Ivory Coast Deny Offering Frank De Boer Managerial Job

Featured Image

The vice-president of the Ivorian Football Federation has denied reports linking Frank de Boer with the vacant Ivory Coast managerial role.

“A report on ‘Linfodrome’ that FIF is preparing to appoint Dutchman Frank De Boer as coach of Ivory Coast is completely unfounded,” Sory Diabate told the football authority’s official website.

“It’s no secret that FIF is searching for a new Elephants coach to replace Marc Wilmots. The federation is working hard on this and will announce the name of the coach in due course.”

Ivory Coast are without a permanent coach after Wilmots left his job “by mutual agreement” in November.

Interim manager Ibrahim Kamara led the team in last month’s friendly fixtures against Togo (2-2 draw) and Moldova (2-1 win) in France.

As defending champions Ivory Coast suffered an embarrassing group stage exit at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 64: The Oratory Prowess Of Lolu

Featured Image

With Nine weeks gone in the #bbnaija hoise, it is safe to say that Lolu is one of those Housemates that not only his fellow housemates but people outside have a problem figuring out.

With a somewhat reserved personality and very limited interactions with the other #bbnaija Housemates; it’s pretty safe so say that his success in the House can be attributed to his level headedness and the ability to omit necessary information and make others voluntarily take the blame for him.

Basically, Lolu has proven to be a smooth operator. While others use bulldozers to break, build and break again, his sharpest weapons seem to be his ability to weave intricate words in an oratory manner to melt the strongest of hearts.

Looking back, he was the first of the #bbnaija Housemates to ever get Cee-C to talk about herself and had her unknowingly exposing her vulnerability. This singular fact had the other Housemates slip and reveal their strategies.

His wordsmith and oratory abilities aren’t just a result of a clean and concise vocabulary but an innate gift; purposefully and sparingly sending his message across, be it advice or persuasion, without the need to force or impose.

On the night of day 63 when Ebuka asked him about his and Anto’s situation and if he felt he’d done anything wrong, his response was a classic ‘repeat the question while thinking about a fitting response’.

Although he didn’t give a direct answer, he pretty much left a lot of room for misinterpretation and shied away from admitting the latter. He nonetheless was able to put out the fire without burning his finger; at least not entirely.

Anto’s evolution is fascinatinng both pre and post Eviction from the #bbnaija house. She has gone ahead to speak about how she’d become a bit more sensitive. Lolu on the other hand played a direct role in her evolution, strategy or not.

It’s true what they say, perception is everything because despite the fact that he’s always been consistent about his courting and seemingly had her eyes fixed only on Anto, he proved to be more of a player than he let out; maybe not playing people but words.

With his seemingly cunning and intelligent leanings, it comes as no surprise that the other #bbnaija Housemates haven’t quite being able to crack Lolu’s strategic code. If the happenings of the night of day 64 arez anything to go by, he seems to have been able to smooth-talk his way back into Anto’s good books.

Rape And The Nigerian Condition

Rape and the Nigerian condition – Promise Adiele

CLICK here to read more opinion articles

A first glance at the title of Alexander Pope’s poem The Rape of the Lock immediately rouses the sensibilities to his deployment of the word ‘rape’. Although the mind instantly acquires a sexual cognition of ‘rape’, Pope’s use of it connotes entirely different meaning in the context of the poem. For Pope, ‘rape’ means to take away or remove something from its original place thereby depriving the owner of its importance and service. Indeed, this appears remote from ‘rape’ which describes the forceful initiation of sex without the consent of one of the persons involved.

This piece was written by Promise Adiele and was first published on Nigerian Guardian. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

Before we begin to scrutinize rape, let us establish that the symbolic ethos of any society is essentially composed in its moral order by which the conduct of members is regulated. A breakdown of moral order in any society through rape signifies a dislocation of cosmic harmony and therefore requires propitiation, sometimes punitive; in order to salvage humanity’s doomed fate before chthonic gods. Rape is an undesirable, anti-social act which must be consistently repudiated and abhorred. I do not know of any religion, culture or creed that condones rape. Whether as an act of sexual pervasion or an act of stealing, rape today – like all other social vulgarity – stands trial in the court of public opinion.

