Popular rapper Kanye West may have discovered a new star, after spotting a homeless man’s talent while strolling down the streets of New York City into a recording studio on Saturday morning.

The homeless man, Nino Blu, was said to have spotted ‘Ye and promptly started spitting bars for him. Rather than walk away, ‘Ye patiently listened to him rap and smiled as he nodded his head.

According to videos posted on social media, ‘Ye encourages the man to introduce himself. It turns out his name is Nino Blu and he only recently became homeless due to the “crazy” guy he was living with at the time.

After hearing Nino Blu rap, West was said to have invited him inside the posh NYC recording studio.

Nino explains ‘Ye is bringing him into the studio because of his “good energy.” He refers to the entire experience as a “crazy ass miracle.” Before the clip ends, Nino encourages anyone else with a dream to keep going.

Kanye is getting ready for his performance on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live and the release of Yandhi, his second solo album this year.

Jose Mourinho Hails West Ham ‘Monster’ Issa Diop for ‘Dominating’ Manchester United

Featured Image

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho took a moment during his post-match press duties to praise West Ham’s recruitment team for finding centre back Issa Diop this summer, calling the France Under-21 star ‘a monster’.

The Red Devils fell to an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday

Diop, who was signed by West Ham for a £22m from Toulouse in the summer was a key part in a resolute defence on Saturday, allowing the visitors just four shots on target.

Personally Diop made two tackles and five clearances in the match, as well as dominating in the air. The 21-year-old’s display drew praise from the opposition manager.

“(Diop had a) fantastic match,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “Congratulations to the scout that found a 21-year-old kid Diop – a monster who dominated in the duels.”

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta Announces Decision To Leave The Club

Featured Image

Juventus CEO Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has announced he will he step down from his role at the head of the club at the end of next month

Beppe Marotta, 61,  joined Juventus from Sampdoria in 2010, has confirmed he will leave on October 25 at the end of his current contract. However, he ruled out any speculation that could run for the Italian FA (FIGC) presidency.

Following Juve’s 3-1 home win over Napoli on Saturday, he told Sky Sports, as quoted by Football Italia: “It has been a remarkable eight-year run, Juventus will always be in my heart.

“I want to announce this because a list of the directors will be released on Monday and my name won’t be on it. I thought it only right to anticipate and give that news before anyone tries to create a different version.

“I can categorically exclude the report I will be a candidate for the FIGC Presidency. That is not an experience that interests me.”

Marotta declined to say whether the decision was his or the clubs, adding: “We’ll explain in more detail later on, but this is what I felt the need to confirm right now. It is an emotional moment.”

In his tenure as head of the club’s footballing operations, Juventus have won seven Scudetti and twice reached the Champions League final

Rio Ferdinand Wants Manchester United Chiefs To Stop The Rot At The Club

Featured Image

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has called for a decision to be made to stop the “wars” within the club.

Manchester United’s rocky campaign continued on a negative trajectory at West Ham on Saturday, the home fans taunting them with ‘Oles’ as the Red Devils were well-beaten 3-1.

It comes on the back of other poor results and reports of unrest at the club, particularly between manager Jose Mourinho and key midfielder Paul Pogba.

The France international has had the vice-captaincy taken off him and many observers are claiming Mourinho may be suffering from the ‘third-season syndrome’ that has dogged his career.

Former United defender Ferdinand stopped short of saying Mourinho should go but did tell BT Sport: “It’s difficult to say that (it’s the end game) but I believe the powers that be have a decision to make.

“You can’t let a situation like this continue through the season, things leaking out in the press, little wars going on within the changing room that are creeping out and everyone finding out about it, players on one side maybe, Mourinho on the other.

“If that continues, it’ll be one of the worst seasons in the history of the club. Someone has to make a decision right now, bang, either someone goes… Something’s got to give.”

Paul Scholes, who shared so much success at United alongside Ferdinand under Sir Alex Ferguson, agrees, and also believes the players are falling short of the required mark.

“When you are watching that it feels like something is massively wrong,” he said.

“Is it the end for some players, is it the end for the manager, I don’t know. If it is the manager who goes, who’s available? Who’s going to get more out of the team. If they get a (Mauricio) Pochettino or (Zinedine) Zidane.. will the players liven up to that?”

Ferdinand added that Ferguson, one of football’s all-time greatest managers, would have taken action by now.

