bbnaija housemates that has a contagious energy that could be felt right from the moment she first walked onto the Big Brother Naija stage. From rocking everywhere with her green hair to being the queen of the dance floor, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with.

At the beginning, she seemed to have had it all figured out and looked like she knew what she wanted and how she would get everything on her way to winning the biggest prize the #bbnaija house has to offer. As a matter of fact, this is true for most if not all of the #bbnaija Housemates.

Everyone thought that having watched the show before would give them an upper hand but they have so far being left in shock, as they realise that it is not a smooth sail as previously thought. Being so young and in a position where she’d be exposed to so much with the whole of Africa exposed to her, Alex took a bit of a fall and almost completely lost her game plan.

With 19 other overbearing personalities in the #bbnaija House, there was evidence of back stabbing and quarrel cocktails that always spilt over and intoxicated the entire House. Alex on her part seemed to take even deeper dives and found it hard to swim to the surface and catch her breath, which a number of times leaves her unhappy and grasping at straws.

However, it seems like her absence during her ‘recollection period’ did her good because she managed to dodge the Nomination bullet and got out of it with mere scratches and emotional bruises. This was perhaps due to the consequent Eviction of her bestie Vandora.

Alex seems to have realised that the only way was up really and that’s where she seems to be going, slowly but surely. Her gaming philosophy is quiet different from the rest of the #bbnaija housemates though. During her conversation with Ifu Ennada, she said, “there’s only one winner, one out of 20 people and you want me to break my leg?”

Basically, she seems not to be ruffled or have any intention of ruffling any feathers or stab any backs, unless of course it’s done to her.

Furthermore, her partnership with Tobi wasn’t only remedial for him, she too immensely benefited from it. Even though she’d locked herself in closet Leo for a while, Tobi managed to get through to her and not only was her energy felt during ‘audiogasm’, she cracked the shell and stepped over the pieces in the #bbnaija House too.

Although she’s mentioned just how afraid she was of growth, there is more than enough evidence that she has gone throigh it.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: Winning Housemates Get Rewarded

Featured Image

After a gruelling week of environmental awareness and physical constraints, the #bbnaija Housemates were ready to get into a good game for the days ahead. Competition is a thing in the Double Wahala House, where every week, the housemates try to outdo one another.

The night of day 40 was no different as all the #bbnaija housemates jumped, crawled, climbed, dived and hit the ball like never before to come out tops. Even Teddy A was undeterred when Biggie called him out for touching the bucket with his hands as he tried to pluck with his teeth, one of the apples out of the water.

With forty-nine seconds, Cee-C ruled the Friday night arena game as her record score could not be beaten by anyone on the night.

As the adrenaline from the Game dissipated, Biggie took a jab at the #bbnaija Housemates’ for poor execution of the environmental challenge that didn’t meet his expectation. What was intended to be fun and simple turned out differently.

Biggie also scorned Ifu Ennada and Lolu for throwing insults at each other. As always, he reassured the #bbnaija House to expect normal water supply again before dropping the bomb that they had lost their wager. This news to say the least stunned the housemates in no mean measure.

After a quick shower and some refreshments, Biggie gathered the #bbnaija Housemates in the lounge again this time to announce the winner of the Task Presentation.

After outlining the criteria for the assessment, Biggie announced Team Blue – Ifu, Leo, Tobi and Lolu – and their Oct app as the winners of a 3-course lunch, as well as seed capital for each member, capacity building, access to free business clinics and individual business mentors.

To top their very generous reward, each #bbnaija housemate who are members of the winning team, were also awarded a weekend getaway for two in a luxury hotel in Lagos.

“I Am Not In Competition With Olamide, Lilkesh, Small Doctor” – Slimcase Speaks

Featured Image

Oshozondi crooner, Slimcase has revealed his past struggles before fame. In a recent chat with Saturday Beats, he disclosed that he was once a factory worker for about ten years earning N15,000 per month.

“Before fame found me, I worked as a factory boy for about ten years. I worked with Dangote and a lot of companies that produce dry gin. I earned about N15,000 per month but now, I am one of the most sought-after artistes and I charge about N1m per show,” he said.