Recently, there have been many reports in social and main stream media describing incidents of rape with the geography of victims covering the entire country. In most cases, the victims die or are permanently maimed psychologically and physically. I read the story of a 41 year old man who raped a four year old niece of his to death. What about the story of a 33 year old man who raped his grandmother of 86 years to death.

Consider the chilling story of a 50 year old driver who raped his boss’s 14 year old daughter inside a car and impregnated her. Sometimes rape victims suffer ignominy, lewd and ribald jokes later in their adult lives. Sometimes too, rape victims commit suicide refusing to live with the corrosive memory of the incident. In our homes, in the absence of mum and dad, daughters, nieces and cousins are raped. Some husbands rape their maids. In the corporate world, rape happens. In some of our churches, while the young lady or wife meets the self-styled man of God for counselling, rape happens. In our higher institutions, a marauding lecturer unleashes his sexual urge on a hapless student, rape happens. Regrettably, rape victims refuse to expose those who have violated them; therefore the perpetrators continue to gloat over their deeds and walk as free men.

Unravelling the causes of rape is a daunting task. There are men among us who are sexually demented, whose morbid drive for sex and unrestrained libido have led to embrace necrophilia. There are men whose philandering tendencies and inclinations to sex recreate demonic savagery. Or is the rape mentality activated by fragments of sinister byways of the mind in the face of economic misfortune and hopelessness? If reports of rape involving two human beings grate at our emotions, how about the rape of an animal by a male adult? I have read how a 36 year old man raped a fowl to death. What about a 44 year old man who was caught while trying to copulate with a sheep? Bestiality and sexual psychosis, are they ingrained in the human genome?

Let us turn to another aspect of rape where we are all victims. Nigeria’s economic and socio-political history points to a populace roundly raped and are still being raped. In this case, I use rape to depict stealing and denial, in the way Alexander Pope used it in his poem. Year after year, public officers who lack the basic tenets of leadership beyond avarice and self enrichment are enthroned. We are faced with people torn to shreds by such irreverent considerations as ethnicity, religion and political patronage. The continual burglary of the exchequer at all levels of government establishment evidenced by the perennial lack of infrastructure exposes Nigerians as victims of rape. Of course there are people with warped value systems complicit in the daily rape of our fatherland. While contemporary events points Nigerians to a new beginning come 2019, these people pull in opposite direction in their pursuit of inordinate, self gratifying ends.

The Nigerian child, in his pursuit of academic excellence is raped by such retrogressive gradualism like quota system. Our children who score high marks are denied opportunities to federal schools and universities because they come from a particular region of the country while their counterparts from other regions are selected ahead of them. Nigerians who wish to be enlisted into the police, army, customs or any of the security agencies are raped because their merit opportunities are stolen and denied them in favour of their fellow kwantry men. I hear that many people from the Southern part of the country presently claim to come from Northern states and manipulate their names to reflect Northern origin just to gain admission to universities and get recruited into any arm of our security agencies. A more repugnant crassness in the control of power mechanism has yet to be imagined which makes it possible for educationally handicapped persons to become political leaders and directors of government agencies over their educationally illustrious counterparts from other parts of the country.

Given the above explication of rape, what then is the best way to address the issue? Should rape be avenged or left to fester? If someone’s daughter or relation is raped, what should the person do? Should the person follow the law with all the attendant chicanery associated with our penal system or take the laws into one’s hands and extract quick revenge? There is a tribe in Taiwan where rapists are bound hands and legs and big, ferocious rabbits are called to eat their manhood while they watch – the agony of slow death.

There is another tribe in Japan where the scrotum of the rapist is placed on a wooden stool and a pestle is used to crush them to pieces. Better still, should rapists have broomsticks driven up their genitals? Or should we resort to necromancy inviting Amadioha and Sango, deities famed for their ability to achieve retribution through the swift agency of thunder and lightning? Alternatively, when rape happens, should we rehash that sterile platitude associated with timorous, coward consciences ‘let bygones be bygones’?

Again, how should a people in a country avenge their rape when abundant resources in the country are converted to personal use seeing that raped nations are either led to a ruinous debauchery or a passion for revenge which results to revolution and resistance? Let resistance and revolution happen at the altar of elections in 2019 where the people must make a statement and alter the progressive ascent of socio-economic rape. In this way, rape can appropriately be banished in its minuscule manifestation as we matriculate towards a new nationhood.