“Stability is key, here there seem to be mini-wars in the changing room, going above that,” he said.

“There’s mini wars within the camp. It has to be ironed out. Someone has to come in and say ‘get yourself together and sort it out’.

“Back in the day, Sir Alex would have sorted it out. If players stepped out of line, they’re were gone, (David) Beckham, (Roy) Keane, (Ruud) Van Nistelrooy, (Jaap) Stam.”

Popular rapper Nicki Minaj appears ready for her next big project – motherhood – as she revealed that she is ‘closer than people think’ to marriage and having a baby.

The 35-year-old rapper, who has recently been at the centre of speculation she might have struck up a romance with F1 star, Lewis Hamilton, 33, made this known when she spoke with Wonderland Magazine.

Nicki shared her love for children and her desire to have some of her own sooner than some might expect.

“I’ve got to get married first then I’ll have a child. I might be closer than people think actually, I love children. I’m not going to put that off for much longer.”

The “Anaconda” artist had previously expressed how happy she was to be single. She credited celibacy as the creative fuel that culminated into the creation of her last studio album, Queen.

“Becoming single was one of the things that made me feel strong and powerful. The fact that I am a young woman who doesn’t need a man for money. I don’t need a man for a job. Eden Hazard Discusses His Future At Chelsea Football CClub

Featured Image

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has revealed that he is open to signing a new contract with The Blues but suggested that he will be happy regardless of whether he stays or leaves the club for a new destination.

With two years remaining on Eden Hazard’s deal, Chelsea could be vulnerable to losing their prized asset, who has regularly been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Hazard, though, has indicated that he could be persuaded to stay with the Blues for the foreseeable future.

“I’m happy here,” the striker told BT Sport, adding: “The new manager has come in and we’re enjoying playing with him. So, I think to stay was the right decision.

“I am with Chelsea for now. I have two years left on my contract. I can sign a new deal – but maybe not. I don’t know.

“In my mind, what is important is the next game. That is Liverpool, and then we will see what happens.”

Asked if he could see himself finishing his career with Chelsea, Hazard replied: “Yes. For sure.

“But the possibility is also that, in one or two years, I might leave.

“I like the club and I like the city. The fans, they love me. And my team-mates, I think they love me also!

“So, for me, it is easy to stay. But like I say, if I leave or if I stay, I will be happy. This club is now part of my life. We will see.”

Eden Hazard Retires Sliding Celebration, Claims His Knees Are On Fire

Featured Image

Eden Hazard has ruled out anymore sliding goal celebrations after scoring

Eden Hazard has been in sensational form this season, scoring six goals in seven games, but the increased return appears to be taking its toll on his body.

Hazard’s latest strike, the winning goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup earlier this week, was his best yet and will surely be a contender for goal of the season come its conclusion in May.

“Look, look, the celebration – the sliding knee,” Hazard said to Chelsea TV, pointing towards his bruised legs. “I need to stop this.

“My knees – they are on fire! No more of this celebration.”

Hazard’s solo goal against Liverpool ranks among his best for Chelsea.

And the attacker tried to explain why he so often finds himself scoring after performing a mazy run.

“If I see that I have no solution, I just go on my own,” he added.

“So, in my mind, it is just to make the right decision.”

READ: Full Transcript Of Unai Emery’s Press Conference After Arsenal’s Victory Over Watford

Featured Image

Arsenal secured their fifth successive victory in the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Watford in Saturday’s clash at the Emirates Stadium. Here’s everything Unai Emery said after the game

On the win

They [Watford] are an organised team, very competitive with very good players.

We knew before the match it would be difficult. We needed to be competitive in the moment with Deeney, we needed to defend well with him on the second action.

The ball was near our box a lot, the rhythm of the match was not as quick we wanted.

I think our players in the first half were a little nervous. We need to continue to be calm. At half-time, we spoke about improving things on the pitch with our positioning.

Our moments arrived in the second half and we showed efficiency to score.

On what he was thinking late on when it was still 0-0

I wanted to win. My ideas were about how we could change.

We needed players on the bench who were hungry to help the team. First, Leno is working every day for his moment to help us, today he did that.

And Danny [Welbeck] and Alex Iwobi helped us with their pushing moments and quality. I am very happy for the team, for the squad.

Each match is very important for us for confidence and continuing to create our ideas and style.

On Cech’s injury

I don’t know now, tomorrow I know more. Maybe it’s two or three weeks, it’s muscular (hamstring).

