Manchester born singing sensation Ezi Emela has a diverse network of influences. Born to Nigerian parents, the British songstress has kept a tight grasp on her African heritage and takes the shining elements of UK culture to create her brand new single ‘No Lele’, the visuals for which have just premiered on VEVO.
The record is doused in sensuality with a lick of fierce determination, as the velvet tones of Ezi Emela entwine their way across the Omeiza-produced musical backdrop. The afrotrap-leaning record makes a bold statement about Ezi Emela and her persistence in the face of any doubters.
Accompanied by an equally mesmerizing video, directed by Labi Odebunmi, that sees the former Chanel model take on many different guises, the colour and dancing cascade across the screen in an amalgamation of fashion, UK street and African culture.
Having previously released a variation of music that has seen Ezi Emela sway between styles and vibes, including a clearer British R&B sound on ‘Voicemail’, through to her collaborations with some of Africa’s biggest music legends such as P-Square, 2Face Idibia and the iconic Chocolate City record label, it is ‘No Lele’ that takes elements of all, to make this her biggest records to date.

Today is Kylie’s 19th birthday and elder half-sister Kim Kardashian is wishing her the very best as she calls her “the least judgmental person”she knows.
Kim writes to Kylie, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful boss sister @kyliejenner I love you more than you know! I’m so proud of who you are as a person! You are the least judgmental person I know! Keep being you!”
Kylie didn’t receive love from only her sis, Tyga had given his bae a pre-birthday gift of the 2017 Mercedes Maybach. It comes with a $191,300 tag, ie N62 million.
Bae goals, right? For both sexes so don’t think sexist thoughts.
Last year, for Kylie Jenner’s eighteenth birthday, she received a Mercedes G-Wagon from Tyga which was replaced with a Ferrari 458 convertible as the G-Wagon used to be his baby mama’s. A gift from Tyga to Blac Chyna.
If you ever worried what their big fall-out was about? There it is. “Their” refers to Blac hyna, Kylie Jenner, Tyga and the Kardashian sisters. The K sisters are against anyone against their baby sis. Simple.
Oh well, now everything’s well and good. With Blac Chyna becoming Tyga’s sister-in-law and Kylie’s elder half-brother, Rob becoming Kylie’s boyfriend’s son’s step-father.
Really twisted relationship, trust us, we get confused too.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian hates dancing, she revealed she gets into fights with Kanye West over it when she doesn’t move her body at any of his concerts she ‘manages’ to attend.
During Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim said to Kourtney Kardashian and Malika Haqq, “Like, it was our biggest fight that I don’t dance at Kanye’s concerts. I did not dance on Dancing With the Stars. Like, I did not dance!”
Kim explained, “My biggest fear was during Watch the Throne that if I sit next to Beyoncé, she dances and she’s up, like, you know. So, the last night of the tour, she came to dressing room and was like, ‘Hey, do you want to sit together?’”
The mother-of-two play cried while recalling the tale to the women.
Kim expressed, “Then, she wanted to go in the mosh pit and I was like, ‘What do we do in the mosh pit?’ She’s like, ‘Dance! Just let loose. Just dance!’ And I was like, ‘My life is over!’” LOL!
Charly Boy opines Nigerians are religious mugus being exploited by religious magas.
The controversial entertainer bared his brunt in an essay describing what ‘religion’ is to him and advised the populace to stop jumping from one religious offshoot to another in the name of “miracle”.
He added that some pastors are taking advantage of the peoples’ religious ignorance citing that every person can get his blessings directly from God without an intermediately, especially a mortal man like oneself.
The AreaFada as his Twitter handle refers also informed those who cared to know that he has read the bible from Genesis to Revelation over twenty times. Have you?
On the subject of fidelity, Charly Boy confessed to being sexual with only his wife for the past thirty-nine years.
Who are we going to ask?Oh well, if it’s true, we hail him. He’s a rare breed.
Read Charly Boy’s essay, posted by Linda Ikeji, it makes for an interesting read
Call me names, think what you may of brand CharlyBoy, Na for your pocket. I no send you. I will always say what I want to say, how I want to say it regardless of the many fake people I offend. Gbam! There is so much hypocrisy/fakeness going on in this goddamn country it’s incredible.
