Sarkodie is the reason I’m still in Ghana – Klenzen

Featured Image

Undoubtedly Sarkodie appears to be the biggest music export in Ghana, having so many local and international records and being able to maintain the “Highest” spot for years makes him one of the greatest musicians in Africa in our time.

Ghanaian based Nigerian singer Klenzen has finally revealed to Black Legendary TV his intentions of coming to Ghana.

When many of us thought he is here for studio sessions, media tour and other connects, Klenzen said he came purposely to collaborate with Sarkodie

Factually speaking, most intentional musicians do fly down here purposely for studio sessions with Sarkodie and a typical example was when the “Mad Over You” singer, Runtown visited Ghana months ago, which later resulted in a collaboration between himself and Sarkodie.

When asked if his intentions on getting the “Highest” rapper so far has come to pass, Klenzen reveals things are going in the positive direction so far.

Many might not know who Klenzen is, but someone who has been working with multiple award winning Nigerian producer, Masterkraft for years, we think there is a chance he and Sarkodie will have a joint soon.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 78: Biggie Overrules Housemates To Make Cee-C Head Of House

Featured Image

Regardless of the outcome of the #bbnaija Finale, it looks like Alex and Cee-C are not ready to bulge an inch from their longstanding rancour.

As the last five Housemates standing in the Double Wahala House, and given thay all had taken a turn in the Head of House Chair, it was suggested that Cee-C be given the chance, at last, to have a taste of the coveted role.

While suggestions for her appointment were made in a rather casual way, Alex had no intention to keep her feelings under wraps. She requested the #bbnaija Housemates pass a Vote and indicated her opposition to Cee-C becoming the last Head of House.

If there’s one thing Alex can be counted on, it is to tell it like it is, without sugar-coating it, and it was no different on the day. She had earlier confessed to Tobi wanting to slap Cee-C to reset her brain but the possibility of Biggie issuing her with a Strike prevented her from doing so.

Cee-C on her end is not entirely blameless to say the least. From the start of the game, she had made no attempt at hiding her contempt for Alex – and if prompted to, Cee-C’s eyelashes could even testify in Alex’s favour.

Judging by the constant frown on her face since Cee-C’s surprise return to the #bbnaija House following the last Eviction Show, Cee-C has a lot of emotions bottled up about Alex too. However with no shoulder to lean on in the House, Cee-C has had to refrain from airing them.

By general consensus, and for the sake of peace, Nina stepped into the Head of House role with gusto for the very last time.

The run-up to the Finale has suddenly taken a more torturous meaning altogether. Biggie decided to intervene and set the #bbnaija Housemates straight about Cee-C. Biggie told them that the Housemate with the least Head of House record should be the new leader.

Against all odds, Cee-C was imposed upon the House, to everyone’s bitter surprise.

INEC Swears In Seven New Resident Commissioners

Featured Image

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has sworn in seven new Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) bringing the total number of serving RECs in the commission to 33.

The new RECs are: Baba Yusuf and Segun Agbaje, representing Borno and Ekiti states for second term.

Others are Uthman Ajidagba, Kwara; Yahaya Bello, Nasarawa State; Emmanuel Hart, Rivers; Mohammed Ibrahim, Gombe and Cyril Omorogbe, Edo.

Performing the ceremony on Tuesday in Abuja, INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, expressed confidence that the new RECs would contribute to the commission’s determination to make 2019 general elections the best in the country.

He said “with the track records of service in the academia, public service and private sector, it is gratifying to note that the new RECs made positive contributions to the society in various ways.

“I am equally delighted to note that some of you have managed elections at national level as RECs.

“I am confident that you will bring to bear on your new assignments, the experience of the recent past that will contribute to our determination to make the 2019 general elections our best elections in Nigeria.”

Mr Yakubu advised the new commissioners to maintain openness and consultations, as well as be firm and courageous in carrying out their new assignments.

The chairman disclosed that in addition to the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, the commission would be conducting four bye-elections this year to fill vacancies.

These, according to him, include Takum state constituency in Taraba, Lokoja/Koton-Karfe Federal Constituency in Kogi, Bauchi South Senatorial District, and Kastina North Senatorial District in Kastina State.

The INEC boss reassured newly registered voters in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) of getting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) before the 2019 general elections.

He added that “we have consistently reassured the public that for those who registered in 2017, their PVCs would be available for collection in the first week of May 2018.