After many years as a factory worker, the singer decided to try his hand in music but chose rap genre, a move that was not profitable to him. After embracing ghetto sound, he decided to switch genre; a decision which has turned him to one of the rave-of the-moment artistes.

“I never believed that I would be this big within a short period of time. I have been in the industry for about seven years but when I started, I was a rap artiste, I did radio-friendly songs but my life and music changed when the Shaku Shaku trend came on board. Before I released my hit song, ‘Oshozondi,’ the guys on the streets of Mushin and Agege area had been dancing the Shaku Shaku dance but there was no beat that blended with their songs. They had been looking for a peculiar beat that would be rhythmic with the sound but the likes of Davido and Wizkid were giving them posh songs till I came on board and released the ‘Oshozondi’ song and the beat was purely for the street; it was pure Shaku Shaku beat. The trend of the new song and the dance step just came out at the perfect time and it worked for me. Before I knew it, they started dancing Shaku Shaku to my song and people began to believe that I was the one that originated Shaku Shaku. After the ‘Oshozondi,’ the ‘Legbegbe’ song came on board,” he said.

Meanwhile, after the success of the “Oshozondi” song, both established and upcoming artistes want a collaboration with him in an attempt to tap from the trending “shaku-shaku” vibe. He told Saturday Beats that he thought he had a prank call when he was invited to sing with D’banj.

“I never imagined the likes of D’banj or Tiwa Savage featuring me in a song but it has happened and next week, I am releasing another song with Wizkid. It was after the ‘Legbegbe’ song trended that I got a call from someone in D’banj’s camp for a feature with him because the sound was already trending on the mainland. After that, I got a call from DJ Enimoney and we did a song that featured the likes of Tiwa Savage and Reminisce,” he said.

Despite the popular believe that Slimcase musical prowess is threat to the likes of Olamide, Lilkesh and Small Doctor, the singer pointed out that he is more like their colleague not a threat.

“I am not a threat to the likes of Olamide, Lil Kesh or Small Doctor but people may think I am because I have brought a new sound from the street to the industry. People just like the way I do my thing because in my songs, you cannot easily decipher if I am singing or talking. They just love the uniqueness of my style. Everyone is doing well in their own lane. I just thank God for where I am today,” Slimcase said.

While speaking on the wide range of immoralities attached to “Shaku Shaku”, he said;

“The Shaku Shaku songs are street songs from the innermost parts of the ghetto. These songs only paint the picture of what happens in the innermost parts of the ghetto. Someone just has to sing about things like that,” he said.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: The Mysteries Of Anto

Featured Image

With her delicate frame, Anto entered the #bbnaija House on a bouncing stride, looking all pretty, smiley and most particularly guarded and wary of all the other housemates. By virtue of being the only US-born Nigerian in the cohort – and the only spectacled Housemate – she stood out like a sore thumb.

She however seems to have been able to turn what may have appeared like a flaw in her favour. Not only was she fit and sporty, with a clear complexion and general sparkle for life, Anto oozed comfort in her skin, in who she is and in her ability to lead herself. She has never for once claimed to be who she is not, and she has exuded poise and confidence all through.

The other #bbnaija Housemates have discovered that despite the spectacles she regularly wears, there lies a fiercely clever personality behind it. From the get go, Anto brushed any male advances aside, taking males down a peg.

Without a word, Anto made it known that she wouldn’t entertain anyone’s fantasies, be it male or female, for she had come to win the ₦ 45 million prize. Nonetheless, she blended in nicely in the crowd, never loud yet unmissable.

The other #bbnaija Housemates also reciprocated the chill by keeping a respectable distance from Anto. It’s not that they didn’t like her, it’s just that they sensed she simply was not in their little worlds. The guys quickly got to grips with the fact that they stood zero chance for they were not her type at all.

As for the girls, they agreed quickly Anto was out of their league, as she was not the type that was clingy or moody, like some of them had been. They also seem to respect her like an older wiser sister whose long, healthy natural hair they envied.

Yet, the mysteries that surround Anto remain solid and are yet to be unravelled. While she’s not shy of telling it like it is and sprinkle a few scathing remarks when necessary, no one has really pierced her secrets.