I was so tickled by some peoples comments, when I penned down my personal opinion on Pastor Adebayo’s yarns as to what constitutes a good wife/husband.
Aside the mass unemployment, ignorance and poverty abound, Naija I believe is the Genesis of this Pentecostal influence across Africa. I know that many would do anything to run away from the excruciating poverty my people are witnessing even if they have to speak in tongues and most Pastors are happily taking advantage of the situation. Der is God o!!
A lot of us been brainwashed on how to worship God as some churches now come up with different gimmicks. It is not surprising to see people attend church rituals involving frantic falls, as if grasped by epileptic seizures, forming attack by the spirits.
Yes, most of these dramatics are paid for, like the nollywood actor who claimed that the devil exited his body through his foot.
Now, some parents are praying for their sick children at home instead of seeking medical attention; of chaining children to enable the pastor cast out demons. Many women are caught having sex with pastors in bending corners, and found spending more time catering for their pastors.
How about husbands who have lost their wives totally to Randy and horny perverted pastors. Yes, what about the ones who can’t hold down a marriage, when me wey dem talk say I dey craze, don collect 39 yrs for one woman hand. Kai. The list goes on.
I am not suggesting that all Men of God are tinted, but out of a hundred you may not find 4 that live what they preach, the rest are taking advantage of our religious ignorance.
Would it surprise you if I tell you that I have read the bible page to page over 20times. So I know more than I make out. I know that true men of God do not misquote the bible, it’s only demons who misquote or misapply the bible in the same way. I know that God cannot punish us if we don’t pay tithe to our church because it is the goodness of our hearts that interests God more than physical and financial disposition.
I know that true men of God can not promise us happiness and prosperity all of that is a fortune-teller’s lie, there is nothing in the bible about any “medium” that God uses to deliver such blessing. When I was growing up, men of God were renowned for their simple lifestyles. They endured the hardships the natives suffered in a bid to impart in them the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the word of God.
The legacy of these humble men has since been overtaken by conmen to get rich from donations and wayo tactics as they mesmerize and swindle unsuspecting religious mugus.
Fake Christians should go and read Matthew 21: 22 which says “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive”. This, like many other similar verses in the New Testament, clearly explains that a man must have no latent doubt in his heart but must have absolute trust in the power and good will of God. Meaning therefore that it is not the Pastor’s prayer that sets one free from spiritual bondage, but first and foremost one´s faith in Jesus Christ. Nowhere is it stated in the Bible that, prayers and miracles must be done in exchange for money, biko, because salvation is for free and for everyone.
Our mumu never do?
It is unfortunate that while some churches minister to the spiritual, educational and economic needs of people, others use the same gospel fraudulently/intelligently to acquire wealth out of the destitution of the poor. Even more annoying are those who have the answers under their very noses, but who driven by these manipulations still abide blindly to such fake doctrines.
At the end of the day, I know that how a man chooses to worship his God is up to him. Worshipers are not forced to be followers in any of these churches; they follow some of these useless “men of God” on their own accord, thereby making the pastor’s wealth acquisition fairly legal.
However, Christians should always have this in the back of their minds. False christians and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive.
Are you a learner? Look that your pastor well well o. Man of God my Ass. End time tins.
If you did get through reading this, what are your thoughts? Does Charly Boy have a point? or is he just ranting?
Ed Sheeran Handed Lawsuit Over ‘Thinking Out Loud’ – Singer Ed Sheeran is in legal trouble after being accused of ripping off parts of a Marvin Gaye song.
Ed Townsend co-wrote 1973 hit Let’s Get It On with Gaye, and his family are claiming Sheeran copied key parts of the track for his song, Thinking Out Loud. Townsend’s family are seeking damages and have filed a lawsuit.
The court papers claim: “The Defendants copied the heart of Let’s and repeated it continuously throughout Thinking.
“The melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic compositions of Thinking are substantially and/or strikingly similar to the drum composition of Let’s.”
It’s the second lawsuit Sheeran is facing in recent times, following a $20 million lawsuit filed by 2 American musicians, who claim the British singer copied one of their songs in his song, Photograph.
Listen to both songs and see if there’s a similarity!
R Kelly’s new relationship has been met with disdain especially as she’s 19 to his 49.
