There are reports that popular Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji earned $3.8 million (N1,385,100,000) after Netflix bought her movie Lionheart.

While the movie is currently being streamed on Netflix and has been praised by many, Nigerian Guardian reports that the the screen goddess has become Nollywood’s first billionaire as “Netflix buys Lion Heart for N1,385,100,000($3.8 million).”

Having enjoyed over two decades as one of the most popular and successful actresses in the country’s industry, the actress recently made history with the movie.

The film, which debuted on Netflix On January 4, became the streaming giant’s first original film from Nigeria after Netflix purchased the worldwide rights in September.