On Arsenal winning games in the second half

At the moment it’s OK if we win.

We need more control for 90 minutes. I think the first half is not easy, but defensively we were good and the best chance was for Lacazette.

The second half we scored two goals, but we conceded good chances for them. We need to continue to improve with possession and positioning.

But here, each match is very difficult in the Premier League.

On Bernd Leno

He is working very well with the goalkeeping coaches.

I spoke with him and said the most important thing is when the team needs him to help us, to be prepared.

He did that on Wednesday and today also – and against Vorskla.

We have three very good goalkeepers. Petr Cech, his performances for us have been very important and his experience. Leno can learn by staying near with Petr Cech every day.

I am very happy with him. He has waited for his moment and it’s arriving.

On Alex Iwobi

He is working well every day.

Three weeks ago he was outside the team because he had an injury.

I am very happy with him because of his mentality. He can play right or left, maybe he can do more one on one. Also, I want him to stay nearer the box to score and finding assists for his teammates.

This is the way for him.

On Ramsey being upset after being taken off

I want a competitive spirit.

When the players want to play every moment to help the team, I want this to help with his character for the team.

FIFA Puskas Award: Mohamed Salah’s Goal Was Good But Mine Was Better -Cristiano Ronaldo

Featured Image

Cristiano Ronaldo believes that his bicycle-kick goal Vs Juventus was more deserving of FIFA’s Puskas Award than Mohamed Salah’s strike against Everton

Mohamed Salah was a surprising winner of this week’s award for his solo goal against Everton in December, seeing off competition from Ronaldo’s acrobatic attempt for Real Madrid against current club Juventus.

Ronaldo was impressed by the quality Salah’s goal but still believes that he should have come out on top in the public vote for the annual accolade.

“Salah, it was a good goal. My goal in reverse, we’re serious,” he said on Instagram. “Bicycle kick, my goal. Was an amazing goal, come on guys. Should be honest, don’t lie to yourself.

“Of course my goal was the best. Ah, I’m not pissed. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I’ve maintained my level for 15 years. I’m happy.”

Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives says discussing Paul Pogba doesn’t do “anyone any favours”. The French star was heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou in the summer and remains a target for the La Liga champions. (Sport)

Milan Skriniar is on Barcelona’s radar and the club met with the Inter Milan defender’s representative at the end of last season. Barca are keen to land a right-sided centre-back next summer and also maintain an interest in Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt. (Mundo Deportivo)

Barcelona have been dealt a blow with the news defender Samuel Umtiti may miss several months of the season due to a knee ligament injury. The World Cup winner’s absence will leave Ernesto Valverde with just three senior central defenders; Gerard Piqué, Clément Lenglet and Thomas Vermaelen. (AS)

Diego Costa says his departure from Chelsea in the summer of 2017 was not his fault and believes he made a mistake moving to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid. “People said things, but time puts everything in its place. Look where the coach is, look at (Antonio) Conte. I was wrong going to Chelsea because of their way of dealing with things.” (Marca)

Costa also admits he would like to play with Cesc Fabregas again, but says he has not asked Diego Simeone or Atleti to sign the Spanish midfielder. “If I could take Cesc, I would take him. I had a great connection with him. He gave me life, but I didn’t mention anything to the coach.” (Marca)

Should AC Milan decide to sack Gennaro Gattuso then the club’s first-choice replacement is former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. However, his legal battle with the Blues for unfair dismissal could make his appointment difficult. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Juventus star Paulo Dybala says he is lucky to be the only player in the world who can learn from both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The attacker has played alongside Messi with Argentina while Ronaldo arrived in Turin in the summer. “I am the only one in the world who gets to play with and learn from both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. There are no differences between them, as they are both phenomenal.” (Corriere della Sera)

Goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon believes “the only real talent of Italian football” is Paris Saint-Germain teammate Marco Verratti. “Marco is an incredible player, at this moment he’s the only real talent of Italian football in terms of how he plays the game, the quality of his touch and the way he sees the game.” (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen’s fine displays this season has led to interest from Borussia Dortmund and Monaco. The 22-year-old Danish defender is currently valued at around €25m but that price-tag may have increased by January. (Calcio Mercato)

Genoa star Krzysztof Piatek is a target for Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga champions face competition from several sides across Europe who are also monitoring his progress. The striker has been in excellent form this term, scoring 10 goals in six games after signing from Cracovia Krakow in the summer. (Bild)

