Everton have finally completed the season-long loan of Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma on Friday, a day after the Premier League transfer window closed.
The deal sheet for the loan agreement was submitted to the Premier League before the 5 p.m. deadline on Thursday, giving both clubs extra time to finalise the details.
Kurt Zouma signed for Chelsea from Saint-Etienne for £12 million in January 2014 and quickly established himself as a regular under former manager Jose Mourinho until an ACL injury in Fabruary 2016 derailed his progress.
It took 11 months for Zouma to get back onto the pitch for Chelsea
He was loaned to Stoke the following summer and appeared in 34 Premier League games
“Kurt Zouma has joined Everton on loan until the end of the season,” the club signalled on their official website.
“Frenchman Zouma moves from Chelsea and joins Brazil midfielder Bernard, Barcelona trio Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne, Richarlison and Joao Virginia in arriving at Goodison in the summer transfer window.
“After making his debut as a 16-year-old for Saint-Étienne in his homeland, Zouma established himself at the heart of their defence for three seasons before moving to Chelsea.
“Capped twice by France, he lifted the League Cup under Jose Mourinho in 2015.”