“Those who registered in the first quarter of this year, that is between January and March, as well as those who are registering right now in the second quarter of this year, would collect their cards thereafter.”

Mr Yakubu also reassured the public and those who applied for replacement of their PVCs that their cards would be available for collection before the 2019 general elections.

“For those who registered in Ekiti and Osun in 2017 and 2018, priority attention was given to the production of their PVCs, such that all the cards would be available ahead of the July 14 and Sept. 22 governorship elections,’’ he said.

Responding on behalf of the new RECs, Segun Agbaje, representing Ekiti State, pledged the new commissioner’s readiness to justify the confidence reposed in them.

He said “by the grace of God, we shall finish well.”

He expressed confidence in the leadership of Yakubu, saying “with your style of leadership, we would not be surprised if 2019 elections turned out to be the best elections in the country.”

#BBNaija 2018 Day 78: Tears As The House Gets Colder For Cee-C

Featured Image

With only six days to go before the eagerly anticipated #BBNaija Finale, some of the Housemates are feeling the heat more than others. One Housemate in particular, seems to be feeling it more than the others.

Since Day 1, Cee-C has clashed with a number of her fellow #bbnaija Housemates and it seems the time for reckoning is here. From fiery fights over food, to full on fall-outs with love interests, Cee-Cee’s journey has been as colourful as they come.

However, as the number of housemates continue to dwindle courtesy of Evictions week after week, so have her allies.

Last night, Lolu, Anto and Khloe were evicted from the #bbnaija house, leaving Cee-C to “roll solo”. As soon as she walked back into the House after the Eviction Show last night, Nina, Miracle, Alex and Tobi looked shell-shocked, possibly because they thought she had been sent packing, and her entrance set the stage for awkward interactions.

Sharing the House with the biggest alliance of the season, plus Nina will not be easy. It’s no secret that Alex and Tobi are joined at the hip. On any given day, you will find them whispering in bed and laughing up a storm.

Tobi and Cee-C were the first romantic alliance of the season, but unfortunately when that relationship disintegrated, it imploded with such force, a friendship was totally out of the question. Despite many attempts to make peace, Tobi and Cee-C remain estranged.

Miracle and Nina on the other hand, are always wrapped up in each other, so any chance of third wheeling is out of the question. Even though the two lovebirds are friendly towards her, most of their free time is without a doubt spent with Alex and Tobi.

This leaves are to trudge along alone for the remaining days in the #bbnaija house but it should definitely be worth it if she walks away with the grand prize.

Kendrick Lamar Makes History As First Rapper To Win Pulitzer Prize For Music

Featured Image

Prominent US rapper Kendrick Lamar has given hip-hop an unexpected moment of institutional critical acclaim, taking out the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his 2017 album ‘DAMN.’.

“DAMN.,” Lamar’s third album, topped the Billboard 200 album charts for three weeks on its release last year.

DAMN. was awarded because the Pulitzer board characterized it as “a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.”

Pulitzer administrator Dana Canedy told the New York Times after announcing the award,

“The time was right. We are very proud of this selection. It means that the jury and the board judging system worked as it’s supposed to — the best work was awarded a Pulitzer Prize. It shines a light on hip-hop in a completely different way. This is a big moment for hip-hop music and a big moment for the Pulitzers.”

The Pulitzers, particularly the music category, have long focused on more traditional forms of artistic expression.

Rap is now officially the biggest music genre in the United States after surpassing rock in 2017.

Lamar’s fusion of jazz, poetry and blues with social themes and love songs has made him one of the most innovative rappers of his generation.

The prize was first awarded in the 1940s but it took until 1997 for a jazz winner to come along — Wynton Marsalis for his orotorio Blood on the Fields.

The previous four winners were classical or operatic, and this year Lamar beat out a string quartet work and a “five-movement cantata for chamber choir, electric guitar and percussion”.

A middle-aged commercial motorcyclist in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, has reportedly committed suicide after losing his motorbike in a bet over the result of a Champions League match.

The incident is said to have occurred in Oko-Erin area of the town after the return leg match between FC Barcelona of Spain and AS Roma of Italy – played in Italy last Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Ekene Ugwuanyi, 25, was reported to have engaged in a bet with another bettor, placing a motorcycle in his possession for the deed.

Ugwuanyi is said to have bet that Barcelona, having won 4-1 in the first leg played at Nou Camp, Spain, would win the return leg and get through to the semi-final of the championship.