Bayern Munich are also interested in former Newcastle United winger Florian Thauvin, who has become one of the most feared wide players in Europe. The 25-year-old has six goals and three assists in eight games this term and would cost a fee of around €80m. (Ouest France)

Enzo Zidane has explained why he left Real Madrid in January. The son of Zinedine made just one appearance for the Spanish giants, in which he scored, but moved to Swiss club FC Lausanne-Sport in January. He is now on loan with Spanish second-tier side Rayo Majadahonda. “It is very difficult to reach the first team by all the players there are,” he said. “In addition, I needed to discover different things and people.” (L’Equipe)

Jorginho: Hazard Is The Best I’ve Played With

Featured Image

Chelsea’s midfield marshal, Jorginho has hailed Eden Hazard as the best player he has played with up until this point in his career.

The Italian midfielder switched from Napoli to Chelsea in the off-season, following coach Maurizio Sarri to the Stamford Bridge.

Hazard has impressed for the Blues so far this season, with his stunning solo goal against Liverpool in midweek raising his stock between his teammates.

The Blues midfielder, who arrived in west London from Napoli over the summer, told the club’s official website: “Eden Hazard is someone who every time he touches the ball you feel he’s going to score or pull off an amazing move.

“He’s different to the rest, he has incredible potential and undoubtedly he’s the best player I’ve played with up until this point.

“He’s somebody who can decide a match on his own, he can create something out of absolutely nothing and that gives his team-mates a lot of confidence to give him the ball and to trust him.”

Jorginho added: “My position is one that brings balance to the team.

“It’s a position where I’m always playing with one or two touches and I keep the rhythm of the play going.

“It’s about being able to unite defence with attack so the distances between those two blocks are not too far and we keep that compact shape so that we can play with the ball on the floor like the manager wants.

“Before I receive the ball I already know how that play is developing so I’m able to give rhythm to that play. I’m always looking to know what I’m going to do before I receive the ball in order to make my team play better.”

Neuer Blames Defeat On Lack Of Concentration

Featured Image

Manuel Neuer believes a lapse in concentration in the first half, is the key reason they lost 2-0 to Hertha Berlin.

Bayern Munich were shocked by the hosts, following an underwhelming midweek 1-1 draw against Augsburg.

Ibisevic opened the scoring for Hertha from the spot, before a close range finish from Duda condemned Bayern to their first loss. And Neuer has blamed their lack of concentration before the break for the loss.

“We were not 100 per cent present in the first half,” he told reporters after the game.

“The issue of missing opportunities remains a big one – this was the case again [against Hertha]. We were optimistic at half-time that we could still turn it around.

“In the Champions League everything is possible because we won the first game [against Benfica].

“We are all professional enough and know what football is like.”

Mourinho Woes Deepen As West Ham Humble Manchester United

Mourinho Woes Deepen As West Ham Humble Manchester United

Manchester United’s dire week ended in a damaging 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham on Saturday as Jose Mourinho failed to arrest a growing sense of crisis surrounding the club.

United, who kicked off eight points behind leaders Liverpool, already look out of the Premier League title race and a rift between the manager and Paul Pogba is overshadowing events on the pitch.

West Ham had only won one of their previous 19 Premier League matches against United but an early strike from Felipe Anderson and a Victor Lindelof own goal shortly before half-time left the disjointed visitors with a mountain to climb.

United pulled a goal back through Marcus Rashford in the second half but Marko Arnautovic restored the two-goal cushion for West Ham minutes later.

Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard were not in the matchday squad as Mourinho brought in Scott McTominay to play alongside Chris Smalling and Lindelof in a back three, leaving United short of attacking flair.

West Ham, brimful of confidence following recent results, brought back top-scorer Arnautovic following an injury.

The home side dominated the opening minutes of the contest as United failed to find any rhythm in attack and looked shaky at the back.

West Ham were rewarded on five minutes, when Mark Noble slid in Pablo Zabaleta down the right and the Argentine crossed for Anderson to flick the ball brilliantly past David de Gea with his heel.

United continued to labour but came agonisingly close to an equaliser midway through the half when Romelu Lukaku headed against the outside of the post after an inviting cross from Ashley Young.

– United struggles –

They started seeing more of the ball but still struggled to create any meaningful chances and were punished just before half-time when a Andriy Yarmolenko shot looped into the net off Lindelof for an own goal.