Except perhaps Lolu, her cerebral male alter-ego with whom she has formed a symbiotic pair. These two are so comfortable with each other that they look into each other’s eyes, whisper in each other’s ears, walk arm in arm and sweet-talk themselves to sleep.

While Lolu appears to be more clingy, ever since her pairing with Miracle, Anto has made a new ally in the #bbnaija House. She’s been happier to have another source of companionship in the House for they are on the same wavelength. They’ve had a nice synergy during a few Tasks.

So far Anto’s strategy, like all smart people, has been to downplay her credentials. Her excellent listening abilities have allowed her to steadily navigate the Double Wahala House and adapt to her environment. This makes her mysterious and we can’t help but ask who Anto really is.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: Housemates Getting Bored With Being Cramped

Featured Image

The #bbnaija housemates have spent almost six full weeks inside the Big Brother Naija House and it is evident that they are beginning to get bored and feel cramped which has resulted in them plaguing their fellow Housemates.

It is obvious that being in one space for any extended period of time has the potential to get to anyone and the #bbnaija housemates are no different. One of the tell-tale signs of the frustration are extreme lows and monumental highs. This has been evident in the behaviour of the #bbnaija Housemates all through this week and particularly on the night of day 39.

For most of day 39, the mood was low in the #bbnaija House. The Task seemed to get everyone tired and down but then in a flash they were back up to their vibrant selves after dancing and listening to some music.

It was the same after the seriousness of the Task, as the whole #bbnaija house was alive with playful laughter and chatter. This same theme can be seen with the couples in the House who have also been going from one extreme to the next all week.

A part of the Task presentation on the night saw the #bbnaija Housemates all imitating and talking about their mothers but this spilled over into their upbeat scatter through the House after.

All the Housemates were running around the House crazily, screaming “I love you mom” at the top of their lungs. Another indicator of the fact that they are feeling bored and cramped is their longing for their mothers.

Cabin fever behaviour consists of getting irritated and frustrated quickly which we have seen throughout the whole week but last night BamBam practically lay into Lolu.

She confronted him about the fact the he has never cooked in the #bbnaija House. His weak defence was quickly shattered by the fierce Head of House, who told him that the kitchen is open at any time for anyone to cook and he has literally never cooked for the Housemates.

Snapping over the small things left right and center is an indication of boredom and irritation with cramped spaces which is entirely normal. We wait to see how the others cope in the coming days.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: Housemates Put Their Heads Together

Featured Image

The Heritage bank challenge was different from others the #bbnaija housemates have faced, as it required intellectual investment and had the Housemates thinking outside the box. They basically had to stand firmly as consumers, curating ideas based on their own expectations from a financial service provider.

The Treasure Hunt.

For the first day of the Task, the Housemates went on a treasure hunt and were Tasked with finding clues that would eventually lead to them receiving their kit boxes that contained material and attire that would be used for their main Task preparations. The Housemates literally went on a wild goose chase and turned every article in the House upside down. The clues were eventually put together.

The second day of the task was one that was entirely based on strategy. A brief stating the rules of engagement and information on how they were expected to curate their presentations was given. Basically, the #bbnaija Housemates were to build a strategy corner, designated only for Task talk and planning and in addition to that, read up on the Octopus and then develop apps based on the features of the Octopus.

The groups went straight into the planning, with some #bbnaija Housemates automatically assuming leadership and delegating mini tasks amongst the team member. At that point, all was well and things were expected to end well, but did it?

Day 40 marked the third and final day of the Task. The #bbnaija Housemates were given an opportunity to brush up on the Apps and polish their presentations. On Big brother’s cue, Bambam representing Team White took to the podium and was able to make her case with very few errors, while also respecting the constraints of time.

She was followed by a clearly well-rehearsed Tobi who’s entire plot and presentation was convincing and sounded like an app created by Mars inhabitants, on behalf of Team Blue.

Last but not least, with a book in hand, Cee-C took to the stage and laid Team Green’s App on the surface for all to see. Theirs was particularly interesting because there were ‘cheater buster’ features and one that could limit one’s budget when on a date with unwelcomed guests.

