Joel Ward has signed a new three-year deal with Crystal Palace, to keep him at Selhurst Park until 2021.
Joel Ward has been with Crystal Palace since signing from Portsmouth in 2012, he has played 206 times for the Eagles and has played more Premier League games for Palace than any other player, with 163 appearances in the top flight to his name.
Ward, 28, who was part of Palace’s promotion-winning side in 2013, says he is delighted to have re-signed for another three years, having been out of contract with the club this summer.
“I’ve been here for six years now and this will take me just shy of a testimonial so I’m looking forward to what the future has in store,” he told Palace TV.
There’s been some fantastic moments; it’s been a great ride, and long may that continue.
“I wanted to stay here and be a part of it as I feel at home here, and it’s important for us to keep moving forward.
“I want to continue to play for this club and set that bar as high as I can. As long as I put the boots on, I’ll never stop trying to better myself and raise that bar.”