Mourinho threw on Rashford shortly before the hour-mark and went close to pulling a goal back when Marouane Fellaini, operating in forward role, powered a header downward only to see Lukasz Fabianski pull off a fine stop.

Mourinho made a double substitution with about 20 minutes left on the clock, bringing off Pogba — to a chorus of jeers from the home fans — and Anthony Martial. Fred and Juan Mata were sent on to perform a rescue act.

Within seconds they had pulled a goal back, when Rashford flicked home a Luke Shaw corner.

But the sense of hope did not last long as Arnautovic held his nerve to steer the ball past De Gea after a through ball from West Ham captain Mark Noble.

All eyes at the London Stadium were on Pogba after the French World Cup winner was stripped of the vice-captaincy before a League Cup defeat to Championship side Derby.

The following day Pogba was involved in a terse exchange with Mourinho on the training pitch, further evidence that the relationship between the pair is at breaking point.

The win for West Ham is a further sign Manuel Pellegrini’s side have turned the corner after they started the season with four straight defeats in the Premier League.

The victory against United follows an away win against Everton and last week’s hard-earned draw against Chelsea.

Buhari Blames Foreigners For Corruption In Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has alleged that some international collaborators were hiding in secret jurisdictions to encourage corruption.

This is based on a statement issued on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, when the President spoke during a forum tagged, High-Level Roundtable on Corruption, Migration, Bridging Africa’s Infrastructural Gap for Sustainable Development at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The forum was organised by the New Partnership for Africa Development/the African Peer Review Mechanism.

Buhari said checking the menace of corruption would create major sources of funding for developmental programmes and projects for African economies.

He expressed regret that huge amounts of funds were still being squirreled out of the continent.

He said, “It is still worrisome considering that billions of dollars, great talents and professionals are continually drained out of the continent through various corrupt activities thus causing poor investment inflows, undermining the rule of law, stifling trade, worsening macro-economic conditions and escalating level of poverty in our countries.

“These detestable practices are being perpetrated by some international collaborators hiding in secret jurisdictions.”

Buhari, however, expressed delight that efforts are being made by African leaders to ensure greater transparency and accountability in government business, fostering regional integration as well as creating enabling environment for the youth.

He added, “We must adopt laws, regulations and policies that encourage transparent financial transactions, youth and women’s empowerment programmes as well as establishing good infrastructural links among member states towards sanitising the continent of these ills.”

The minister of women affairs, Aisha Alhassan, has written a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, explaining why she is not qualified to remain a minister in an All Progressives Congress (APC) government that denied her the opportunity to contest governorship election in Taraba state.

The national working committee of the APC had declared her ineligible to contest the governorship primary election scheduled for Sunday.

Its national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, had said she was disqualified from the race for anti-party activities.

But Alhassan said the reason for her disqualification has not been communicated to her up till the moment she wrote her letter of resignation from the government.

“Up to the time of writing this letter, no reason is given by the party for my disqualification to contest election under the APC,” she wrote.

In the letter dated September 29, Alhassan thanked Buhari for giving her the opportunity to serve but said she chose to quit over what she described as “grave injustice”.

Here is her letter:

I write with a lot of respect to inform Mr President of my decision to resign my appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Your Excellency may wish to recall that I joined the APC in 2014 along with other members of the then new PDP, contested the 2015 governorship election as the flag bearer of the APC and to the Glory of God, you graciously nominated to be a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Your Excellency Mr President may wish to be reminded that I went through all the screening processes (security, medical and national assembly) as required by constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after which I was cleared and approved as fit and proper for appointment as minister. Mr President, you therefore graciously appointed and swore me in as minister in November 2015.

Mr President may also wish to recall that I wrote to notify you of my intention to again contest for governor of my state in forthcoming 2019 election under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and you again graciously blessed my intention and wished me well through a letter personally signed by Mr President which I appreciate and will forever cherish.

Sir, I purchased the APC nomination forms and went for the party’s screening on Thursday, the 20th of September 2018 along with ten (10) other contestants for the governorship of my state, Taraba. I, with your permission, proceeded to Taraba on the 23rd of September 2018, to prepare for the presidential and governorship primaries then scheduled for the 25th and 29th of September 2018 respectively.

While preparing for the primaries in Jalingo, I received with the shock and dismay that I was disqualified and not cleared to contest for the 2019 governorship by the National Working Committee of the party (APC). No reason was given for my disqualification.