‘Runtown May Face Arrest For Sponsoring His Fake Blackmail ‘Sex Tape’ – Eric Many

Featured Image

Emerging reports have it that Runtown is at risk of arrest over claims by his label, Eric Many Records that the singer sponsored the story of his rumored sex tape, to ridicule Eric Many Records’ image.

In an alleged chat between Eric Many Records Owner, Prince Okwudili, and a popular PR agent identified as Kevin that recently went viral, it was deduced that Prince Okwudili threatened to deal with the rebellious singer by leaking his sex tape.

This came after the label slammed a Federal High Court injunction on the singer, restraining him from performing and recording till he settles his debt.

However, the label has issued a disclaimer and distanced itself from such action. While reacting to the widely circulated story, the label immediately issued a statement to deny being behind the sex tape story and went ahead to launch an investigation alongside investigative agencies in that regard.

A statement by Eric Many reads;

‘preliminary findings have revealed that the released sex tape and Whatsapp chat purportedly leaked by Runtown’s label is totally fake and a badly executed stunt by the artist himself. Investigations have led to the capture of a suspect (name withheld) who confessed to using a fake Instagram account to spread the false sex tape leak on Runtown’s request.’

‘We have maintained from the beginning of this saga that Eric Many has a verifiable court injunction against Runtown and we’ll not resort to blackmail or cheap social media stunts as we believe in the rule of law. Investigations are on-going as regards the leaked sex tape story and we’ll let the law take its full course’ the statement said.

In reaction to the story, Prince Okwudili Umenyiora, Chairman of Ericmany Records, stated that he would never comment on the Runtown issue openly as he remains the baby of the Label company, and that “after every war comes peace.”

Eric Many General Manager Johnson Adumike also reacted to the recent development saying;

‘Ericmany has been vindicated but we refuse to be drawn into media war with Runtown who the label made and will therefore not destroy.’

While reacting to the issue, a former Ericmany staff who is closer to Runtown said;

‘Moreover, trying to use a sex tape to black mail Runtown is just like using a bottle of whisky to blackmail a drunk.’

Judge Denies Request To Reconsider Meek Mill’s Prison Sentence

Featured Image

The Judge presiding over the case of rapper, Meek Mill has denied the requests of his legal team to reconsider his prison sentence and step down from the case over personal biases.

Judge Genece E. Brinkley issued a declaration on Monday in Philadelphia that she would not step down from the case and that the “All Eyes on You” rapper’s sentence of two to four years in prison was “absolutely necessary” due to his violation of parole.

The Judge wrote in a court document;

“Defendant received proper notice of all alleged probation violations in advance of his hearing.

“The sentence imposed was not manifestly excessive and this Court stated sufficient reasons on the record to support a state sentence of 2 to 4 years.”

According to Newyork Daily News, Mill’s defence lawyer Joe Tacopina had requested in late March that the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania boot Brinkley over her “bias and “unusual personal interest” in the case.

In her decision Monday, Brinkley denied allegations of crossing professional boundaries with Meek Mill, including claims that she once requested he re-record a Boyz II Men song and give her a shout-out, and that she once tried to get him to change management companies.

Writing about the song request allegation, Brinkley said;

“This bald allegation has no basis in reality. There is zero evidence to support this claim,”

“The court has repeatedly told Defendant that he cannot demand special treatment just because he has chosen to be an entertainer.”

Brinkley also accused Mill and his team of “fabricating” claims that the FBI was investigating his case.

Her decision not to take a second look comes less than a month after Philadelphia prosecutors said they were not opposed to the rapper’s release on bail in light of claims that his arresting officer lied under oath.

Reggie Graham, the lone witness at Mill’s trial ten years ago, was accused by an ex-cop of lying about the events surrounding the rapper’s arrest.

Graham was also named on a “do not testify” list kept by the District Attorney’s office.

Tacopina slammed Monday’s decision as proof that Brinkley has turned the case into a “personal vendetta” against Meek Mill.

Nigeria To Export 1,540MW Of Electricity To Two Neighbouring Countries In 2025

Featured Image

Nigeria is expected to increase the export of electricity to two neighbouring countries, Niger and Benin Republics to 1,540 megawatts by 2025 from 387MW in 2020, a document sighted by newsmen said.