The judges, Anto, Lolu and Teddy A had to deliberate and to say the least, it sure wasn’t an easy decision, even as we await their verdict.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: Housemates Get Busy With Tasks

Featured Image

The Task presentation was all encompassing, and it really brought out a new side of the #bbnaija housemates because it included different facets of social consciousness, familiarity and love.

The theme of the week was based on conservation and environmentalism and Biggie made sure the #bbnaija Housemates didn’t forget it. As they all entered the Arena, dolled up and ready for the debate, they walked into a sea of garbage and were told to pick it all up.

Biggie also tied the #bbnaija Housemates together and made them wear diving gear. And if that was not difficult enough, they had to put the rubbish into the correct recycle bins. It was a funny sight, watching them try and navigate their way around but with a healthy dose of team work, they had everything spick and span in no time.

It was only after some of the #bbnaija Housemates were made to collect samples of contaminated water that the actual debate began.

A few of the #bbnaija Housemates brought their study material to the podium but there were others, like Ifu Ennada, Anto, Rico, Leo and Teddy A who took to this challenge like a duck to water.

Teddy A was ever the charismatic host and Leo looked like he was born to speak in public. Both sides made some valid points and everyone worked well together. Lolu got a bit too ahead of himself though and went over time far too much but in the end, all the #bbnaija housemates were able to get their message across.

The information that was expressed was both interesting and awakening, as it gave insight into a topic that a lot of people know little or nothing about.

While the host and all the speakers were of one voice, athe three judges, Alex, Cee-C and Nina were lacking significantly in both their effort and engagement in the Task. Biggie addressed them straight and told them that their questions were weak.

The last part of the Task presentation was an imitation. All the #bbnaija Housemates were asked to imitate a women in their life and tell everyone something about that woman that inspires them.

It seemed like all the #bbnaija Housemates just had their mothers on the brain or they were confused but each and every single one of them chose their moms.

Miracle sang a song and then the rest followed suit with stories. Leo’s tale was emotional, as was Cee-C’s and Teddy A had everyone in laughter with his.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 40: Female Power Reigns Supreme

Featured Image

The women in the 2018 #bbnaija house have definitely come a long way as they have grown from strength to strength since their time in the house. They are literally heroes, despite their imperfections, as they have brought unlimited entertainment and fun to our television screens.

Bambam is one of the most peaceful and empathetic housemates in the #bbnaija house. Even when she was asked the motives behind her nomination, she never directly attacks other housemates but she instead focuses on their overall contribution or lack of.

She is a good listener and becoming the first female Head of House has helped in no little way to show her leadership skills and bring out some of the parts we never thought she had.

Anto’s personality is a stern and stable one that is difficult to decipher. She’s been able to keep her emotions in check and has her eye fixed on the price. She is one of the few #bbnaija housemates that has never had a single argument.

She’s loyal to her pack and driven, and that is one of the reasons she has survived this long in the #bbnaija house.

Cee-C isn’t just a pretty face and she has proven it countless times. Her resilience and strong will make her one of the toughest female acts to follow. She draws her strength from past experiences and doesn’t allow anything or anyone close enough to hurt her.

She however keeps things bottled up and this makes her come across as aggressive. Like many of us, she has things bottled up inside, things that make her come across as aggressive.

Nina is an epitome of passion and affection. Instead of being broken down by criticism, she’s used it as a building blocks for a newer and stronger version of herself. Her instant attraction to Miracle isn’t a sign if weakness but that of strength and self-assurance. After all, there are decades where nothing happens and days where decades happen.

Ifu Ennada isn’t afraid to adjust the volume whenever she feels that she isn’t audible. She creates her own rhythm while respecting the difference in those of other. She also has a playful and sexually awake side to her, as no topic is a taboo, neither is any challenge to her.

Authentic and sometimes naïve, Alex dances to the beat of her own drum and is still on her muse finding journey. She confesses to what she doesn’t know and contributes to what she does. Colourful hair and even more colourful personalities, her life is a canvas and she’s the artist. Only those that see life from the same perspective can understand things from her perspective.

While 5 people were killed at Bassa Council, the six other persons were killed at Bokkos Council.