However, AS Roma won 3-0, thereby, qualifying for the semi-final at the expense of Barcelona by virtue of away goals rule.

The outcome of the game made the deceased to lose the motorcycle to his opponent, who smiled home with the bike from the viewing centre immediately after the match.

The man was said to be downcast following the loss of the motorcycle.

While some sources said he used the motorcylce for commercial purposes and that it was his main source of livelihood others claimed it was someone else and not him that owns the bike and that he only had it in his custody on behalf of the owner.

It was learnt that not being able to recover from the trauma, the man resorted to committing suicide by hanging himself.

The Kwara State police command spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the suicide.

He said it was not in connection with match betting.

Okasanmi explained that report with him indicated that the man committed the suicide because of huge debt hanging on his neck, saying “the man was said to have incurred debt here and there.”

Buhari Approves Healthcare Intervention In Ogoni

Featured Image

President Muhammadu Buahri has approved further healthcare intervention in the communities of Ogoni, Rivers State, with the aim to alleviate the suffering of residents of the area following much exposure to oil pollution.

The approval was announced by the Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), Dr. Marvin Dekil, while speaking at Taabaa community during the flag-off ceremony.

Vanguard quoted Dekil as saying that President Buhari approved the health intervention to preserve lives in the area.

He said: “The success of the outreach programme got to President Buhari who was touched by the poor condition of the Ogoni people due to the degradation of their environment by oil exploration. “The president therefore, graciously approved another round of medical intervention to reach more people. That is the reason we are here today.

“We have brought with us medical personnel to drive the programme. We enjoin you to cooperate with them by providing your bio data. We will be in each local government area for four days. Two days for general consultations, dental and eye care, among other medical services, while the remaining two days are designated for surgical operations.”

The development is coming after the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP)  had pleaded with the people of Ogoni ethnic nationality in Rivers State to be patient with the HYPREP and the Federal Government as they work out modalities to clean up the devastated environment.

HYPREP had on Saturday flagged off an eight-day health outreach to attend to the health needs of the people of the area and obtain records which would help them in the data and analysis of ailments in the area, as contained in the United Nations Environmental report on Ogoniland.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 78: Housemates Charged With Role Play

Featured Image

The #bbnaija Housemates were informed on day 77 that they lost their wager but Big Brother has given them an opportunity to avoid starvation in their final week in the House.

Each remaining day in the #bbnaija house will produce a different challenge and unlike previously, the rewards will not be in the form of BBNairas or shopping privileges but will be whatever Biggie feels they deserve.

Their performances in the challenge will determine if they deserve a reward or not and day 78 saw them kick things off with a role playing task.

The #bbnaija Housemates were given a mystery hat to pick out names of the people they’d be impersonating and at the sound of the buzzer were required to start their roles.

Miracle picked out Joseph Yobo and has been with the ball since while Nina, Alex and Tobi had to impersonate other evicted #bbnaija Housemates.

In the first round, Nina had to impersonate Dee-One, Tobi had to pull an Ifu Innada which he mimicked from the accent to the walk while Alex had to imitate her former rival, Khloe.

Cee-C on the other hand refused to let others know of who she had picked and after a while asking her she decided to just be quiet and make herself something to eat.

However, Biggie clearly stated in the Brief that during the period of the challenge, the #bbnaija Housemates were not allowed to be quiey at any time for more than five minutes. Additionally, the brief also made it clear that Housemates are not allowed to have an alone time nor is sleeping permitted.

The task is supposed to bring the unity in the #bbnaija House and the Housemates are required to work together, but it seems that is asking for too much from them, if their actions are anything to go by.

All Said, Why Should I Vote Out Buhari?

Featured Image

All Said, Why Should I Vote Out Buhari? BY PETER CLAVER OPARAH

CLICK here to read more opinion articles

As 2019 approaches, those who brought Nigeria to its knees, vandalized and wrecked it and left it for dead before 2015 are busy trying to weave a comeback mantra that will help them access power once again in 2015 after a disastrous 16 years trauma that left Nigeria for dead.

This piece was written by Peter Claver Oparah. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 360Nobs.com.

They are being joined in this vain mission by those who thought the coming of Buhari would shift the looting tent to their side and as it never happened, they became bitter, inconsolable enemies of the regime. Also in the train are the confused ideologues who have good intentions initially but are so disoriented as to be captured by the pedestrian feel-good stories of a utopia which Buhari would have wrought even with the fact that he inherited the most austere economic realities.

