Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui recently met with Porto midfielder Hector Herrera at a hotel in Portugal, according to Diario AS.
Julen Lopetegui reportedly stayed at the luxurious Yeatman Hotel in Rua do Choupelo with his wife for a few days, where he is also said to have met with Hector Herrera, who is understood to be a good friend from his time coaching Porto.
Mexico international Herrera has entered into the last year of his contract with the Primeira Liga outfit and has no plans on renewing
Inter Milan made attempts to sign Hector Herrera during the summer but Porto president Pinto da Costa saw to it that he was kept by Porto.
Meanwhile other reports claims Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested.
The 28-year-old player, who is also Porto’s captain, is reported as having ambitions to play for a bigger club next year and Madrid could be the ideal destination.