According to The Punch, the document, entitled: ‘Transmission Expansion Plan’, which was obtained from the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, revealed that 780MW and 760MW would be exported to Niger and Benin, respectively by 2025.

In the document, it is understood that between 1973 and 2015, peak electricity generation in Nigeria was increased from 385MW to 4,884MW, reflecting an average growth rate of about 6.3 per cent.

It noted that peak generation reached 4,883.9MW in 2015 and peak output reached 5074.7MW on February 2, 2016.

The document read in part, “Presently, the produced energy cannot cover the demand. Main reasons for shortage of generation are outages of generation units and the unavailability of gas for power generation.

“The gas supply is very often interrupted because of sabotage of pipeline network. The main concern for the future expansion of generation, however, is the availability of gas for additional generation capacity and the expansion of the gas pipeline network. Currently, most of the power plants are installed in the southern part of Nigeria close to the oil and gas fields.”

It said based on provided information, the already installed gross power generation capacity stood at about 13,300MW, of which some 11,800MW were noted as net available capacity.

According to the document, considering the latest information by the generation companies, about 9,500MW (80 per cent) of this capacity should have been available at the end of the year 2015, but only 5,900MW net capacity has been available as statistics of the National Control Centre show.

It added, “Reasons for unavailability are: planned outages for maintenance or forced outages due to technical deficiencies of assets, as well as unplanned unavailability due to shortage of fuel supply or sabotage of gas pipelines.

“A further analysis of provided information shows that about 20 per cent of installed generation capacity is based on plants, which are 25 years old or even older. Some of these plants have an efficiency of less than 30 per cent. It is obvious that most of the old thermal power plants are, or will be causing more frequent forced outages or long term planned maintenance outages in the near future.”

The report noted that the old plants should be replaced by new facilities with higher efficiency, adding that some of the generation companies had already started the modernisation process during the past 15 years.

It stated, “The availability of gas is the most uncertain factor in the generation development. A large quantity of the present gas production is exported. To make more gas available for electricity generation huge investments in gas exploration, gas treatment facilities and gas supply systems (pipelines, etc.) will be required.

“Also, the planned measure for rehabilitation and replacement of existing generation capacity at the end of the economic lifecycle will require huge investments. In 2020, the total generation required to meet the load in Nigeria is 10,700MW and since the generation from new power plants that are envisaged to be in operation by 2020 is limited, the existing generating units, which are currently out of service for various reasons, must be made available if 10,000MW of load is to be served.”

Consumer Protection Council Opens Inquiry To Determine Safety Of Blue Band

Featured Image

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has opened an inquiry into the controversy about the safety of Blue Band “Spread for Bread” when subjected to high temperature in boiling water.

This is coming on the back of a viral video that portrayed Blue Band butter as unsafe.

The council, in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday, disclosed that “a short demonstration video showing how Blue Band “Spread for Bread” (a product of Unilever Nigeria PLC) reacts under certain heat conditions has been circulating, particularly on social media.

Consumer Protection Council (CPC), Blue Band The statement continues:

“The video, or impression it conveys, has become the subject of anxiety and intense controversy. It suggests that the product, which the narrator considers a functional equivalent of ‘Blue Band Original’, is unsafe because, when subjected to high temperature in boiling water, it did not melt or dissolve”.

“Available scientific information confirms that, though butter, margarine, and spread appear analogous, and share similar components, characteristics and uses, they are different products available to consumers. Butter and margarine share a particular similar characteristic; low resistance to heat.”

“As such, both are likely to melt when subjected to certain levels of heat. Spreads however, have varying heat resistance, depending on intended use, and production process. As a result, it is not necessarily unsafe that a spread does not melt under similar heat conditions as butter, or margarine.”

“Spreads are produced in part by adding emulsifiers which are additives used in stabilising and binding processed foods. They are not inherently unsafe or uncommon. The specific emulsifying agent and amount used, largely depends on many factors including shelf life, storage, handling and climatic conditions in order to prevent microbial activity”.

CPC clarified in its statement that the manufacturer of the product has made a statement seeking to address public concern by differentiating its products and explaining the purposes of the two different products.

It said, regardless, the Council has opened an inquiry to determine product safety, and clarify some aspects of the manufacturer’s statements.

It explain that the purpose of the inquiry is to ensure that the product, differentiated or otherwise, is safe and subjected to proper processes, and “in-trade” handling consistent with the different properties and characteristics of each product.