They have massed together to lead an erroneous chorus that Nigerians should vote out Buhari in 2019. Sho? Some of us who have been assaulted by this perverse gospel have asked why we should vote out Buhari but we have gotten no convincing answer than a rehearse of a more perverse narration of how Buhari has turned Nigeria to a land of hunger and misery and how killings have been happening under Buhari? Is that so? When you prod further, what you get is a string of poorly articulated narration of how life was a seamless bread and butter affair in Nigeria before Buhari came. If you try to run some comparisons to prove this story, they tell you to forget the past and face the future.

Truth is that those who weave sordid stories to make Buhari look bad are so afraid to confront the past, which itself introduces a huge paradox to their badly-arranged stories. Can you face the present and the future without excursing into the past? To them, life should start from May 29, 2015 when Buhari took over from the scandalous regime they ran. That itself, is a cut-and-paste effort to manipulate. It is as fraudulent as the claim of these same people that they have repented (and you ask, repent from what?) and their more notorious request to be allowed back to power. They are so pathologically hunted by the past they created that they make every effort to shout down any person that refers them to the hell they presided over here for a whole 16 years. They want Nigerians to abridge their memories and senses and join them in voting out Buhari based on their micro-managed but hardly agreeing narratives, which sees Buhari as having failed. Some of them are even telling Nigerians that Buhari has proven not to be the solution to our problem.

Since we have an Eldorado they claimed they did here in 16 years, which other problems are they talking about? Which problems are they claiming they will offer solutions to when they brought down heaven on earth to Nigeria n their 16 messy years in power? PDP claimed they did beyond expectation so why are they apologizing and telling Nigerians of their readiness to be born-again rulers if given back power?

But then, the question remains; why should I and other Nigerians vote out Buhari and bring back the locusts? Should I vote Buhari out because he is meticulously rebuilding an economy that was eaten down and ran in red during a providential oil boom? Do I vote out Buhari because he is frantically building up our foreign reserve that was so badly vandalized when oil, our solo export product, went at over $120 a barrel and the country was exporting over 2.5million ever day? Do I vote out Buhari in 2019 because he is achieving this unbelievable feat at a period the oil price crashed to between $27 to $50 a barrel and our daily sale volume was cut to as low as below 700,000 barrels a day because those that lost their power to loot saw oil facilities as one of the sectors they must avenge their electoral defeat on? Do I vote out Buhari because at this very arid economic turn, he is making the highest investment in capital projects?

Do I vote out Buhari in 2019 because he has channeled all the money that would have used to service the gluttony and bacchanal greed of party men, cronies, hirelings, friends, subalterns, bed mates and party members of the party in power and its government to critical capital projects that will drive the Nigerian economy? Should I vote out Buhari because he adamantly refused to bow to the pressure to sustain the corruption omnibus and ensure Nigerians live straight and narrowly without stealing from the treasury? Do I vote out Buhari because he has taken up the nation’s decayed infrastructures and is fixing them in a way no other government has done in the past?

Do I vote out Buhari because he decided to implement strict monetary policies to save Nigeria’s resources from yam eaters, rodents and plunderers who are anchoring the noisome battle for his replacement? Do I vote out Buhari because the treasury raiders who looted a richly endowed country dry before he came feel that he should satisfy their senses of entitlement and continue abandoning the infrastructure that should drive our growth as a nation? Do I vote out Buhari because he has stopped evil servants from operating millions of phantom accounts through which they bleed the treasury while we collectively suffer? Do I vote out Buhari because the economy is no more about looting, plundering, sharing and stealing?

Should I vote out Buhari because he has insisted that he will neither chop nor allow pests to feast on our commonwealth? Should I vote out Buhari because he insists that Nigerian wealth must serve us all instead of a ravenous few? Do I vote out Buhari because in a period of austerity, he saved states that went bankrupt when we were having  oil boom and had made them solvent through prudent and honest management of our economy? Do I vote out Buhari in 2019 because he insists that Nigerians should work for what they earn? Should I vote out Buhari because he is fixing federal roads, the power sector, the energy sector in a way no government has done in the history of the country?