Mr President may wish to be also informed that I had always been a very committed and loyal party member and was at no time queried or admonished for any wrongdoing or unconstitutional behaviour. Up to the time of writing this letter, no reason is given by the party for my disqualification to contest election under the APC.

It is for the above reasons sir, that I feel grave injustice was done to me by the party (APC), therefore my decision to leave the party and also resign my appointment as minister. If I am not qualified to contest election in the APC, I feel I am also not qualified to remain a minister in an APC government.

May I at this point thank, appreciate and express my profound gratitude to Mr President for the honour, rare privilege and lifetime opportunity you gave me to serve under your great and credible leadership. I learnt a lot (especially patience) under your leadership. Working with you in the last almost three years was great and has immensely improved my leadership quality, I will remain forever grateful for that, sir.

May I also use this opportunity to thank his Excellency, the Vice President, from whom I have also learnt a lot and my colleagues, other members of the Federal Executive Council, the SGF and cabinet office staff for their fellowship and support to me both as minister and personally. May God Almighty reward them all, Amen.

While wishing Mr President continued good health and thanking you again for the opportunity given to me, please accept sir, the assurances of my best wishes always and absolute loyalty to you as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you Sir.

Barnes: Ridiculous To Call Salah A One Season Wonder

Featured Image

John Barnes has branded talks of Mohamed Salah being a one season wonder  as ridiculous, even if he fails to score 40 goals this season.

Salah was impressive last season for the Reds, winning the PFA Player of the Year and earning a FIFA The Best nomination.

However, he has started the season slow, netting only three goals in the league so far.

With that in mind, club legend Barnes has told the Daily Star on the talk of Salah’s standards slipping: “Salah’s been fine.

“I mean he hasn’t obviously scored as many goals as he did last year, but I never expected him to.

“Because I don’t think Salah is regularly going to be scoring 40 goals a season as easy as he did last year.

“But if he can be part of a team who has won seven games in a row, as much as he hasn’t scored all the goals, then that’s fine, he’s doing equally as well.

“That’s much more important for him to do that than for him to be scoring lots of goals and us not to be winning.

“So as much as individually people may think he’s not doing as well as he did last year, he’s part of a team and helping out the team to be better than they were last year.

“It depends what you call a one-season wonder.

“If he doesn’t score 40-odd goals this year and that means that he’s a one-season wonder, that’s ridiculous.

“Because if he only scores 20 goals which means he hasn’t done as well but will win the league, that’s even better.

“So maybe in terms of scoring 40-odd goals, but not in terms of being effective and helping the team to be even better this year than they were last year.”

Klopp Could Risk Van Dijk Against Chelsea

Featured Image

Jurgen Klopp has stated he is contemplating on playing Virgil Van Dijk against Chelsea, despite the small knock the defender has sustained.

The Belgium international missed the midweek cup loss to the same opponent, with the centre back nursing a rib injury.

However, with Liverpool’s perfect record on the line, Klopp could risk the defender for their trip to Stamford Bridge.

“I will decide if he plays. If the player goes out and says, ‘No chance’, then I cannot decide, but in all other situations I will decide,” Klopp said.

“Virgil will try everything to be ready and I know how this sounds but as long as you are not seriously injured, like something broken or ruptured or a proper strain, then the boys play constantly with pain.

“And if you have no pain before the game then you will have it after the first challenge. That is how football is.

“It is important how you deal with the pain and how strong is the pain, but if he is able to deal with it then he can play.”

Kovac Unpertubed By Bayern Munich’s First Loss

Featured Image

Niko Kovac believes there is little cause to panic, after his side lost their first game of the season to Hertha Berlin.

Ibisevic opened the scoring from the spot, before Duda made sure of the win with a close range finish.

Bayern’s last game was an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Augsburg, but Kovac sees no reason to be worried.

“Not only did we not take our chances but we conceded two avoidable goals. That must not happen,” the Bayern boss told reporters.

“For the second goal we made a tactical mistake. Mistakes happen, but if you make them in the Bundesliga you will be punished.

“I thought we played a decent game overall, but the result makes it difficult to justify that. We combined well and controlled the game but we just didn’t take our chances.

“[Losing] is not a problem at all. Those who know Bayern know we will not put up with it easily.”

The result ended a run of 14 league meetings without a win for Hertha against Bayern.
