Barcelona have announced that Andre Gomes will move on a season-long loan to Everton, with the Merseyside club agreeing to pay €2.25m for his temporary signature.
Andre Gomes has failed to establish himself in Barcelona’s midfield since joining from Valencia two years ago, making just 46 appearances in the league during that time.
His lack of any significant game time at Camp Nou resulted in his exclusion from Portugal’s World Cup squad this summer, just two years after he helped his country win the 2016 European Championships.
Everton also confirmed the signings of former Shakhtar Donetsk winger Bernard on a free transfer, alongside fellow Barcelona player Yerry Mina for £28.5m.