Do I vote out Buhari because he is no longer feeding corrupt-former leaders who not only looted Nigeria to the bones but insist on being serviced by what remains of the treasury? Do I vote out Buhari in 2019 because he is no longer pandering to the indecent corrupt interests of the legislature whose members are being ran ragged by frustration that they are no longer enjoying the bazaar as they used to do? Should I vote out Buhari because he is no longer deploying sacks of billions of Naira to bribe the legislature on sundry issues? Should I vote out Buhari because some of his party men who expected being spoon-fed from the national purse are disappointed he is not doing so? Do I vote out Buhari because those that stole the country to the bones and who thought they had escaped with their loot are being called by to return what they stole?

Do I vote out Buhari because the professional scavengers that flood around the seat of power with the hope of free-loading from our commonwealth have been made extinct? Do I vote out Buhari because he stopped the murderous escapades of Boko Haram that killed in tens of thousands, that took a huge size of Nigerian landmass and subjected the entire country to unrestrained attacks and untamed danger? So do I vote out Buhari because he is building the Second Niger Bridge for which past regimes duped my Igbo people? Do I vote out Buhari because he is building the enormous Mambilla Power Station which past governments played around with for decades without as much as turning the foundation soil on the project site?

Should I vote out Buhari because he is building massive railways across Nigeria? Should I vote out Buhari because he is meticulously building a viable economy from the rubble of the chaos he met on ground? Should I vote out Buhari because the vampires that wrecked the public treasury are angry and baying bare blood because, for the first time in the country’s history, they have lost access to the treasury? Do I vote out Buhari because the vampires that sucked life out of us especially in the fatal 16 years’ period before 2015 are wailing their eyes out and feigning hunger as an elaborate dubious project to take another injurious bite on us?

Do I vote out Buhari because he paid off trillions of Naira past governments owed contractors for contracts they used to enrich their members? Do I vote out Buhari because he paid off over N600 billion subsidy the past regime owed fuel importers and saved the energy industry from collapse? Do I vote out Buhari because he has rebuilt what remained of the four refineries that previous governments abandoned as  scraps? Do I vote out Buhari because he stopped the payment of fraudulent subsidy to phantom fuel importers as was the culture before he came? Do I vote out Buhari because sundry, corrupt interests are no longer being awarded fake contracts where they walk away with the contract monies without even visiting the project sites? Do I vote out Buhari because he paid off trillions of Naira owed pensioners in federal government ministries, parastatals and agencies during our unfortunate oil boom? Do I vote out Buhari for the trillions spent on the most ambitious social intervention scheme to rescue the most vulnerable in our society, which is the most elaborate any government has ever embarked in Nigeria?

Why should I vote out Buhari? Do I vote out Buhari because he has stopped the drainpipe of freaky importation of freebies that served as feeding bottle for corrupt politicians before he came? Do I vote out Buhari because he stopped the importation of foodstuffs and through this bold action, has made Nigeria a sustainable agricultural country where citizens feed themselves? Do I vote out Buhari because of the agricultural revolution he is doing in Nigeria, which has seen the country unravel as sustainable food producer from its recent past as a top food importer? Should I vote out Buhari because he has made politics a non-rewarding venture unlike in the past? Do I vote out Buhari because he had securely locked up our treasure box and restrained access to it to even his appointees and supporters? Do I vote out Buhari because he is strongly ranged against the gargantuan corruption complex from which most Nigerians eke out a living?

These are just few posers I want those that have launched a project to get Nigerians to turn against Buhari. I don’t know of any incoming leader but I make bold to say that President Buhari has done far more than any other President that ruled Nigeria. I am open to correction by any person that feels otherwise and this would be done through telling us any president that has done better by listing what such president did. So are these reasons why I should vote out Buhari? Make no mistake about it, the project to stop Buhari flows from no patriotic reasons but squarely on the reality that Buhari has capped official stealing and plundering. It is for the singular reason that Buhari has plugged our treasury from these leeches that he is making huge investment in growth-driving capital ventures even when we are going through difficult economic realities because the oil we have, over time, depended lazily on, has met turbulent times.

So, on what ground will I and millions of Nigerians that endured very desperate pressures in 2015 to vote out the moths and rodents, not vote in Buhari in 2019 to continue the good works he is doing? Is it because the looters and their accomplices that neigh the country’s treasury have weaved enough incoherent and contradictory lies against Buhari that I will dive into a fatal voyage in 2019? Is it because those that ate down our country are breathing enough vain fury? Is it that we are simple-indeed enough to be taken advantage of by desperadoes that want power for its corrupt ends? Is it that those who raped and pauperized us before 2015 are right in their feeling that we are a simple-minded and memory-challenged people as to fall for any silly prank Never! I see no reason why we should not vote more emphatically for Buhari in 2019; not based on who he is but on what he had done with the mandate we gave him in March 2015 and based on the fact that he is the most assured hand to deepen the recovery of Nigeria and the setting of a credible template for the growth of Nigeria.