Since his affair with Halle Calhoun became public knowledge, it has unearthed several cans of worms from the past, like his historical companionship with underage girls; eg his illegal marriage to Aaliyah and his child pornography allegations.
In 1994, Kelly secretly got married to Aaliyah when she was just 15 although it was later annulled. He asserted they both loved each other. Okay.
In 2002, a video of a man who looked like R Kelly having sex and urinating on an underage 13-year-old girl surfaced. He was never charged with sexual assault and his child pornography charges got dropped.
Despite this, child porn is an offense that always sticks even if you end up being proven innocent.
The claims forever damaged Kelly’s image which has caused his new relationship to be met with scorn.
Several people weren’t too pleased as they ripped the singer:
King Anthony (@trillac_) August 8, 2016 – R Kelly is a sick man. I don’t care he gave us the Ignition Remix.
Flex Luthor (@neckofdwoods) August 8, 2016 – Never forget. R. Kelly illegally married Aaliyah when she was 15 and he executively produced her hit song “Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number”.
NUFF$AID (@nuffsaidNY) August 8, 2016 – Yeah…so…R. Kelly might want folks to get over his past, but it looks like some people will never let him forget it.
caribbean.getaways – I just want to say that I am a fan of R Kelly’s music. I think he is a musical genius, but we gotta be real as a people if we really have love for him. Our brother needs help. R Kelly is a pedophile. Just being 💯. His history has shown all of us this but we overlook it because of his musical gift and that doesn’t help him or any of the young girls whose lives he has helped to alter. This young lady is of legal age so it’s not criminal, but just barely. With all his history with young girls people are still here defending him because of who he is knowing dam well if this was your 19 year old family member and just some 50 year old random dude from up the street this would not be beautiful or praise worthy. We need to get our brother the help he needs. This girl is legal but it ain’t no telling how old the next one we don’t hear about will be.
In R Kelly’s defense though, some don’t think she looks 19, they assert she is older. What do you think?
Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth has dismissed rumours that he was one of those who advocated for the emergence of the President Muhammadu Buhari led government.
Basketmouth, in a recent post on his Instagram page, made this disclosure, in reaction to hostile criticism from his followers, who accused him of endorsing the current government into power.
I usually try not to pay attention to comments from people that assume stuff or those who judge others based on perceptions. However I have also come to agree that when lies are said often enough, they begin to sound like truths. So I think it’s best I use this medium to clear the issue of “campaigns” and “support” now.
While many of my colleagues, friends and family members campaigned for the PDP, APC and various candidates during the last elections (and I cannot emphasize enough that it is their RIGHT to do so), I never campaigned for Buhari or any other politician.
ALL those saying that I did should do everything within their power to “THINK”. I know thinking can be a very difficult task for some but trust me, it can be a painless and enlightening process. THINK of when I ever “CAMPAIGNED” for BUHARI!!.. Indeed I personally HOPED that he would win the election and perhaps that was evident in my “body language” and I am happy he won. But I did not campaign for him.
Nigeria was in a bad place by the end of the last administration and it was only a matter of time before we would have suffered the plights of Brazil and Venezuela. Truth of the matter is that I would have voted ANYONE that could speak 2 words of English against GEJ and that’s strictly based on the amount of greed and selfishness we witnessed from members of his administration in the 6 years that he sat on the rock. They put us in this Septic tank we are in right now…..well, that and the oil price downfall amongst other things.
I have said it numerous times that I am not a politician hence I try not to dabble in politics. However I think a few people interpret crying out against injustice by the one as campaign for the other. When the Late FELA KUTI and BOB MARLEY cried out against the injustices in their days, were they being partisan? Of course not. They were just being HUMAN!
I am forever grateful to God for blessing me with a flourishing career, a beautiful family, food on my table and small change in my pocket. However I see too many people everyday who have not been so lucky to travel and see the way things are outside Nigeria/Africa. I have seen how GOVERNMENT can influence and affect the lives of the downtrodden positively. I am still patient, praying and hoping that PMB can turn Nigeria’s economy around and help strengthen Nigeria’s social justice system. Not so I can cheer him and be vindicated that I was right and some were wrong, but so my friends, family members and well-wishers who haven’t been favored as others can have renewed hope in our country Nigeria and the brotherhood we have enjoyed in this generation. Even the United States went through a tough recession in 2008 and with some patience they have been able to turn that around.
