GoFundMe by Reggie Bush shut down by Nipsey Hussle family and friends

Featured Image
Bush Thought he was probably  doing the right thing when he decided to set up a GoFundMe to benefit Nipsey Hussle’s kids after the rapper and community activist was killed.

A kind gesture however, sometimes needs approval and Hussle’s family quickly shut down the charitable effort saying Bush was not authorized to collect funds nor do they need him to.

The NFL star and his Kim Kardashian-look-alike wife Lilit Avagyan appeared in a video looking sad and vowing to commit $10,000 of their own money to the GoFundMe for Hussle and Lauren London’s daughter Emani, and son from a previous relationship, Kross and solicited for others to contribute to Hussle’s kids as well.

But GoFundMe’s are usually for the needy and Hussle’s family said Hussle whose real name is Ermias Asghedom already put in the work to make sure his children were secure if ever this time came to fruition, a family source told the New York Daily News.

In fact, the source said Hussle’s “family did not ask anybody to create anything.”

“Things were created as we were burying him. No one asked his partner for permission,” the source said Tuesday, referring to the rapper’s fiancée, Lauren London. The source also said Hussle set up trust funds for his kids.

Hussle close friend Karen Civil, even took to social media to blast Bush and accuse him of doing this for personal gain.

Bush responded and tried to defend his actions nobody asked for.

Civil followed up and wrote:

No disrespect to Reggie Bush but Nipsey Life Partner nor his family asked for this to be done when he originally requested. Appreciate, everyone wanting to find ways to support Nip but his foundation for community efforts will be launched soon.”

Bush then denied Civil’s accusations:

Wait what??? Nah that’s actually INCORRECT check your facts what would I gain from this @KarenCivil ? And this is the very last time I will speak on it out of RESPECT for everyone! God Bless you!

Civil then replied:

I never spoke on what you had to gain, Simply asked you to remove the tweet, just like you did the gofundme. You asked prior to do this and was told no by family, but did it anyway. You never once spoke to Nip in the gym the many times you saw each other…

I understand you’re motivated and want to help, but there are other ways. His family already asked you NOT to do this. People are literally grieving over a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and someone who meant so much too [sic] so many people. This is not the time for this.”

The GoFundMe has been removed.

Civil has since urged anyone who truly wants to support Hussle to do so through his business, Marathon Clothing.

A Film By Beyoncé ‘Homecoming: brings Bey’s brilliance and Blackness to Netflix

Featured Image

The film “Homecoming” is about the American singer Beyoncé and her performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It premiered on Netflix on April 17.

The star singer Beyoncé, is no stranger to setting the bar, and she raised it higher than ever when she headlined Coachella in 2018. In her new Netflix film Homecoming, the superstar invites viewers on the 8-month journey to the historic performance that put #BlackExcellence on full display.

In the just over two-hour documentary that Beyonce Knowles-Carter executive produced, directed, and starred in, fans get an intimate look at what went in to creating one of the most spectacular shows ever. While Queen Bey is known for her incredible stage presence, nothing she has ever done compares to the meticulously curated set she served up what will forever be known as #Beychella.

Bey didn’t take the honor of being the first Black woman to headline the annual music festival lightly. She took that ball and ran her ass off. From her elaborate costumes, to the hand-picked orchestra, dancers, drumline, and majorettes; every aspect of the show was meant to highlight the importance and impact of the HBCU experience. Hearing Beyonce describe her intention and watching her pull it off will likely leave even her harshest critics in awe of her talent and her vision.

The documentary illuminates many truths about Beyonce and highlights several of her strengths including her relentless drive, her unyielding desire to deliver powerful messages, and her unique ability to educate and empower as she entertains like no other.

For those who missed both of her Coachella performances last year, Homecoming gives up the goods by revealing what happened on the stage and more importantly, why it happened. Every aspect of the show had a purpose and music fans will be fascinated by the way Beyonce considered every detail. Her inclusion of everything from the Black National Anthem (“Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing”) to the spot-on stepping segments; Beyonce put the whole world up on game they never knew existed while paying homage to her people in the most loving (and lit) way possible.

“So many people who are culturally aware and intellectually sound are graduates from historically black colleges and universities, including my father,” she says. “There is something incredibly important about the HBCU experience that must be celebrated and protected.”

Fans will get to see a much more vulnerable version of the icon than they’re used to. In rare form, we watch a woman who embodies the meaning of confidence battle the same demons many of us confront on a daily basis. Less than a year after giving birth to twins, Rumi and Sir, Beyonce grapples with the same self-doubt so many women and mothers will relate to. Can her body bounce back? Can it do what it used to? Can she dedicate the time and energy her work requires while managing to be an attentive mother?