The Council, however, assured consumers of the product that it will continue to collaborate with the National Agency for Food And Drugs And Administration Control,  (NAFDAC) and the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, ( SON), regarding  the applicable safety standards, but advises that consumption of butter, margarine or spreads generally are not unsafe.

Lassa Fever Hits Abia, Kills Doctor

Featured Image

The Commissioner for Information in Abia State, Mr. John Okiyi, has confirmed the outbreak of the deadly Lassa fever at the Federal Medical Centre, in Umuahia.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Okiyi made the disclosure in a statement in Umuahia on Monday, saying that the government and the hospital management had swung into action to check the spread of the disease.

“The Abia State Government is aware of the reported outbreak of Lassa Fever at FMC, Umuahia.

“The state Ministry of Health is working with the authorities of the FMC to ensure full containment of the disease,’’ he said.

The commissioner added that prophylactic treatment of others, who might have come in contact with the victims had commenced in earnest.

“We have fully deployed all our emergency medical response systems to instantly ensure full containment and management of the outbreak,’’ Okiyi said.

He charged all those who had contact with the child, suspected to be the index case, and the medical doctor, who lost her life, to report immediately to the hospital for further review.

Lassa Fever Drugs, Treatment Are Free Of Charge, Says Nigerian Govt

The commissioner assured the people that drug for the treatment of the disease was in adequate supply in the state.

According to him, there is no cause for panic as the disease can be successfully treated, especially if diagnosed early.

However, the authorities of the hospital have said that it was too early to conclude that the deceased contracted the disease in the hospital.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Chuku Abali, said it would be premature to conclude that because a medical doctor in FMC died of the disease, then there was an outbreak of the disease in the hospital.

Lassa Fever And Why You Need To Take It Seriously (Must Read)

Abali said that the deceased tested positive did not mean that she contracted the disease until the hospital was through with the investigations.

“We cannot say she got it at the FMC or in any private clinic. If a patient is brought to the FMC from the village with haemorrhage, you cannot conclude that it is lassa fever.

“You know malaria and other diseases can cause similar symptoms,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, Abali confirmed that a team of investigators from the National Centre for Disease Control had arrived at the hospital to carry out thorough investigations on the matter.

The CMD called for restraint until the end of the investigations, saying that the findings of the team would be made public.

He gave assurance that the hospital was fully equipped to handle any ailment, including lassa fever, but insisted that proper diagnosis had to be carried out first to be sure.

NAN learnt that the deceased, whose identity had not been ascertained as of  the time of filing the report, contracted the disease after handling a child in the hospital suspected to be suffering from the disease.

The doctor reportedly died on Sunday at Irua Specialist Hospital in Edo.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 64: Six Housemates Up For Possible Eviction

Featured Image

As soon as the #bbnaija housemates gathered in the lounge, Head of House Khloe entered the booth card to pick one of the four chance cards. She returned to her throne ready to open it and read its content aloud, but Biggie told her to hold on until he instructed her to do so.

One after the other, the #bbnaija Housemates were called into the Diary Room and had to Nominate two fellow Housemates for possible Eviction.

Tobi Nominated Nina and Lolu, whom he never really took to liking ever since the beginning. Head of House Khloe wanted to see Nina and Alex out of the House, which there is a high possibility of coming true.

Miracle on the other hand has remained consistent throughout his Nomination sessions: week after week,he kept to Nominating Cee-C and Lolu. As for Alex, she didn’t hesitate to name Rico Swavey who had become a confidante and Cee-C for reasons known by herself.

For Lolu, the choice was easy as he Nominated Cee-C and Miracle, unknowingly returning Miracle’s favour. Anto had a different perspective as she wanted to see Rico and Cee-C up for Eviction, while Rico had reluctantly volunteered Cee-C and Lolu for the Exit.

As for Nina, Lolu and Cee-C had to go, if anything because she still resented Cee-C since their clash. Last but not least, Cee-C Nominated Alex and Anto for possible Eviction, not knowing she would be among the Nominated ones.

Asides from Tobi, Anto and Khloe, two thirds of the #bbnaija House got put up for possible eviction. Big brother however seemed not to be done with the housemates yet, as he called the Head of House Khloe to step forward and review the content of the envelope containing her chance card.

