Report: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘Does Not Want To Make Marquee Signings’

Featured Image

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly does not want to boost his squad with a series of marquee signings in this summer’s transfer window.

United are currently in a miserable sixth position in the Premier League table and will finish the 2018-19 campaign outside of the Champions League spots.

The Red Devils had been expected to spend heavily this summer following a disappointing season.

However, according to The Sun, Solskjaer wants to rebuild United ‘without marquee transfers’, instead favouring deals for younger players with potential rather than ‘the finished article’.

The same report has claimed that a new right-back and right-winger will be ‘a priority’ for the 20-time English champions when this summer’s transfer window opens for business.

United are once again being linked with a swoop for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, while Swansea City’s Daniel James has also reportedly emerged as a target.

Nigerian singer Teni Entertainer Get Recognized and Celebrated by Vogue Magazine

Featured Image

Teni is Gradually growing a wide-range spot as she get recognized by Vogue Magazine. The “Sugar Mummy” crooner has joined the growing list of Nigerian celebrities who have been featured on Vogue Magazine.

In an interview with Vogue Fashion News director, Chioma Nnadi, the award-winning musician talks about living life without limits and redefining what it means to be a woman in the interview with Fashion News director Chioma Nnadi.

The interview reads in part;

”Teasers for her upcoming “Sugar Mummy” video are all over her Instagram account, each one more audacious than the next. There she is, decked out in traditional Nigerian pink lace, a bedazzled fascinator perched atop her signature durag like a crown. Another clip features Apata casually swinging off the side of one of Lagos’s distinctive yellow danfo buses, dressed in a black T-shirt, jeans, and a towering cobalt blue headwrap, or gele. The aesthetic lies somewhere between a streetwise cool kid and soigné West African auntie, and somehow hits just the right note.”

Talking about the title of her new single, Teni reveals,

“I want to make ‘Sugar Mummy’ a positive term. She is a woman with swag, who looks good, who is proud to be different.” It’s that pride, that refusal to conform that has set Teni in a different lane to her peers. Pushing against the sexy narrative and choosing to be unapologetically herself, Teni has already redefined what it means to be a woman and marched to the beat of her own drum.

Teni continues,

“There’s an assumption that women have to look a certain way to be feminine, but I don’t want to conform to that stereotype,” she says. “My thing is this: You don’t get to decide how I choose to live my life. I’m being me—respect that. UGA, the university I went to, was mostly PWI—that’s short for a predominantly white institution. I remember someone even asked me if I had elephants in my backyard, it was wild. The other students would look at me crazy when I showed up to class in traditional dress, too. But you know that’s who I am. That’s my culture. If you can wear your blue jeans, I can wear this.”

Teni has been making waves with her music as she continues to release hit after hit. From “Case”, “Uyo Meyo”, and now to “Sugar Mummy”, Teni is proving that she is here to stay and the world better be ready for her undeniable talent.

A member of one of the group was killed along Murtala Muhammed Way, while another was murdered along Idaho Street, off Sakponba Road.

Edo State Commissioner of Police (CP), Danmallam Abubakar Muhammed mobilised his men to the area overwhelmed by cult violence a view to arresting those behind the killings.

It was gathered that another was killed along Agbor Road near NNPC depot, while another person was slain on Monday on a street opposite the NNPC depot.

Arsenal, Chelsea take last steps to Europa League finals

Featured Image

English giants, Chelsea and Arsenal will continue their quests for continental glory today when they return to the Europa League at the Stamford Bridge and Mestalla respectively. While Chelsea will host Eintracht in London, Arsenal will travel to Spain for the second leg of their tie against Valencia. Both matches will be broadcast in Nigeria by StarTimes on its Channels 254 and 245

Arsenal could be in for a nervy game after their opponents, Valencia thumped struggling Huesca 6-2 in La Liga at the weekend.

The Gunners appear to have one foot in the Europa League final in Baku, which takes place on May 29, after a 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg. A double from Alexandre Lacazette and a late strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang means the Spanish side have it all to do at the Mestalla.

Unai Emery’s side stuttered to a 1-1 draw against Brighton on Sunday, leaving them out of the reckoning for a top four finish in the Premier League. Now, their only realistic chance of qualifying for Europe’s premier competition is by winning the Europa League – and they may have to beat Chelsea in order to do so.

Chelsea, meanwhile, secured their place in next season’s Champions League with a 3-0 win over Watford, although they could be without N’Golo Kante for the second leg of this tie after he came off injured in the first half.