Crisis Looms In Nigerian Hospitals As Health Workers Begin Indefinite Strike Today

Featured Image

Federal health workers under the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) have announced that it will on Tuesday (today) embark on an indefinite strike that certainly will paralyse activities in all health institutions across the country.

It is understood that the industrial action became necessary following the failure of the Federal Government to implement the agreement it reached with health workers last year.

“All federal government health institutions in Nigeria including federal medical centres, specialists’ hospitals, orthopedic hospitals, psychiatric hospitals among others will be the first to shut down. If the government allows the strike to continue after two weeks, all the states and local government health institutions will now join,” the National Vice Chairman of JOHESU, Ogbonna Chimela, told newsmen on Monday.

The members of JOHESU are hospital workers, including nurses and pharmacists, but excluding medical doctors and dentists.

Mr Chimela said the strike will commence from midnight on Tuesday.

Also confirming the strike action, the President of the Union, Josiah Biobelemoye, alleged that the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, had been treating the union members as slaves.

He said this when he led the union executive on a courtesy visit to  Jafaru Momoh, chief medical director of the National Hospital, Abuja.

He said the minister failed to implement the agreement reached by the union with the federal government on September 30, 2017, for upward adjustment of CONHESS.

Biobelemoye said the implementation of the agreement was supposed to begin five weeks after it was signed “as was done for medical doctors”.

He said JOHESU accounted for 95 percent of health sector workers in the country but regretted that the union’s demands were always taken for granted.

“We are committed to ensuring peace in the sector hence for the past three years we resisted strike but we should not be forced to withdraw the peace,” he said.

“Help us to tell government. All we are saying is equity, justice and peace.

“We love Nigerians and government should help us love Nigerians the more by doing the needful.”

#BBNaija 2018 Day 78: Nina Is The Last Head Of House For The Season

Featured Image

The remaining #bbnaija Housemates have unanimously chosen Nina as the new Head of House for the final week of season three of the show.

Unlike going into the Arena and playing a game of chance that eventually crowns the Head of House, Big brother asked the #bbnaija Housemates to choose from either a Housemates who’s had the least opportunity or the one who has the most experience in heading the House.

Cee-C, who’s never had the opportunity lead the #bbnaija house missed out on the opportunity when they decided to vote on it. Even though Miracle had put her name up, trying to be fair towards everyone, Alex disputed it and suggested it be put to a vote.

Alex’s reason for going against Cee-C were that she doesn’t ‘want drama’ in the #bbnaija house and ironically, Cee-C let the issue go to rest.

The #bbnaija Housemates joked about the Head of House duties saying it’s to change batteries but for someone who hasn’t experienced it, it would have been a chance.

However, the decision came and Nina graciously accepted the title and life in the House went back to how it was, where Alex and Tobi were laying down in the upstairs executive suite while Nina and Miracle on the other beds downstairs.

Cee-C on the other hand, who’s somehow been isolated from the rest, also seemed to find joy inwards as she went her separate way.

#BBNaija 2018 Day 78: The Last Five Housemates Party After The Evictions

Featured Image

obi, Alex, Miracle, Cee-C and Nina found themselves to be the lucky few who had survived the final Eviction that saw Khloe, Anto and Lolu leave the #bbnaija Double Wahala House.

Emotions were at the peak tonight as Nina and Alex couldn’t hold their tears back as the rivers of joy mixed with disbelief and gratitude flowed at having been Saved.

Upon realising they were heading for the Finale, Tobi, Miracle, Nina and Alex gathered around a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate their victory. They had barely started pouring the bubbly that Cee-C walked back through the doors, to her peers incredulous faces.

Cee-C had come back fronting an inscrutable face nonetheless exuding a certain arrogance as she seemed to take delight in the disappointment her return had caused the other #bbnaija housemates. Expectedly, she retreated to the garden area to savour her fate while talking to her fans and praying for strength.

Yet Biggie had more surprises for the remaining housemates in the #bbnaija House, as one by one, video messages recorded by friends and family emerged on the screen.