She read it and to her greatest surprise it only offered her Immunity and nothing else. This meant Khloe had no privilege to Save or Replace any of the Nominated #bbnaija Housemates.

Biggie nonetheless asked her to choose the Housemate she wanted to share the lottery bedroom with, and she didn’t hesitate to name Rico Swavey who replied with a thumb up movement and one of his characteristic meme expression.

NIMC Tells ‘Eligible’ Nigerians To Come For Their National Identity Card Today

Featured Image

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) on Monday denied the media report of Sunday, April 1, 2018 that it had suspended the issuance of the National Identification cards.

In a statement signed by the Head, Corporate Communications Unit, NIMC, Loveday Ogbonna, the Commission described the report as false and misleading, insisting that it had never suspended the issuance of cards to successful enrollees at any time.

‘‘NIMC reads with deep surprise and disappointment the report published in the Sunday, April 1, 2018 edition of Leadership newspaper, titled “”28.5m Nigerians Agonise Over Suspension Of Nat’l ID Card Issuance.

‘‘We wish to inform the general public that the report, especially the headline, is false and misleading as the Commission has not suspended the issuance of Cards to successful enrolees at any time.

The statement by the spokesperson of the commission said all individuals who completed their enrolment procedures must have received an SMS inviting them to proceed to the NIMC Office they enrolled to pick up their cards from Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

The commission also urged persons who have not received an SMS to check the status of their cards on the NIMC website via www.nimc.gov.ng.

Besides, Nigerians and legal residents who relocated from where they enrolled were advised to visit any NIMC office closest to them to request, fill and submit a card transfer form to the state coordinator for processing.

Regardless, the spokesperson reminded Nigerians and legal residents that the National Identification Number (NIN) was not only the unique identifier, but also the most important token issued by the commission and not the physical electronic-ID card.

Ogbonna said, “NIN, which is fast gaining acceptance by Nigerians, is a set of 11 non-intelligent numbers randomly assigned to an individual at the completion of enrolment into the National Identity Database.

“NIN is used to tie all records about an individual in the database and is verifiable via the NIMC Verification Service portal, which is made available to institutions and organisations upon request.”

She quoted Section 27 (1) and (2) of the NIMC Act, 2007, which listed a number of transactions such as the application for and issuance of a passport; opening of individual and/or group bank accounts; all consumer credits; purchase of insurance policies that could be done with NIM.

Others are the purchase, transfer and registration of land by any individual; National Health Insurance Scheme, and such transactions that had social security implications, registration of voters, payment of taxes and pensions.

“Thus, all NIMC stakeholders, including the media and the general public are enjoined to stop peddling half-truths, or outright falsehood, but rather work with the commission to ensure the success of the National Identity Management System for national growth and development,” Ogbonna added.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 64: Strategies Gone Wrong

Featured Image

Once again, the Big Brother House’s population is been slashed in half and with the finale just 21 days away, the remaining #bbnaija Housemates are left with a rather stirring Task of deciding each other’s fates.

While this is totally expected as it follows the norm, the big question on the lips of a lot of people however is whether or not the demaining #bbnaija housemates use better avenues in their decision making, especially as regards strategy.

This season has certainly proven that even when the #bbnaija housemates see things from the same perspective, fhe results are usually never the same. The #bbnaija Housemates seem to have allowed the game to unfold and didn’t take advantage of the fact that they were in control of the eventualities.

Biggie obviously doesn’t support Conspiracy but, their Nominations have always been so distorted that it’s difficult to tell whether the decisions were based on personal vendettas or on eliminating theor percieved competition in the house.

While the #bbnaija housemates tryin to figure out who the competition is, they get to a certain pressure point, where it becomes difficult for them to tame and curtail their excesses. Analysing who the most competitive Housemates are in term of Task and reward-tagged challenges; hypothetically calculating who could be doing it for the viewers in terms of dodging the Eviction bullet and reading into the personalities that seem to fit the instances above and adjusting accordingly is to say the least, a daunting task.

The Housemates seem to have ignored this to a certain extent and based everything on how they felt in the moment.

While spontaneity is a good thing; the sooner the remaining nine #bbnaija Housemates stop depending on their personality flaws as reasons to be kept in the game and actually PLAY the game, the better for them in reaching for the prize.