The figure was confirmed by the National President of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Sunday Abdu, while speaking with journalists in Jos yesterday.

It is understood that the attacks came as President Muhammadu Buhari was concluding his first official visit to the state.

Abdu said: “It is true that five people were killed in Miango by Fulani herdsmen in an attack, which took place Thursday night and lasted till the early part of yesterday morning.

“Others were wounded in the unprovoked attack. The bodies of the five people have been deposited at the hospital morgue.

“We are no longer in a hurry to bury our dead. Whenever we are going to bury them, we will let you people know.

“The herdsmen are killing us, but they are the ones crying. What kind of pretext is that? I still appeal to the security personnel not to relent, but step up more vigilance and surveillance to stop this pogrom and unwarranted carnage.”

Also confirming the attack and killing, spokesman of the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Adam Umar, said when the incident happened, the people alerted the OPSH personnel, who responded swiftly and mobilised to the scene.

He added that before the soldiers got to the scene, the attackers had fled. He added that troops were fully in charge of the area, as patrols have been intensified, with a view to arresting the perpetrators.

Umar also appealed to the people to always be vigilant and security-conscious by reporting any strange object or movement to the nearest security agency for prompt attention.

NLC Sets July Deadline For Nigeria’s New Minimum Wage

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has maintained that the country’s new minimum wage must come into effect in July this year.

The President of Congress, Ayuba Wabba, who stated this on Friday during an exclusive interview with The Guardian in Abuja, added that the Congress would reject any date that is beyond July.

Wabba highlighted that arrangements have been finalised to sign the agreement in Kigali, Rwanda on March 21, this year.

He said: “Going by all the data submitted so far to the negotiation committee, we believe that a new wage is possible in July. Labour will reject any date that is beyond July and we have made that known to the government.”

The NLC chief also accused the Minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, of seeking to sign the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement, without consulting labour, manufacturers and the National Assembly.

He stated: “Admittedly a free trade agreement is not a customs union in the sense that Member States abolish only tariffs between them, while maintaining their own tariffs on third world countries, but this would already be impossible.

“Far from promoting regional integration of the continent, it will disintegrate it strongly in opening wide the doors to multinationals already well implemented in most African countries and which would concentrate their activities in the most competitive countries from which they would export to the others.”

It should be noted that in February, the federal government had promised the organized labour, NLC and the entire workforce of the country that the new national minimum wage will be announced latest by end of September this year.

Report: Neymar Wants To Return To Barcelona

Featured Image

Neymar already regrets moving to Paris Saint-Germain and is seeking a shock return to Barcelona, according to reports in the Spanish media on Friday.

In the same week that PSG crashed out of the Champions League, and only seven months after he joined the club for a world record 222million euros ($264 million), Neymar´s future has become uncertain.

Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims the Brazilian, recovering from surgery on a broken foot in Brazil, has made contact with Barca to ask how he can engineer a return.

The article adds Neymar has explained he made a mistake in leaving the club, was wrong to want independence from Lionel Messi and has been disappointed by the standard of opposition in Ligue 1.

Barca, however, is not the only club Neymar is reportedly targeting as a potential way out of PSG.

Madrid-based newspaper AS reports Neymar´s father has met with Real Madrid, who are ready to pay 400million euros to sign the striker.

Asked about the speculation on Friday, Real coach Zinedine Zidane said: “Neymar could play in all the clubs because he is very good, like many players.

“I´m not going to talk about a player that is not mine. On the 400 million, they paid 220 million and when they bought me they paid 72.

“It seemed crazy to me and 10 years later they are paying 220 million. It can be that in the next 10 years someone will pay 400m, or sooner, I do not know.”

Mundo Deportivo concedes Neymar´s courting of Barcelona may even be a tactic to justify a move to Real, given the Catalan club are likely to reject any chance to re-sign the 26-year-old.

Barcelona are still embroiled in a financial dispute over a bonus due to Neymar last summer, which the club cancelled when they believe it became clear he was moving to PSG.

Neymar missed PSG’s last 16 loss to Real on Tuesday after undergoing surgery on a broken foot in Brazil last week.