So long story short, did I campaign for PMB? NO! Do I support and PRAY that his administration should succeed and improve the life of the common man, increase security, food, jobs, infrastructure, quality of education, healthcare and every other area that will make Nigerians proud wherever they may find themselves? YES!!
On the other hand, should he and his party fail, we are all free to cast our votes for the next man come 2019 and I shall be exercising that right. No need for quarrel.
When you hear the name Jesse Garba Abaga or Jesse Jagz, what comes to your mind first? The younger brother of M.I. Abaga, the Nigerian rapper who lost his way, or one of the GREATEST out of Africa?
Jesse Jagz as a rapper, broke into the industry proper, in 2010 with the release of his debut album “Jag Of All Tradez”. The album housed 18 tracks which included top notch tracks like “Jargo” “Greatest” along with some other worthy to listen joints.
Even if it appears to be ignored in the Nigerian music industry, as a lover of the genre ‘hip-hop’ (…well I can’t possibly call myself an ‘OG’ even if I tasted a little from the ‘Ice-T’), I know and can give facts that the genre is mostly about bragging and it sounds better when it’s from the heart. That is: Hip-Hop or Rap music, is the Survival of the Fittest. Only the realest and sometimes rawest gain the glory –sorry …In Nigeria the gore is ignored–.
Moving on, the August 10, 1900 born rapper, producer and sometime Rastafarian – Jesse Jagz, has a footprint in the industry, which will without doubt, be preserved for a very long time if not forever.
It’s widely–acceptable for you to be skeptical about Jagz. But, wait after the below list you might give it another thought:
When the “Greatest” was released:
Like I said earlier, Hip-Hop is a genre that has to do with bragging. With Greatest, Jesse Jagz held his ground unveiling the genius in him, making it clear that he is here to stay. Connecting the song to his life, he rapped “This is my expression // This is the result of my refreshing // This is the JOY that came from my DEPRESSION”.
When “Third World War (feat. Femi Kuti)” was released:
Somehow, this song wasn’t “really” popular when it was released. The official soundtrack for the 2015 Nigerian psychological movie Heaven’s Hell, may not be popular but it is till date, one of the best collaborations in Nigeria.
This wasn’t The Clash of the Titans, rather it was the “Coming Together of Zeus (Femi Kuti) and Kratos (Jesse Jagz)”. And, when those two come together, you’d better pledge allegiance.
When “Jargo” was released:
Okay, who wasn’t moved by this track? Deliveries were on point; production was something else. This was the tune that made Jesse Jagz, your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.
The moment Jesse Jagz embraced Rastafari, and prayed with a “Burning Bush”:
Jagz Nation, Vol.1. Thy Nation Come, was the revolution of Jesse Jagz. When he heard the call, he gladly embraced and welcomed it. With Burning Bush, jesse Jagz paid homage to Hadiza Aboki (still don’t know who that it is though).
The point when all Jesse needed was “Sex and Scotch”:
Jesse Jagz brought out his explicit side with the ear soothing song, to make filling-up of the ovary extremely easy. As long as there is a connection, the testicles know what to do.
Forget the herbs, Reggae music isn’t what you wake-up as an artist or musician and decide to delve into. If you’re competent enough, it will find you and make you feel alive.
When Jesse Jagz and Rexx mixed the Herbs with Palm Wine for “High Life”:
In my opinion, High Life elaborated the energy and courage alcohol can easily provide when you need to woo a lady. With Jesse Jagz’s calm delivery and the Rexx proving himself to be one of the “Lords of the Hooks,” on a superb eastern production, High Life was a stand out track on his “Jagz Nation Vol. 2: Royal Niger Company” album.
Dear rapper, before dissing please remember this disclaimer; “Nobody Test Me”:
The closing track of debut album – Jag Of All Tradez, “Nobody Test Me (feat. Ice Prince & M.I.)” is arguably the best Chocolate City collaboration ever recorded. You can’t expect less from an ANTHEM that has a warning title.
From his archive of hits, above are seven songs by Jesse Jagz that sent your favorite rapper running for cover. Whenever the “god” is on the mic, you know it’s going to be blessed day for the believers and otherwise for the non-believers.
