Southampton manager, Mark Hughes says he has top respect for Arsene Wenger, even if they have had their differences in the past.

A struggling Southampton travel to Emirates stadium, in need of a win to avoid relegation.

And despite their rivalries in the past, Hughes retains respect for Wenger, who failed to shake him when Arsenal lost 3-0 to his Manchester City team.

“He’s done a remarkable job. He’s an outstanding manager and has been for a huge number of years,” he said.

“I’m a manager as well so I know how difficult it is to have longevity in your career, and he trumps me by about 10-15 years, so he’s not doing bad.

“I’ve got the utmost respect for Arsene. Don’t get me wrong, he wants to win and so do I and sometimes we probably get a little bit silly, but there you go.

“[It is] not always on my instigation, by the way.”

Danilo Disappointed City Lost To Long Balls

Featured Image

Manchester City defender, Danilo has bemoaned losing to long balls, after a 3-2 derby defeat on Saturday.

Victory for City against United would have sealed the title for Guardiola, but Mourinho halted the party.

City went into the break 2-0 up, but could have scored more, as Sterling missed two clear cut chances.

After the break, Pogba was in stunning form netting two goals in quick succession, before Smalling sealed the comeback.

As Tuesday looms near, Danilo wants to avoid losing to long balls.

“There’s a feeling of sadness and disappointment because we played really well,” he told the club’s official website. “But we must turn the page as soon as possible because we have another big challenge on Tuesday.

“I could tell you many reasons why we didn’t win. At the end of the day, they scored three goals and we scored two, and that’s what counts. We win together and we lose together.

“If you analyse the game, we had the ball possession, we had the control, they just used the long balls and scored three goals. We played the same way we have all season, we keep the same level of performance, but today it didn’t work.

“We have to focus on what we did wrong and we must improve, but we mustn’t forget what we did all season.”

Jupp Heynckes has hailed veteran wingers, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, after inspiring a sixth consecutive title.

Robben scored the third goal in the 4-1 win over Augsburg, before he was substituted in the 83rd minute.

Ribery had been introduced prior to that from the bench.

“It was an act of recognition on my part, because these are players that play for FC Bayern for nine and 10 years respectively,” said Heynckes, whose side host Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, having won the first clash 2-1.

“Where does this happen these days? They are both great professionals with outstanding quality, too.

“[They] are as professional as only a few players that I’ve worked with, so this was a tribute for them both.

“We have to play Champions League on Wednesday, then Monchengladbach at home, then we have to play at Leverkusen on Tuesday and on Saturday we meet Hannover, I think.

“After that, I hope we play the semi-final of the Champions League. That’s a lot, so I want us to keep our energy. That’s why he [Ribery] didn’t play from the beginning.”

How I Coped With Childlessness 8 Years After Marriage – Rapper, Ill Bliss Reveals

Ace Nigerian rapper IllBliss, has revealed how he was able to cope for with challenges of childlessness for eight years in marriage.

The rapper who welcomed his new daughter recently spoke about it for the first time with Saturday Beats.

Excited Ill Bliss described himself as a ‘testimony’, he pointed out that eight years of waiting for the fruit of the womb was one of the toughest periods for him and his wife.

He said;

“It was the most trying time of our lives as a couple, but we never had doubts about having a baby. We were only concerned about when we would have the baby. We waited, kept praying and stayed focused.

I don’t know where I got the strength from, to be honest. I see couples that are under pressure to have a child after six months of marriage and they are worried. I waited for eight years and some months. My daughter turned nine months old this week.

It is awesome and amazing to watch her grow. I am a testimony of God’s goodness. If God could do it for me after eight years, he can do it for anyone looking for a child. The experience brought me closer to God,” he said.

The rapper went on to describe how lucky he was that he didn’t face any pressure from his parents and in-laws but naturally it occasionally occurred to him that he had no child.

“I am very lucky with the kind of parents and in-laws I have. They all supported us and kept praying for us. They kept advising us never to panic, that the kids were coming, so there was no pressure from their side.

Naturally, as a person, I sometimes fell under that pressure that I was not a father yet but a lot of people did not even know my situation because I was always around children. I have relatives who have kids and I was always playing with their children because we are one big happy family. Everybody just kept praying till it happened. Nobody knew I did not have a child for eight years.”