Seeing Beyonce fight for the performance of her lifetime is as inspiring as the main event and reminds us all that she struggles just like the rest of us mere mortals. In one particularly candid scene, she admits she was 218 pounds when she gave birth to her twins and reveals that in order to meet her goal, she gave up pretty much everything from dairy to carbs to alcohol. Unlike so many other A-listers, she doesn’t drop this knowledge like it’s nothing, but instead admits “I’m hungry” and celebrates the moment she fits into an old costume like someone who has really been suffering through the grueling work for it. THANK YOU.

Homecoming has even more to offer die-hard fans who have been clamoring to see the twins she shares with her husband, JAY-Z. The toddlers are rarely photographed, but Bey must have been feeling generous when she decided to include tons of precious moments with her family in the documentary. The tiny tots are just as adorable as we imagined and watching her interact with them and her 6-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, shows that motherhood suits her very well indeed. If you were wondering if Blue Ivy has picked up and tricks and tips from her famous parents, the answer is clear when we see her mastering the choreography and calling some shots during rehearsals.

The Carters have made it clear that their success is a family affair and that doesn’t just include their nuclear brood. Beychella was created for the people, for our people, and it’s one of the most comprehensive and cohesive demonstrations of the beauty of Blackness we have ever seen on stage and now, onscreen.

‘Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé’ is available on Netflix now.

Report: Barcelona Close To Signing Ajax Wonderkid Matthijs de Ligt

Featured Image

Barcelona are reportedly nearing an agreement with Ajax for captain Matthijs de Ligt, who is said to be convinced to make the move to the Camp Nou.

Matthijs de Ligt, 19, has attracted interest from many of Europe’s biggest clubs as a result of his impressive performances in the Champions League.

Teammate Frenkie de Jong sealed a €75m switch to Barcelona in January, and De Ligt could soon follow.

No agreement has been reached as of yet, but according to ESPN Barcelona are in complete control of the situation, and club officials feel as though the deal is all but done.

They also claim to have been informed by a source that De Ligt is only willing to meet with Barcelona, despite interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester City.

The source added: “As was the case with Frenkie de Jong, Ajax will warn [Barca] if any other clubs make a serious move for [De Ligt].”

Manchester United Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Calls For “Clever” Summer Transfer Business

Featured Image

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the club must conduct “clever business” in the summer following their humbling exit in the UEFA Champions League.

Solskjaer admitted in the immediate aftermath of their 3-0 defeat in Barcelona, which sealed a 4-0 quarter-final win on aggregate for Barcelona, that he faces a major rebuilding job to re-establish United among the European elite.

In a previous era United were able to attract the world’s best talents but, despite their track record of spending big in recent years, that may no longer be the case.

They have a battle on their hands to finish in the Premier League’s top four but Solskjaer is already envisioning a scenario in the future where United are on an equal footing with their conquerors on Tuesday night.

“Yeah, that is the level we have to aspire to because that’s the level we have been,” Solskjaer told MUTV.

“We want to get there and we have to get there by hard work and attitude every single day, and of course some clever business we have to do and just keep on going.”

Solskjaer is seeking to finish the season with a flourish but added of the Barca setback: “We gambled and you can say that we gambled and lost but we had to go for the first goal.

“We had to be brave, we created two or three chances but unfortunately we just didn’t have that quality to finish them off.

“If we had got the first goal then it might have been different but when they score two goals in four minutes it’s just game over.

“To be fair to the boys, their attitude was good, they kept going.

“You have to lift them (the players). It’s a big week and we have to get ready for that week because (they are) three big games.

“We have five days until Everton, so we have got plenty of time to get ready and we will be ready.”

Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen In No Hurry To Sign New Deal At The Club

Christian Eriksen is reportedly holding off from signing a new contract at Tottenham until the summer as he is awaiting contact from Real Madrid.

Eriksen is believed to have been offered an improved deal by Spurs that will tie him down for a further three years.

As things stand, though, Eriksen is about to enter the final 12 months of his existing terms, which may force the club to sell him if Madrid makes an offer.

Despite reports that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will refuse to sell Eriksen for less than £170m, AS claims that he could be available for around £74m if his contract standoff prolongs into the summer transfer window.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United (Agg: 4-0): Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho send United packing

Lionel Messi’s first-half double inspired Barcelona into their first Champions League semi-final since 2015 as Manchester United were knocked out of Europe after a 3-0 loss at the Nou Camp, and 4-0 defeat on aggregate. Lionel Messi scored twice and Philippe Coutinho Barcelona’s third as Manchester United exited the Champions League at the last-eight stage

Left bruised and bleeding from a clash with Chris Smalling in the 1-0 first-leg win last week, Messi had his payback, ending his six-year quarter-final drought with a fine low strike (16) before his second somehow squirmed under David de Gea (20).

Barca will discover their semi-final opponents on Wednesday when Liverpool take their 2-0 lead to Porto, while for United their focus switches to the top-four race in the Premier League, starting with a trip to Everton on Super Sunday.