For a producer who delved into rapping, you can’t tell me Jesse jagz’ versatility is not a gift from God. I mean, go through your favorite Nigerian entertainment/music platforms and see what your favorite rapper thinks about Jesse Jagz. You can also tweet at your favorite rapper(s) and ask if him/her don’t feel scared when Jagz comes through.
Dwayne Johnson isn’t pleased with several of his “chicken shit” male casts of Fast and Furious 8.
The Rock as he’s known to wrestler-viewers shared during a shoot of his final scenes of #Fast8 that while he loves his really amazing female co-stars, his love is lost on several of the movie’s masculine actors.
Dwayne Johnson, 44, bellowed about few of the male actors conducting themselves graciously as “stand up men” and “true professionals” while others were just “candy asses” who were also too “chicken shit to do anything about it.”
Dwayne Johnson wrote:
This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well.
My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story.
Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.
When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.
Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well.
The producer in me is happy about this part😉. Final week on FAST 8 and I’ll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses
Who got on Dwayne Johnson’s bad side? Is it new cast, Scott Eastwood? Clint Eastwood’s son, or veteran actor Kurt Russell, who starred as Mr. Nobody in Furious 7?
Or maybe it’s longtime casts, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris or Jason Statham? Well he has acted with these group of people before so maybe they’re off the list… or maybe not.
Who then is the “chicken shit” or “candy asses”? Pray tell Dwayne.
It’s not the first time the Rack City rapper is having financial issues. Earlier in the year, he had his 2013 Lamborghini Aventador and 2014 Bentley Mulsanne repossessed for failing to pay Choice Motor Credit, the car loan company.
Despite all this, Tyga continues to ball on social media, and recently purchased a 2017 Mercedes Maybach for girlfriend Kylie Jenner as an early birthday gift.
Tim Westwood, is undoubtedly one of the most important disc jockeys and radio personalities in the UK and he’s talking about African music influencing UK rap artists, his perception of Wizkid as a G.O.A.T and the three artists who left a lasting impression on him.
For the last three decades, Westwood’s praises have been sung from the “superstars of the late 1980s to the titans of the 1990s, and the upstarts of the aughts.”
As a matter of rap-fact, you aren’t a rap sensation or any sensation if you haven’t been on Tim Westwood’s show.
That’s why Snoop Dogg said, “You can’t come to the Kingdom and not see the prince,” referencing Westwood’s reign as the prince of hip-hop DJing.
In a powwow with XXL magazine, the iconic DJ who have anchored the No. 1 urban show on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra for nearly 20 years said, “In the U.K., the rise of Afrobeats, which is African music from Nigeria, from Ghana and from the U.K. and that’s really powerful and that’s also influencing a lot of U.K. rap artist’s style that’s a super powerful thing out here.”
“Obviously Drake cosigned Wizkid, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg, but Wizkid is certainly one of the greatest artists I’ve ever seen.” Tim confessed.
Tim Westwood calls Wizzy one of his greatest of all time, that’s a plus for the Nigerian sensation.
On the three enigmas who left a mark on his heart throughout his career, he said, “I would definitely say Biggie because that was such a defining moment in hip-hop. Tupac because of what he meant. Tupac resonates beyond belief. And then I would think if there was a third, I would say Drake because of what Drake is doing. Drake is changing hip-hop and making it so big.”

Nollywood veteran actress turn evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has opened up on her reconciliation with God and how it doesn’t prevent her from accepting certain scripts from movie producers in the country’s Industry.
The Imo State-born actress, who made this disclosure known in an exclusive interview with The Sun, also spoke about growing up in a wealthy family and the derisive challenges she faced from her colleagues as a born-again Christian.
Read excerpts from the interview below:
How do you combine acting and being born again?
Do you know when I started ministering? By the grace of God, I gave my life to God on March 17, 1997, at Holy Ghost Power Ministry Church, Adeniyi Jones, Lagos. The pastor of the church then was Pastor Emma Obasi who is still a father of faith to me. March 17, 2017 will make it 20 years I have been with God. While you are seeing me as a movie legend, all the years you have been seeing ‘act all the actable’. I am still acting because I have not left my talent. This is my own definition of being born again. Born again means you have realised and discovered that you were living a life of sin, but now, you want to live a life that would please God.