In the lounge, Tobi, Miracle, Cee-C, Nina and Alex were overwhelmed to see and hear messages from their loved ones. As Nina and Alex cried their eyes out, Tobi, Miracle and Cee-C jumped for joy in elation at the unexcted encouragements they received from home.

It said the recovery was sequel to a petition the commission received from complainants who alleged they invested in the company “advertised as an online investment that deals with buying and selling of gold bars”.

The statement quoted the petitioner as saying the company refused to pay them any dividend or their capital after “investing over a billion naira into the business”.

On receiving the petition, the EFCC invited the petitioners and through intelligence, arrested one Maxim Lobaty, a Russian(pictured), and two Nigerians: Austin Emenike and Dickson Nonso Onuchukwu in Lagos.

“The trio were subsequently conveyed to the Kano operational zone of the EFCC for further investigation,” the EFCC said.

“Swiss Golden was discovered through investigation to be a Ponzi scheme that was designed to defraud innocent victims of their hard earned money.

“After being drilled at the commission’s Kano zonal office, Maxim and his co-suspects consented to the refund of the investment. Subsequently, a total sum of N216,402,565.05 have now been recovered.”

“Investigation into the alleged fraud is still ongoing and all efforts are being made to recover the money involved and the alleged suspects be brought to justice.”

Monaco will consider offers for France international Thomas Lemar this summer. Previously a Liverpool and Arsenal transfer target, the 22-year-old was subject of a last-ditch offer from the Gunners in January but the club turned it down. (Telefoot)

Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has looked to cool reports Thomas Tuchel has already agreed to become coach next season, insisting no deal is done. The PSG owner did not completely rule out the possibility, however, pointing out Unai Emery is the current coach and will be until the end of the season. However, he failed to offer any further assurances on the Spaniard’s future. (beIN Sports)

Ousmane Dembele has denied suggestions he would be looking for a quick exit out of Barcelona this summer, insisting he will be staying with the club for a ‘very, very long time’. The France international has found it difficult to adapt this season, with injuries and lack of first-team opportunities key problems. (Telefoot)

Germany

Arturo Vidal could be on his way out of Bayern Munich this summer, with reports stating it’s more likely he will be sold than stay at the club. New Bayern boss Niko Kovac is keen on making some changes at the Bundesliga giants, and the news will alert Chelsea and Manchester United, who have long been linked with the Chile midfielder. (Kicker)

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim-Watzke says it was ‘clear’ Niko Kovac would become Bayern Munich’s new coach and that is why BVB did not move for the Eintracht Frankfurt boss themselves. Peter Stoger is unlikely to remain at the Westfalenstadion beyond the end of the season so a replacement must be sought. (SportBild)

Italy

Roma owner James Pallotta insists there is “zero chance” Liverpool transfer target Alisson will leave the club this summer. The Brazil goalkeeper was linked with a move to Anfield in January but Pallotta is adamant he will not leave the Stadio Olimpico. “I do not understand why people keep asking me this,” he said. “When we got him we thought he was a great goalkeeper and we also think that now. There are no chances that he will go away, I repeat, zero.” (Tuttomercato)

Javier Pastore has dropped a big hint he will leave PSG this summer, leaving the door open for a move away from the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions. Pastore, restricted to just 17 starts for PSG this season, has been heavily linked with a return to Italy with Inter’s name regularly mentioned as a potential destination. (Sport Mediaset)

Milan and Inter will battle it out this summer for Ajax forward David Neres. The 21-year-old winger has also interested Tottenham, but both Milan clubs are keen to steal a march. Milan have been watching Neres for some time, while Inter have doubts over the futures of Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic. The player would likely cost around £26m (€30m). (Calciomercato)

Spain

Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to renew Manchester United transfer target Samuel Umtiti’s deal, with the club and the France international’s agent making fresh contact. The centre-back is out of contract in 2021 and his release clause is £52m (€60m), a very attainable figure for most clubs. Sources participating in the talks are apparently more optimistic than ever following the latest meeting. (Mundo Deportivo)

A move for Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet is on the cards for Barcelona this summer, with the club having already reached out to representatives of the player. Lenglet’s performances this season have been of a high standard, with Real Madrid and several Premier League clubs also tracking his progress. Barca, however, are making the first moves and have urged the player not to sign a new deal which would see his release clause increase. (Sport)