As a born again, how do your colleagues relate with you?
I remember years ago when I gave my life to God, my colleagues were laughing at me. ‘Your mates are busy doing aristo, your mates are busy seeing governors, your mates are busy going to the clubs in Victoria Island, Ikeja, and everywhere, you sey na church you wan go’. They used to say that ‘something is wrong with Eucharia’. ‘Can you imagine with all her degrees, and doctorate in waiting, na to go church?’ But today, by the grace of God, where I sit they can’t sit; where I go they can’t go. I sit with governors and presidents not for aristo, and not for someone to take me to a corner of a room to sleep with me. I am not among the superstars they would say, ‘that one get good shape, go corner her for hotel for me’ and they come and meet you only in the night. They don’t need to take me to any corner of the room through Personal Assistant. They call me to the lobby of the governor or president’s chapel to pray and declare the word of God Almighty. And when I am done, they shake my hands and say, ‘lay hands on me’.
What kept you going and how did you pull through?
The bible says, ‘show me your friend and I will tell you who you are’. My good friend, Peter Ononiwu knew me back then. He saw my tears as I was crying. He said ‘do you know that you are a very beautiful girl with a fine shape? ‘You can start modelling’. It was Peter that introduced me to modelling. That was how I started modelling. Modelling has gone down; it was at that time that modelling was on. There was no modelling show they did that I was not on the front burner. It was then I discovered that God gave me a good shape. It was then I discovered I had a unique face. You know, people call me ‘the ancient lady’, ‘Philippians lady’ or ‘Chinese lady’ because of my face and small eyes and because I have unique features. So, when any fashion designer saw me, he or she would pick me because of God’s glory upon my life, and because I started seeking God early. It was the denouncement of my father that, he’s not going to send me or any other girl to university or higher institution that made me seek God early. After that, I started modelling. But I was determined in myself that, if my father said a girl can be nothing, then I would prove him wrong. I said to myself ‘I am not a mistake of creation’. ‘There is a reason God made me a female’.
As an evangelist, do you still accept scripts like Ashawo (Prostitute)?
If they give me the one of Ashawo, I will do. But then, I’m not going to smoke, because I don’t smoke in real life, and I’m not going to drink. I can simulate, for instance, like in drinking, but then, I might not wear clothes that will reveal parts of my body. There is one I did with Mama Patience, we went to rob a bank; there’s a film we went to rob a bank. We were carrying AK-47; the gun is heavy o! The title of the movie is “Widow’s Gang”.

The third season for Empire will be premiering this September and its bringing with it a star-studded guest list, expect to see appearances from the likes of Taye Diggs, French Montana, Sierra McClain, Birdman, and the delectable Mariah Carey.
Mariah will be making her special feature on the series’ Oct. 5 episode as Fox announced, Monday, August 8.
The 46-year-old’s character will be that of a mega-superstar – we didn’t expect anything less – named Kitty who will work on a duet with Jamal ie Jussie Smollet.
Somewhere along the line, their song gets stuck and its left for Kitty to inspire Jamal who ends up digging deep “to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough.”
Coincidentally, Mariah Carey is also Jamal’s dream guest star.
He declared, “I keep saying, and I hope they can make this happen, because she’s one of Lee’s closest friends, I really want to see Mariah Carey on the show.”
Cookie Lyon played by Taraji P Henson said about Mariah’s appearance on the show, “She was great. She’s fabulous, she’s beautiful to look at. I’m grateful she spent time with us.”
Taye Diggs on the other seems to be gunning for the role of a love interest for Cookie, though the panelists are keeping mum on his character.
In May, Mariah talked about having a chat with the show’s co-creator, Lee Daniels who was a friend.
She said, “I like working with Lee on movie projects because he’s still a great director. They had this one idea and I was like, ‘Look if I’m not going to have an amazing character arc then why would we go on Empire to be basically a version of myself ?’ So leave it to Lee and he’ll have me in a wig they took out of a garbage can and a mustache,”she added jestingly.
Empire will return with its third season on Wednesday, September. 21 on Fox.

We eat together – I don’t cook very often, we have someone who prepares our food – then it’s bath time and stories.
